Why survivors dislike Pinhead?
When I play survivor I like to play againts him but in my games he is very rare killer to find. I don't find his power to be annoying or super strong either. I don't fully understand why people dislike to go againts him.
Comments
-
Probably because he is amazing against solos due to the coordination required to solve the box effectively
15 -
I thought it was because NFTs.. but people get over things quickly! I find him fun and one of the few killers I want to face, don't see why others disagree. I think it's just survivors complaining like they do with every other killer... when he is easily counterable and not very strong.
5 -
Before his changes it's was very hard to play against him with solo teammates.
It was hard to solve the box because he could teleport right away before completing it and Survivors didn't want to go for the box to avoid being chased.
I dislike him less now.
0 -
Because he has a secondary objective that Survivors need to focus on instead of holding M1 for 80 seconds on 5 separate gens
12 -
He hasnt been nerfed hard enough.
3 -
Yes, exactly. He is super unfun to play against as solo because everybody is either going for the box and not doing gens or nobody is going for the box and it’s permanent chain hunt. Either way it’s GG EZ for Pinhead
8 -
Not at all. It's because he hurts solo players the most (solo players suffer the most in this game). They can't coordinate to solve the box like SWF can. This makes him pretty unfun to face.
15 -
The NFT announcement made me quit playing him completely.
I still standby if the NFT's introduce NFT specific content that's exclusive I'll uninstall the game. Alternatively if it's limited in number and only has a chance to drop like the original page of it implied which would encourage gambling like features.

Just 4e’d against an engineers fang in solo queue.
1 -
I've beaten Pinhead in SoloQ matches plenty of times. SoloQ isn't as bad as people make it out to be
1 -
Solo is pretty bad. It's definitely the weakest role in the game and does need some buffs. I never said he couldn't be beat, I'm just saying that's one of the reasons why he's disliked. I'm not saying PH needs more nerfs or is OP. I just think solo needs some love!
8 -
Agreed, SoloQ is the weakest role in the game, no matter how much more agonizing Killer can be
3 -
I've escaped while only using no mither plenty of times. No mither isn't as bad as people think.
7 -
So you're going to make up a point to try and discredit mine? OK I guess
1 -
Not discredit. I'm just saying that something that sometimes can happen, doesn't mean it's alright.
Sure you can win solo q matches, but some people also can win perkless legion matches. Does that mean legion is ok? No.
5 -
So Pinhead was "a wee bit op"? Sure
0 -
Pinhead wasn't op, he was just really frustrating to face in solo q. A lot of the things on the killer side that get nerfed is because of solo q, and the ones that get nerfed on the survivor side is because of swf.
I still think buffing solo and then buffing killers would be the best thing they could do.
3 -
He wasn't op, yet got nerfed into obscurity because SoloQ players didn't want to adapt. Nice
0 -
It's not about adapting, but sure thing.
7 -
It's 100% about adapting. Only thing Pinhead had going for him was the Chain Hunt. Survivors didn't want to adapt and work on the box which is why he got nerfed
4 -
Survivors generally find constant interruptions or spammable delays to be annoying. Chain hunt is a pretty annoying mechanic, especially when Pinhead is chasing the box constantly. Having a chain hunt go off every minute or so is quite resident sleeper. And then you couple that with the reality of solo queue: there's a decent chance everyone or no one is going for the box, so no progress is being made.
8 -
You mean like killers dont want to adapt to flashlights and CoH?
3 -
Flashlights are weak as hell, just look at a wall. Killers are already adapting to CoH, tunneling and camping every game. The problem with CoH is that it killed any amount of pressure the Killer can gain by injuring multiple Survivors
4 -
You say it like killers didnt tunnel and camp before CoH.
6 -
because its somebody else's job to go for the box. I'm not getting off this generator!
x4
0 -
you can still get blinded looking at a wall or pulling somebody out of a locker
0 -
Just putting this here to confirm that you are right, tunneling has increased as a direct response to COH. Even if you had no game data you could measure it just based on the frequency of these topics on the forum.
1 -
You showed up just to try to flame me and you're adding nothing to the conversation at all, like always.
