Reward people that report cheaters.
It takes a fair bit of time and effort to use your report system.
You could at least award some bp.

"Oh boy! Let me just report everyone 'just in case' they were cheating and get something free for that!"

Omg cheating??? I'm gonna get more bp because I don't have more bp? Wow I hope it comes!?

You have to provide substantial proof that someone was cheating in order for anything to be done. So if they just spam report with no proof then it will do nothing.

Milo, he is suggesting if they go through the whole shebang, hitting the report button, making a report, uploading a video, and getting a confirmed ban. I honestly agree. But I don't think that simply reporting a cheater, even if confirmed as a cheater later should reward you with BP. And honestly I'd take it a step further, reward them with auric cells. Make that reward super juicy. BHVR is going to get money anyway when the cheater buys a new account.

Honestly, I think if it's done right it could work as good encouragment to report and speak up when people are hacking. It's a good idea if it's using a system that works properly and safely so nobody gets caught in the crossfire.

Yes the idea is very smart. It would show that bhvr are taking your time seriously and would also renew faith in the reporting system.

When cheaters rebuy they buy grey market so BHVR is not going to be getting money off their new key purchase typically. Many grey market accounts or keys are acquired during big sales and using regions/currencies that have lower pricing like Kazakhstan or literally free accounts like ones from epic games.
Additionally, a lot of gray market keys are purchased using stolen credit cards, which then results in charge backs, but the keys have already been resold and used. So the developer ends up paying the credit card company charge back fees, and actually LOSING money on a game sale.

"Yes, please pirate my games over buying them on G2A.
In fact, if you are going to buy them on G2A, just message me and I will just send you a key."
Although I agree that if you report a cheater and they are banned you should get a reward.

Alright, that's a perspective that I hadn't thought of. Then yeah give them BP and a charm.

You have to upload video evidence for it to have any effect.
The allowed file size is tiny so you have to go through the video to find the most conclusive part then edit it.
I tried going the youtube route but it took 30 minutes to upload using so much bandwidth I couldn't even play the game during it.

I will get everyone banned for those sweet shards.

"gee BHVR why does it take 9 months to issue a chat ban?"

I've never gotten any feedback that any of my tickets I've submitted have ever been addressed, so I just gave up on submitting tickets. Adding rewards doesn't matter if they don't address tickets.

I have had replies but it's their policy to not tell you the result of any investigation.
I don't know why that is. Perhaps privacy gone mad.

Doesn't need to be a reward, something as simple as a "Hey, someone you reported got banned. Keep up the good work" would be wonderful.
People do get banned, both for cheating and if they go thermonuclear in post-game chat or whatever. Actually informing people when someone gets banned might restore a lot of trust in the value of reporting

I'd be fine if they even responded saying "we reviewed this ticket and it is now closed" even if they can't actually say what, if anything, they did.
