Why are twins players always camping, tunneling, or slugging really hardcore.

I'm not exaggerating, every single twins I've versed has tunneled, or camped, or slugged 3+ people. I'm not super mad or anything, but it seems literally every single one I've gone against has done one of these things, none of them have spread pressure equaly at any point of versing them in my experience.

Twins pressure is in the injured / downed survivors imho, and not on the generators.

But I can't confirm or deny anyone's specific game style.

Whatever is easiest and most effective is usually the route most taken.

    Their power incentives doing so.

If you down a survivor with Victor it takes longer to switch back, walk to the downed survivor, pick them up, and hook them compared to using Victor to inflict more damage.

Since you can only control either Victor or Charlotte at any given time, having one near a hooked survivor so you can switch when a save is made just makes sense. Having the dormant Victor or Charlotte sit near nothing is just wasting the pressure you could gain.

Not a lot of people play twins so the ones that are currently only playing them for the challenges are probably desperate to get the challenges over with.

Yep, played against Twins and they did exactly that. Was a 4k.

I mean its physically the only way they can get kills especially thanks to SBMM, it's how their power is designed.

Twins has to slug. Or get stomped on.

There are some massive oversights over at bhvr. Ppl quitting your game? Alright lets make the least played and most hated killer the subject of the tome.

Major balance issues that need resolving? Alright heres more content so the game stays in a perpetually broken state.

The Twins are my main Killer and I've never had to camp, tunnel, or slug. There were a few times with Victor that I downed a Survivor and immediately attacked another Survivor in the vicinity. The problem is that Charlotte is slow so you have to be careful that a nearby Survivor doesn't heal the downed one while you are walking with Charlotte to pick-up the Survivor and hook. I've gotten destroyed by teams of Survivors who stayed together and healed whenever I downed someone with Victor.

As far as the camping goes, its probably just because they can. They're the only killer that can particularly effectively guard a hook while also applying pressure to generators. And then the tunneling is just because getting one person out of the match ASAP makes things a lot easier.

As others said it's the best way to play twins honestly equip an anti slugging build because you will see more twins cause of challenges

It's kind of hard for Twins not to camp, tunnel, or slug. Because Victor is the main damage dealer and map scouter, people want to switch to him as soon as they're done hooking, which conveniently leaves Charlotte near the hook - and then why wouldn't you come back and pressure the unhook if Victor's not on top of an imminent down? As for slugging, Twins aren't designed to pick people up right after they down them, and pulling a Victor snowball is the natural move; you're going to take a trip to pick up your downs anyway, so you might as well see if you can get more bang for your buck before you do it.

Killers like Trapper or Bubba have a strong camping playstyle but are quite capable of playing other ways should they choose. Same with all the power burst killers and slugging. Twins, you have to intentionally go out of your way and sacrifice pressure to avoid doing either of these things.

If you don't want to play optimally that is fine but that does not change the fact that Twins are inherently meant to be a slug-heavy killer. Also, Charlotte isn't slow, she's a normal 115% killer.

because evertime you dare to down someone with your power you have to wait 5 seconds for victor to recover and 2 seconds for charllette to wake up then spend at least a couple of seconds walking to where you downed them but usually a lot more than that and then 3 seconds to pick them and then a few seconds to walk them to a hook and throw them on it.

This means you basically have 1 of 3 options to win.

    1) slug excessively so you dont waste so much time waking up and walking to where you downed survivors

    2) tunnel as hard as you can so you can get someone out early and win despite the fact that it takes you 15-30 seconds to hook anyone.

    3) use your ability to be in multiple places at once to camp it out while maintaining decent pressure.

I mean a twins shouldnt be able to 3 man slug but I guess people really don't know counterplay to slug twins.

Even if you want to play nice, it just happens naturally.

You cant just swap to Charlotte automatically after a down, so onething leads to another and boom, you have slugged and camped survivors.

Most of the time, my Victor's camp because I'm trying to swap quickly. It's just unfortunate for whoever runs into him

Twins are too slow to -not- slug to some extent. After you get a down as Victor you have to wait ages to switch, wait for Charlotte to wake up and then you've gotta walk over to wherever the down was. Meanwhile the survivors are doing gens or god forbid actually picking up the downed survivor before you can even get there.

That's the best way to play twins unfortunately.

Camping and slugging isn't the sole way to play twins, though I concedeit is effective. Pixel Bush's guide recommends using the twins to keep pressure on at least 2 survivors as much as possible. Ex: is Victor todown one, latch onto/down a second, go and pickup the first, go from there.