Is this about pinhead or is this about your 2 incher not being able to see me having a discussion with other users without having to show up and try to insult me?
7 -
They didn't do it as much, in my experience
0 -
I feel like I saw an increase with the new MMR, not related to any perk in specific.
0 -
Wrong. I confirmed for him that he was right, because he was beating a dead horse trying to get through to you. I'm sorry that hurt you so much, but that sounds like a personal problem.
0 -
I've never been blinded if I looked at a wall, and you'll rarely, if ever, get blinded while grabbing someone out of a Locker
0 -
I guess it skyrocketed after SBMM was enabled, but that's natural. What's not natural is that a single Perk can and did kill off a whole strategy
1 -
Every Pinhead I see already knows the lament spawn locations. Even if it's the first thing you go for as survivor, he gets to it first due to killer speed. Rinse and repeat for an easy win. Can't do gens, can't heal, can't loop, just pick up the lament when it spawns and it's a guaranteed win. That's why he's the highest kill rate killer. He takes no skill, just knowledge where the lament spawns. Even Spirit who has an incredibly low skill floor has a lower kill rate, and it's because it still requires the player to outplay the survivor. With Pinhead, simply picking up the Lament shuts down all loops and any activity a survivor can perform. Keep doing this and there's literally no chance of not getting a 4k at 5 gens.
1 -
If the vast majority of survivors (players) didn’t want to adapt or play that way then there must be something inherently wrong if that’s driving them away? It’s tedious and adds another objective to the game, in solo q it’s hard enough when you get bundled with unseasoned players.
Proofs in the pudding my man
1 -
Because his chain hunt is super annoying and destroys solo survivors.
6 -
I don't dislike pinhead - I dislike his box.
I play exclusively solo, so hoping someone is closer to the box than I and ending up having to run across the map for it during a hook hunt, then followed up by not even being able to solve the thing due to hook hunts ongoing while my position is given away giving the pinhead plenty of time to come at me - gets real old, real fast.
5 -
Oh wow this is old. Who uses the search function on the forums?
1 -
Me when opening the forums today and seeing my notifications
0 -
No, just pure laziness.
The box adds a second objective, which is good.
SoloQ players lose to Pinhead because they're bad, not because Pinhead is good
0 -
Isn’t he bugged?
I have literally seen people get hit by chains when they try to solve the box. Plus also seen random chains after the box has been solved.
Maybe players don’t like bugged/unintended things.
4 -
Survivors are supposed to get hit by chains while holding the box, that's not a bug.
If they get hit by chains while trying to do the box, it's because they didn't dodge them.
Once again, Survivors not knowing how to deal with a Killer.
As to Survivors getting hit by chains after the box was dealt with, Pinhead's Power is shooting chains
0 -
Solo Q isn't a synonym with bad.
I hope you also think weaker killers just need to adapt. It's not because the survivors are good, it's because they're bad and need to get better.
3 -
Afaik you need to dodge 3 chains and then it gives you a little bit of time to solve it, so if they haven't changed that they keep spawning even if you have the box yea.
The random chains spawning after the box has been solved shouldn't happen though, that i'm 99% sure.
0 -
SoloQ Survivors are usually bad, it's why there are so many complaints about SoloQ being weak.
SoloQ itself isn't weak, the players are
0 -
So I'm gonna guess at thousands of hours I am bad if I play solo Q, but if I suddenly find people to SWF with I become very skillful.
Big brain take indeed.
6 -
I never said SoloQ turns makes people bad, I said most SoloQ Survivors are bad because they don't know how to play.
I don't know where you got this "All SoloQ players are bad" idea
0 -
I got that idea from you, I even replied to that post.
How is playing solo a synonym with "not knowing how to play" exactly? How do SWF players know how to play better?
I think you're confusing skill with tools to be able to perform better. Having means of communication doesn't make someone skillful, which is what solo Q lacks, communication. Communication and skill aren't related at all.
5 -
I find him very annoying to play against. Being janked all over the place by chains and having to hold m1 to remove them just feels irritating for some reason; I cant really explain what it is exactly but it just doesnt feel fun.
That's not to say I think he's particularly strong, or that the survivor experience is paramount to killer gameplay, just noting my own thoughts on the matter
