It's time to revert the Spirit changes
Nobody plays her and only the Rin fanatics futilely attempt to argue in her favour. Here is what needs to occur:
Completely remove the phase sound. Have a single sound effect when she starts and ends phase that can be heard within the terror radius to prevent standing still since it makes people so hysterical. That's all that was ever needed.
Revert the addon changes with the blockheaded meme effects nobody ever uses.
Make her 115% (110% killers shouldn't exist in the first place)
And then she will be good again. Cry all you want...

But nah, it was completely justified that Spirit got nerfed. She is still a strong Killer. However, it is not effortless anymore to play her well, and this is completely fine for an S-Tier Killer.

The removal of the standing still mindgame was the justified nerf. Everything else was BHVR caving in to people who refused to learn counterplay.

Im pretty sure spirit has 115% movement speed at least when I played her she felt normal and not slow like huntress.

Only thing I slightly agree with is the phase. I think the phase shouldnt be directional that's it. You can still hear her go into phasing and when she's done. This prevents the standstill mind games that were a problem before while keeping the killer still strong. Also the adons need a look at cause most of them feel super gimmicky and useless.

The only reason she's so unpopular now is because most of the people who played her are the same one who will main literally anything if you tell them "It's ridiculously strong and not hard to play."
The second something like that sees a nerf they jump ship to the next most broken thing.

As someone who had to play against pre-nerf spirit more often then he would have liked, absolutely not
Spirit is still top 5 strong, she just requires you to actually use your brain on a consistent basis

Current Spirit is absolutely fine and still strong. She deserved the phasing sound changes so Survivors actually had an idea of what the hell she was doing and for some reason you think a Survivor should just get lucky every 15 seconds she can use her power

I play both sides and didn't have an issue with spirit. She was seriously strong but that's just how it was. Rather have better killers than those that don't get played anymore.

I don't understand her power now. In the short chase around pallets etc, she can't hear the survivor (who can also run iron will to be completely silent, regardless of Stridor), and whilst the survivors can't see her, they can hear exactly where she is and move accordingly.
I don't think I've actually ever won a 50/50 since this change because it's not a 50/50 any more. Survivors have the info, Spirit gains nothing but marginal speed which is not enough to make up for the fact that you can literally hear her coming (and see if you pay attention to grass, etc)

These just sound unneedingly OP, her phase sound exists for a good reason as it lets you know that she is phasing and not standing still in the first place
115% movement speed on a killer who has one of the strongest powers in the game as is sounds like a terrible idea as well
Add-ons were changed as she had a few strong ones that were overbearing

Trust me when I say that she is alot harder to balance than she looks, similar to Nurse in a way as if you change Nurse in the wrong way her power will be severely changed, even if its not direct

Whatever, no matter what we do it’s a lose lose. People think she’s trash now and so no one except for me and like 6 other people actually play her, so that’s just depressing. If we buff her in this way we will for certain go back to the good ole “nerf Spirit” threads that I’ve gotten sick of. No matter what, there’s just division in the community based off her position.

We both know the devs don't care about making her fun or balanced. They heard whining for a nerf, so they just gave survivors full control of her power through complete and infallible info, much like how they designed Sadako to have no power except at survivor leisure. Ironically that made it so that the counter to her, aside from IW, is now 'just have good headphones', much like the way to play her is 'just have good headphones'.

Again I’m trying to tell you all she’s fine even with directional audio but no one listens. I have had to say countless times why she’s still strong.
Giving her OG Prayer Beads Bracelet basekit plus being 115% is only going to cause more DCs, the return of the nerf Spirit threads that’ll probably be more intense then before, and people constantly try to mention how she takes so little skill. It’s not a good idea.
Just leave her alone please.

She is not trash, she is just average now. Any average killer can do well in good hands, I just don’t want to hear the S-tier bs anymore.
She used to be fun, not because she was strong, but because you could do silly stuff like grab people off gens, get back to a hook fast without them knowing, or stand still. Also you could play her without addons and do well, which attracted a lot of new players.

My suggestion is to leave her where she’s at. Some add ons may need changes but in terms of base Spirit, she’s fine.

All of them unless they have tools that help them 4k literally every single game e.g. Nurse and Blight.

I actually liked facing the old spirit because as strong as she was just like the nurse there is such a satisfaction of stomping a really good one (equally getting stomped). Now I see her I go cool easy win in coming. Love the ones who try to use the good all stand still and wait for survivor to move. Now to counter her mind game when they stand still to make it look like they are phasing is to stand and wait because unless you hear the sound she is not phasing. I honestly hate the nerf they gave her because even as strong as she was she required skill and patience to play effective.
They need to balance her again because even when she was at her strongest she was at least still had to follow her the rules of the game and did not just ignore all the games mechanics.

I would say :
- S tier : the killer can use his power in chases instead of being looped the traditional way, reducing the time to get downs. The killer power is not in the survivors hands. The killer also has mobility to patrol gens.
- A tier : the killer can use his power in chases, instead of being looped the traditional way, reducing the time to get downs. The killer power is not in the survivors hands. The killer has no mobility (that’s why they are not S tier).
- B : the killer can use his power in chases, but his power can be 100% countered by survivors, in the end the chase can last as long as a traditional loop, or even longer. The killer can have some form of mobility.
- C tier : the killer power is very weak, the survivors have to make huge mistakes for the killer ton get value. The killer has no mobility.
Spirit is now B tier. Her power can be 100% countered by good survivors, considering how much info she gives for free, and she still have some mobility.
Who is in A tier above her ? I would say The Artist, Pyramidhead for exemple.

Yes. The Artist has antiloop and can secure downs, with DMS she can block all gens and secure kills. Her power is in her own hands and cannot be countered by survivors (except Dead Hard but it's the same for all killers).

And we know how most antiloop killers function. Artist has no 4v1 potential while Spirit does and also has potential for faster downs than Artist.

I believe you when you say spirit is still strong. By any chance, could you record and upload footage of yourself playing spirit and show us how strong she can really be? I've been wanting to play more spirit myself, but I sadly don't have a working headset. :(

I'm still trying to work on that Spirit guide but being currently on a break from DBD and just being busy, I haven't had much motivation to. I do stream on Twitch and usually DBD, but like I said, I'm still taking a bit of a break from the game.

id love to see spirit be 115; i feel like nothing meaningful will happen with iron will, so let us just be able to loop normally. one thing i think that kinda gates people from Spirit is precisely because shes 110% and kinda needs to use power, which is not a bad thing but at this point frig it.
But I think shes a strong and balanced killer. Way more than Blight that's for sure. I think Spirit is in a good spot right now.
