Why can killer see players/names in lobby?
I went against a Nurse and was the only one to escape through hatch.
Next match, it was the same Nurse (found out after), and instead of hooking, they slugged until they found me. They chased me non-stop for 2 laps around Eyrie, never relenting, just o harass me for escaping the match prior.
30 minute disconnect penalty because I get matched against the same killer twice in a row and the killer can pick and choose who to harass

30 minute disconnect penalty
then you were DCing more than just the once or twice

If the killer gets to know that they are facing a previous opponent again, give the survivor the same courtesy. Give survivors a prompt telling them.

No. It's 4v1.

In the lobby, for killer, hide survivor names and replace the survivors with silhouettes of their chosen character. The killer can still see which survivors and items they bring, but cannot tell exactly who it is by name or cosmetics.

Tell that to the salty killer who just 1v1'd me

The ability for the killer to see what they are up against is INTENTIONAL. It allows for strategy and planning, which killers NEED.
Stop asking for your already unbelievably easy survivor matches to be even easier.

That's beside the point.

Sounds like a one-sided story, honestly. I'd like to hear their POV.

Not only that we can no longer change killers during lobby.
They really should change that. Sometimes you log on with a low tier killer and bam bully squad, I don't mind vsing SWF, but would like to be able to change killers to something more powerful if need to.

No, your complaint was "30 minutues penalty for vsing same killer twice"
No, you got a 30 minute penalty because you DCed 6 times against 4-5 other killers.

In the lobby, for killer, hide survivor names and replace the survivors with generic silhouettes of their chosen character instead items included.
This way, the killer can still see which survivors and items they are facing, but cannot tell exactly who it is by name or by their cosmetics.

Just change your name, or stop torturing killers.

Agreed this should’ve been added a long time ago. Names serve no purpose other than to be toxic from my experience

You started a thread about this at 7:51 am
now another at 8:03 am
A little upset this morning are we? Maybe don't be so toxic in game and killer won't remember your name?I never remember anyone unless they are overly annoying or toxic.

You made one thread about this already. Everyone disagreed. So your plan is to make another one and hope the outcome changes? K

Idk who "everyone" is and i missed the last thread but this is actually a good idea and one that I've been in support of for years.
Killers should not have information on who the player is before the match, only what survivor is being played, what they're wearing, and what item they're bringing in.
If you wish to argue that killers should have this info to avoid cheaters, then it's logical to come to the conclusion that survivors should be given the killer's name for the same reason.
1 -
What if they're a cheater? What if you know it's a bully squad? I think you should be able to see the survivors names however I think the survivors should be able to see the killers name as well.

Fun fact which i don't know if its been patched or not. On ps4 if you check your current game (who your playin with) you'll see the names of all the people in the lobby. Including the killer. It's how a farming survivor messaged me during a anniversary. Confused the hell out of me.
1 -
Incorrect. Killer having this information is intentional. It's meant to allow them to plan a strategy. If they go against the same group twice, there's no reason the killer shouldn't have the chance to create a different strategy, or dodge. I don't care about cheaters.
3 -
I play on Steam so that sadly doesn't help me.
According to who? Where are you getting this info from that the Devs intentionally want killers to know who they've played against before so they can change their playstyle? Because without a quoted source from a Dev, you're literally blowing smoke our your you know what. Show me a quote.
And again, I would still go with the fact that it's logical and fair that if killers are able to adapt to the PLAYER (not any in game factors) then the survivors should be able to do so as well.

Back when the game came out, survivors had this info. They abused it. Now they don't. Devs literally said, back in 2016, killers have this info as a means to prepare and create a strategy. All you've confirmed here is you're newer to the game.
Kindly sit down, and stop engaging in a debate you're not knowledgeable enough to speak on.

I've been playing this game since the release of Freddy. What date that was, i have no idea because I don't care enough to keep track.
I don't watch Dev streams or pay much attention to the behind-the-scenes aspects of the games which is why I asked you to provide a quote of when such a statement was made. You can kindly sit down and get off your arrogant high horse assuming you're all knowledgeable and assuming I'm new.

I think they said that in a video. As for when ... it was a long time ago ... 2019 or maybe even before? It's not the first time this question has been asked.
The easiest way would be to ask directly to the team.

I've said it before, in lobby and in match survivors should be shown as survivors 1-4. Give everyone a DBD ID and show that in the end game screen with which survivor it belonged to for reporting when necessary.
This will stop players lobby dodging when they see survivors names and it will stop killers ability to target a player from a previous match or know their load out. Survivors are not shown killers name because if killer mains a certain killer survivors will know what to run to counter that killer or would dodge lobby if they didn't like that killer, the same should apply to killer. If after match 1 killer finds out survivor doesn't run DS in their build they can easily tunnel out that survivor in match 2 because they know they don't have to worry about it. Since SBMM started having multiple matches in a row v same players happens more often so this is no longer some rare occurrence.
Giving everyone a DBD ID will make reporting across platforms easier since it will remove the confusion of "how do I report steam player without steam ID."
Removing the gamertags will also help stop players going into other players profiles after a match to send toxic messages because they are a sore winner/loser.

I agree but i think it would be best to either hide everyones name or to show the killer's, Hiding survivors with silhouette is unnecessary.

I dont think it matters and that people loom into this sort of thing way to much. If they remove it then whatever. It's only going to change that 1 game out of 100.
Plus if it is removed you don't get to see the stupid names some people have.
0 -
It's not arrogance if I'm right.
Sit.
0 -
That’s a fair point but wouldn’t hackers routinely change their name to avoid this? Also in that case seeing killer names would be nice as well
1 -
Yeah that’s fair but shouldn’t survivors have this info too then? Especially with the bot situation it would be good to know so we can avoid the obvious cheaters
1 -
1. No, the survivors had the ability once, ended up leading to abuse, so it was removed. Not likely to come back.
2. Honestly I kind of doubt that the sole reason you were targeted by the nurse was escaping through hatch. not only do I have personal experience facing the same killer repeatedly, I also know from playing killer that I don't remember the player names unless they were especially toxic. Add to that
3. 30 min DC penalty. So this wasn't the first time you dcee in a short space of time, which is indicative of a toxic mindset.
