The Amanda's Letter add-on for The Pig has been Kill Switched due to an issue with incorrect RBT count.

Revert STRIDOR
I still can't believe the devs actually nerfed a bad perk that's decent in just ONE killer.
Yes, this perk was op with the old spirit since she didn't have counterplay but things have changed and she is more balanced now, no reason for stridor to remain nerfed.
Our OP girl deserves to be happy again.

how about we make it so IW will doesn't just block out all sounds for some reason.

I would rather them rework the perk into something interesting. a perk that's only worth running on one character needs to be changed
2 -
No thank you, spirit would be overpowered again.

Honestly I would rather the perk be reworked all it does if you ask me is make tracking survivors confusing

old Stridor was flat out bad except on one Killer, and for that killer it was merely training wheels that would actually end up kind of work against you even though Stridor had zero counterplay. Stridor makes Survivors sound closer than they really are.
Kind of a shame, when I first got the perk when I was new my first thought was that this sounds like an awesome perk for Pyramid Head. But Aura perks work better for tracking.
I just want to see Stridor be just as strong as Nurses and Thana, but I think that will require an entire rework with an entirely new effect. And I'd like to see IWnot be so powerful against Spirit so we can change Dried Cherry Blossom.

Originally Stridor was the only counter to Iron Will, as while it didn't reduce IW's effect, It still raised the Pained grunting to 50% from IW's -100%(IW = -100 to Pained grunting sounds, Stridor = +150% to Pained Grunting = -100%+150%= 50% to Pained grunting sounds. Otherwise Stridor raises Normal/Healthy Breathing sound by 25%, but Pained grunting and Healthy Breathing are 2 different states). Then came a Bug around the time Pig was released wherein Stridor no longer affected IW at all, and IW was an absolute counter to all killers, Stridor or not... this "Bug" Lasted until late 2019, and Stridor was again at least back to its former glory as a counter to IW, but people also realized how powerful it was on a Certain Killer who can't see survivors while using her power: Spirit. Then around a year ago now, The devs changed how IW and Stridor work against each other, and again reworked them in a way that made Stridor useless against IW users, in an effort to curb Spirits advantage, But then, only a few patches later, they Nerfed the Spirit anyways, In a way to make her audibly easier to predict for survivors, and now we have a perk that has been nerfed for no reason... and remains nerfed despite its previous utility on the 1 killer who could actually use it effectively.
I once proposed a change wherein, If a surivor is using IW, then they don't lose normal breathing audio, and instead replace their Pained grunting with 25% louder normal breathing sounds, which would make Stridor users hear IW Survivors normal breathing noises 50% louder to compensate, since atm, Pained grunting sound is completely nullified, making survivors breathing/grunting noise of any injured survivors entirely inaudible to killer whether they have Stridor or not.
If they don't make the change OP is suggesting and just Revert Stridor/IW to compensate for the current game, I believe it would only be fair that they could at the LEAST consider the change I suggested so long ago.
Alas, this idea was ignored, and Iron Will reigns supreme.

If you want easy mode on Spirit just use Dried Cherry Blossom. It's arguably even better than old Stridor on her and Iron Will doesn't counter it.
Old Stridor did not need to exist and honestly its current form is pointless. It needs a rework of some kind but certainly not a revert.

Nah, thanks though.

If you want ez games as Spirit, you have to use an Add On-Slot for that. But then the game plays for itself, dont worry.
Reverting Stridor would be really bad. The Perk was only used on one Killer, because it was busted on that one Killer. And no other Killer used it, even when people have a problem with Iron Will, they would never use Stridor.
It would be better to rework Stridor into something else which is actually useful on more than one Killer. Current Stridor is lacking, but the same can be said about old Stridor as well. Giving it an entirely new effect is the way to go.

