I was joking about the circle of healing nerf
A few days ago, I joked about BHVR nerfing circle of healing to 50% increased healing speed and calling it a day.
Looking to see if the game changed and what was to come, I figured that it was exactly what they were going to do.
It started with a laugh, and ended with laugh.
Guess I'm gonna wait more, unless I forget about the game.

It would still be good without any speed boost.

I fully expect that it will eventually be made into X% Altruistic healing speed aka doesn't effect the self healing.
Remember even former devs were confused as to why the healing speed up effects the self healing.

So just self care for everyone? I seriously doubt that would be good, survivors running to the boon totem to spend 32 seconds healing.

No it wouldn't. At that point it's selfcare with extra steps and conditions. In other words utter trash.

Self Care is often complained about on the survivor side. Of course, if you use it right, it's a decent perk, but nothing too great. I think it would be a shame if the only new survivor perk this entire year that entered the meta would fall out of the meta.
You also need to bless a totem for CoH. So for your first heal, you are spending 46 seconds doing nothing else. I'm positive barely anyone would still use CoH if it didn't increase healing speed at all.
Not to mention, with Self Care, you can heal anywhere. Meanwhile, with CoH, you would have to spend time running to the boon totem's radius, and if the killer is there, you probably won't be able to heal.
So yeah, I believe having CoH just be a Self Care for anyone would completely wreck the perk.
It needs at least a 33% bonus to healing speed in my opinion, the same as Botany Knowledge. Self Care would then take 24 seconds and two survivors healing would take 12. But I think for now we should wait and see how 50% healing speed is.

Anything worthy of taking a spot in an already busted meta will also be busted. The best part is you only need one while the other 3 can run the old busted perks.

Yes. Self-care can be done anywhere without the hassle of a boon. Time to locate and bless is time away from gens. I also don’t want to encourage teammates to spend time self-healing if it takes too long. It’s better to bring med-kits or find someone to heal.
