    No there hasn’t been any update recently.


    i remember a few threads where people had this issue in the Technical Issues section of the forum, maybe you can look there if someone else had this issue and how they resolved it?

    The blanket answer for the entire game is no, but in a sense, yes, changes have been made over time. Some map reworks have changed the maps to make the lighting darker. This is most noticeable on realms like Autohaven and MacMillan.

    As the above says, if it's a blanket issue across the entire game, it might be a bug. Otherwise, it's common for people to use software such as graphics card software filters or ReShade to brighten and change the look of their game, since the game can admittedly be quite dark on certain maps.

    To be clear, they are not officially supported by the game, so should be used at your own risk, but are not bannable either and are widely used in the community.