Reverted Stridor won't make Spirit any easier. In fact, It'll make her even easier to track for the survivors because if she's going off of their sound alone, and they can hear her phasing around them, but because stridor amplifies their noises and makes them sound closer than they actually are, while Spirits phasing sound makes her sound as close to survivors as she actually is... Survivor obviously ends up with more accurate information on her whereabouts don't they?
I don't see how you guys think this change/reversion to Stridor would make Spirit "Easy" mode given her current changes. If anything, while it may be great for tracking in open areas, it won't do much against IW or standard survivors around loops other than give them the advantage.

My baby deserves way better than what she gets!

Imo there is no way to really fix stridor without reworking it/giving it a new effect.

It wasn't OP because she did have counterplay.

Iron Will does counter Cherry Blossom. You can't get close to a survivor if you can't hear them.

I actually agree a bit now. She most definitely did have counterplay. Directional audio doesn’t make her weak but it still wasn’t necessary.

I'd rather have Stridor be reworked into something more useful than have it reverted back to its previous version.

a coin toss is not counterplay, especially if u dont have thousands of hours and knowdlege about the addons she is using... cause certain addons just bring old spirit back and worse...
1 -
You don’t need thousands of hours. It’s about making the reads harder for her and if you’d take the time to learn how it works, it’s really not that bad to go against, especially now with directional audio.

i was talking in line with the stridor thing. not what she is now, wich as i said can be what she was very easily with cherry blossom, and actually worse. if u dont have the knowdelege about the addons she is using u cant know how far she can go and what she is able to and not to, you get that when u play the game enough against her and sometimes as her... so of course is an important thing to know what she is using or not and of course you cant till the end of the game unless is one of those cringe tourneys...
also those reads u say usually go in par with Iron Will otherwise u are in problems especially when pallets arent long enough to have the time to react, she is fast, is not like u can outplay her cause now she just has a lot of counterplay u know it doesnt work like that.

Thats the thing many people want DCB to be reworked but until IW or Stridor get reworked that won't happen. I believe making IW max be 90% would be enough to allow Stridor to work without it being too powerful on Spirit and then they can rework how DCB is or even remove it and bring back Father's Glasses

Okay new plan: we fix the 5 year old Iron Will bug and survivors that are injured still breathe now.
3 -
You can still get close to them phasing since you move much faster especially with Mother Daughter Ring which Dried Cherry Blossom is almost always paired with.
You still need to have some semblance of tracking and prediction skills but DCB negates a lot of the possible mind gaming you can pull against a Spirit. For example trying to move towards her while she's phasing will trigger killer instinct and they'll just come right out of it and hit you.

A bad perk should not be reverted to being a bad perk that one killer uses.
Stridor should be reworked, not made to be stupid on Spirit and worthless on everyone else.

I believe the old form was bad enough. It should never, EVER be sent back to where it was.
Gotham deserves a new breed of criminal - and we're going to give it to them.

Grunts of pain and breathing sounds of healthy, injured, and dying survivors are increased by 30/40/50%.
Your breathing and vocal sounds are decreased by 30/40/50%
Survivors within your terror radius do not recover from Exhaustion or Broken status effects.
~
By making the perk directly better than before, it becomes much more attractive for those who benefit from audio cues to find survivors - especially in chase. The secondary benefit is the cherry on top. The ability to have lower breathing and vocal sounds greatly boosts the stealth aspects of many ambush killers, and can throw off many veteran survivors that rely on such contextual audio to pinpoint the killer’s location. But the creme dela creme that makes the perk attractive is the ability to juggle and float debuff timers on exhaustion and broken - making it much more difficult for survivors to make plays without recourse. Limiting the use of powerful perks and keeping survivors unable to recover from brokenness makes this perk incredibly strong to quell perks that would otherwise punctuate chases in the survivor’s favor. Survivors themselves do not necessarily rely on the recovery of these statuses to continue in the game, which means that broken and exhausted players will be forced to retreat far and away from your sphere of influence if they wish for reprieve. The discovery of this perk will make survivors think twice about using their perks - as the recovery on choice selections will grow quite punitive in nature.

The exhaustion part paired with fearmonger would be busted, I love it

I thought you were the one who made this post lol
