Killers have to win thrice in a chase. Not twice.
1. Injure the survivor
2. They get to a loop and you outplay them there, but it doesn't matter cuz they Dead Hard to the pallet anyways.
3. Then after the chase got extended thanks to Dead Hard, you finally get them.
That's pretty much the norm right? You have to outplay survivors 3 times in order to actually get them, thanks to the "Press E to escape" perk.
(Waiting for some survivor main to comment "just bait it out")

Yes, that's a normal chase

Seems about right. Nemi has to do it 4 times then.

Aye.
Or, if you have a particularly sharp knife, or a chainsaw, just 1.

Or a pink hatchet, or an orbed spikey club, or a bottle with a pinky, or advanced voyeurism....

You forget body blocks and syringes

Its quite fascinating while being completely hilarious, that killer players still have that common misconception, that they "outplayed" a survivor, who used his DH to get to a loop. You didnt. Not even a bit.
8 -
The problem is that most killers don't have a way to outplay survivors DHing at a loop. Yes if they're not gonna reach the pallet but then do with DH, they planned that, but the issue is a killer can't do anything about it.

One of the several reasons why Nurse is the only killer in the game that can afford to have a "12 hooks" playstyle and expect to consistently win.

It's why I dont feel a shred of remorse running noed on nemmy sometimes.
You got 4 health states, i need to recoup my time investment somehows.
Theres physically no time to play nice on these gargantuan maps

The survivor did get outplayed, they get greedy at loops and take stupid risks because they know damn well that if they do screw up, their screw up can get fixed by the single press of a button.

As a survivor who very rarely uses DH (I just don't like playing that perk), I still want to point out that tunneling is extremely common once the killer realizes I don't have the magic "Press E". What drives me to equip DH when my patience is at an end.
Yet another vicious circle, which happens with all meta-perks, unfortunately.

They get greedy at Loops BECAUSE they have Dead Hard. They did NOT get greedy and negated their mistake. They did NOT screw up. A good Survivor with DH does not make a mistake, they do the extra Loop because they know they can get away with it.
8 -
Any killer can outplay a DH if they run the loops in the right way. As long as the survivor isnt in the perfect position to DH into a vault/pallet its a down. And surely it should never be possible to outplay a proper DH use.

And what is the right way exactly? Every survivor loops a bit differently, not every survivor falls for the same mindgame. Without being Captain Foresight, how do you know what will and won't work?
There's no "correct" way for killers to loop. You're just showing how little you understand this game.

"As long as the survivor isn't in the perfect position to DH into a vault/pallet"
Killers often do not have a way to prevent this from being the case if the survivor knows how to use DH correctly.
Survivors go for extra loops knowing they have a get out of jail free card if they mess up or if the killer correctly decides not to respect a pallet after they went for an extra loop or whatever. DH rewards playing greedy with no risk involved as long as you don't DH into a wall or something.

Unless you're Bubba. Then you only need to chase them once.
1 -
Its not greedy if you calculate it for your chases.
2 -
Even if they didn't get greedy, survivors get mindgamed a lot in loops, mind games that they were'nt ready for. And all they have to do is press E at the right moment to negate the killer's mindgame. Lets not pretend DH is not the best second chance perk for survivors.

Don't forget, the survs that pop up like jack-in-the-box, ready to blind you even when you're back is turned to them (still don't know how that's possible) or the Seal Team Sabo Squad that tank hits to deny you the hook, thus undoing all the work you just put in.

DH is strong for this - as it is a virtual health state.
IMO is should cause a survivor to become broken for a bit and only get it back when they are restored to Healthy.
Make the survivor pay for a health state with a health state.

I mean, if they don't drop the pallet, there's only so much backwards and forward a survivor can do before a killer starts getting bloodlust and "outplaying" the survivor with their extra speed.
2 -
So pushing them to the bad side of a loop before breaking it and them still making the next pallet because of E for distance was fully planned and not just crutching hard core on a poorly designed perk.
Huh.. the things you learn.

Yeah, that sounds like normal killer games.
Fortunately Dead Hard is on the devs' radar, much like facecamping.

Yall are seriously the biggest whiners ive seen and i thought Mortal kombat 11 was a game full of crybabies yet i see a new post almost everyday on dbd forums about how killers are so disadvantaged and how tunneling is so bad and makes the game boring etc.
ITS A GAME FOR GODS SAKE!

What r u talking about ? U just need to bait survivor to use dead hard and make mistake. I m playing killer, i dont have problems survivors using Dead Hard. I have problems with swf teams. I dont care about solo survivors using strong perks....

My internet must be acting up again, because I'm waiting for your point to load and it is not coming up....

Yes...it's a game.
This is a forum to give feedback about said game.
What's your problem?

Yeah I’m a killer player and I think Dead Hard is probably the best survivor perk in the game and even I never say that. Using Dead Hard for distance is just part of the plan of the person running it typically. It’s like if I ran Coup De Grace to get extra distance on a lunge I’d otherwise have missed, or get a hit because I had a speed boost from Play With Your Food, if a survivor complained to me that “they outplayed me and that perk is the only reason I got the hit” I’d consider them a bad loser.
Make no mistake, I think Dead Hard needs a nerf because it looks like it’s statistically too strong, but if someone uses it to get to a loop you probably didn’t “outplay them”.

the ore i can make you chase me, the better. WEather i dead hard, lithe or balaced landing for a split second enough to make you wanna keep chasing me, i still win. Any time you spend away from gens is a win, and even if im down, you still spent x amouint of time chasing me to completion, even after stunning or looping you.
just get gud

and if you're still unlucky...Power struggle, Flashlights save, bodyblocking etc etc etc... 😅
