What if we buffed Sadako?
I don't have that much to say. Just that I think Onryo needs some sort of buff, and I think many of you will agree with me. Personally, I think her condemned power thingy should be more oppressive. Because how it is now, it's almost like it doesn't even exist.
I was thinking about giving her a small speed boost after Manifesting, like Wraith. But maybe that would be a bit too much?

Just give her being able to walk through pallet and wall.
She is a ghost she should intangible.

Pinhead's box is giving second objective to survivors because chain hunt is so strong.
Pig's traps is giving second objective to survivors because it can kill you.
Sadako's tapes? Do not touch televisions, you will hear when she teleport to you. It is not threat for survivors and it is not gives second objective to survivors.
Sooooo, i would buff her this part of base-kit (for start). Her televisions should be threat for survivors, so survivors would not ignore them.

I would be a very happy player.
She isn't a ghost though lmao and walking through pallets and walls is not only a nightmare to code and balance but just makes her a boring nurse with far less skill

On Sadako's perspective, it feels her slow down is useless since you never see survivor running for the tape, as you dont see their Condem level.
On Survivors' perspective, 4 Condem is the right time to find an active TV (+1 stack for getting tape, +1 stack running to another TV incase getting chased mid run). Having 4 Condem but not able to find an active TV feel pressured for survivor. Especially some survivor take tape near their Gen to prevent Sadako teleport, which also prevent their teammate getting the tape.
My idea is Teleport is fixed to 2 stack of Condem, the more survivors in range, the stacks equally split to each survivor (2 stack on 1 survivor, 0.5 stack on 4 survivors). Have a Brown addon that increase the stack to 3.
For now, a teleport can be randomly give 1 stack on 1 survivor (useless), or 4 stacks on 4 survivors (rarely happen but too powerful). I think the idea fix it

Why she isn't a ghost ?
She's technically a dead.
1 -
She's not a ghost, the curse is a psychic projection she made while still alive.
1 -
A vampire is technically dead as is a mummy, a zombie and many other things. The method of ones demise affects what they become and their inherent abilities. Sadako's abilities before she died and followed by the manner of her death have resulted in what she has become.

But her can attack other ghost.

Some types of undead can affect other types of undead. The Vampire Chronicles and The Witching Hour by Anne RIce show examples of this such as with Claudia.

Just give her a mid range attack that you can bait to zone survivors or force them into lose lose situations /s

Sadly , devs will not buff her anymore.

They didn’t say they’re not going to buff her any more, they said they’re still in the process of reviewing and testing her for her first balance pass.
2 -
Mm. As nifty as that would be, it's probably not realistic.
I'd rather just enhance and slightly tweak her kit to make her good.
And when you need to turn off a TV, it's really easy and carries very little risk compared to solving the box.
She just needed more time in the oven.

She really just needs her projection cd per tv to be lowered. 100 seconds is so long considering that survivors only put it on a 60 second cd.
In my experience unless Sadako is running Iri Videotape, there's zero threat of being condemned by her and little reason to take out tapes because the tv is off for so long if she teleports there.
2 -
Agreed. I’ve played her and find her lackluster considering no one touches the TVs and I never worry about condemned because when I play it doesn’t happen.

i have to say, few things infuriate me more than being pallet stunned while be demanifested. i'm DEMANIFESTED! as in, NOT MANIFESTED. how can i be pallet stunned? absurd. XD
1 -
i feel this, but I feel like it's made up for by the laugh I get when survivors panic dead hard while I'm still demanifested.

Her problem is the same as it has always been. You can't do anything against good survivors. You will eat pallet after pallet and there is nothing you can do to avoid it. If you play at high MMR then you'll be lucky to get two kills when you play well. Her 4K potential is basically non existent if the survivors have any amount of skill. Going up against four dead hards and circle of healing in particular feels hopeless. There's a reason why almost no one is playing her anymore. She does not feel good to play at all. They created a killer who is hard countered by everything in the survivor meta. Hit and run? Instant heals with boons. No anti loop abilities? Just run from pallet to pallet and play it safe. Dead hard into a pallet when you need distance because there is nothing she can do about it.

She is weak as well as hard to use. Her speed up from teleporting out of the TVs has the same level of inadequacy as Wraith's current speed up out of cloak. Survivors can get rid of 3 (or was it 4?) points of condemned by putting in 1 tape, and that also turns off a TV so she can't teleport there. They stay turned off forever, whether they get turned off by survivors or whether she teleports to them. Her invisibility does nothing in chase, she can't hit anybody while she's in that mode, and she even gets slowed down a little bit while going in and coming out of it for some reason.

ye theres def some buffs that wouldnt go wrong with her

Yes, but how? Her TV's are usually pointed away from survivors and into walls and corners, disorienting you upon coming out of it. She also has to go through that animation and then demanifest just to tp to them again, which kills the argument that she can "spam her teleport" or that it's "instant", because in reality it's really slow and clunky. She needs her best add-ons for condemning people just to have a sliver of a chance to get a condemned kill on them, which she not only has to throw the game to pull off, but it also doesn't touch up on her overall chance to compete either. Like most weak killers, she NEEDS her pink and purple add-ons for you to play her normally.

Any Sadako buff is welcome, her biggest problem is that her condemned is useless and her teleport is one of the worst in the game since it can easily be disabled by survivors in so little time.

She is a two hit killer with a teleport that is heavilly telegraphed. With long cooldowns. In a meta that has dead hard and med kits aggresively countering her hit and run tactics. This is very apparent when you look at dredge. Who has a significantly shorter cooldown with lockers positioned in zones where he telegraphs little and his main counterplay misused can be turned on the survivors to not just hurt the survivors but grab them. With an anti llop phamtasm he can fake.
Sadako has no unqiue advantage other then an undercooked condemened systems that further nerfs her teleport capabilites and is deliberatly designed to be underwhelming. With some add ons being required. All high rarity!

She has the least effective teleport ability of all the teleporting killers.
She has no anti-loop.
She has a gimmick that can sometimes to used to dupe a survivor into making a small error in movement in some very specific situations.
Her main power, 'Condemned' never works.
She's basically a worse Freddy.
In this case the only reason she is 'hard to use' is because she's weak.
