Gen rushing an how its not a problem
Gen rushing the art of complete all gens the moment you start the game an escaping.
This is how complete your objectives and leave. This is not fun it's a waste of time for both parties BEHaviour needs to lol needs to make No one escapes death and Rancor base kit to combat these injustices.

Gen rushing isn’t even real almost ever.

I mean... there are far more actual videos on this. Since this video is almost 6 years old.

i thought 5min was quick heres 2min14seconds

This is how BNP used to work.
Luckily, this is a thing of the past.

Will never understand how old BNPs, Moris, or instaheals were a thing

Ok, nice bait

Speaking from the survivor perspective (i also play killer) i have to honestly say that i would be grateful if we had more stuff to do.
When the killer is chasing a teammate. What should we do apart from gens? We hardly have any objectives.
I would find it much more interesting if, for example, you had to find cables and oil in order to be able to start repairing the generators at all. Perhaps the cables, oil and so on could be locked away behind small puzzles that first have to be solved. Of course you would have to balance that so that the killer doesn't get a easy 4K while the survivors still try to solve the puzzles.
Whatever...gen-rushing isn't fun and I wouldn't mind more, fresh objectives.
2 -
Um... question, how long did this last before they actually did something about it, and what was the text for BNP? Like "if a gen is completed within 2 seconds of you being on one, complete it" I'm a bit confused from the video
1 -
It was like this for over a year since release. Instant repair upon use. If 4 survivors brought 4 BNP and a offering to spawn together. Then they could repair the first gen in coop and the others were just a matter of seconds.
Once they announced the nerf, everyone wanted to use their BNP.

The term "gen rushing" is the funniest thing ever to me. Like sorry were we not supposed to do our objective as fast as possible?
It is always a problem of the killer just not pressuring enough. If it takes you forever to down people then of course survivors are going to sit on gens, what else are they going to do? Sit around and twiddle their thumbs? Sorry killer, we should have just sat around and waited for you to down us or pressure our gens.
Every time a killer accuses me of "gen rushing" I just say they were "hook rushing". Sorry killers you can't hook rush us anymore. So dumb.
1 -
Ngl it's pretty funny that a problem in the game is that one side has the ability to do their objective so fast that it is not fun for either side.

Agreed, if they make ds, bt,dh and COH basekit also

NOED should be BUFFED. Once No one escapes death activates, it should work like pentimento 5 stacks. All totems are blocked off so that survivors cannot cleanse the NOED hex. This would require survivors to cleanse/boon all the totems on the map before they complete gens or risk permanent NOED.
2 -
"Gen rushing" is precisely as real as "tunneling" and "camping".
What? The killer isn't supposed to complete their objective as quickly as possible?
Yet killers are (for some reason) expected to "play fair" and not go after the injured survivor who was just unhooked.
The survivor equivalent would be repairing a gen to 50% then leaving it to find another one.

Killers are very much allowed to play the gamer however they want to. Tunneling/camping is very different from gen rushing tho because there is only 1 thing the survivors can do which is work on generators. The killer has a choice to sit in front of the hook, tunnel the person off hook, or just leave and find other people or pressure generators.
Again not saying that killers aren't allowed to do those things it's just very different from gen rushing because they actively decide to camp and tunnel unlike survivors just playing the game normally.

That's not true.
You can do totems, you can rescue or heal other survivors.
The killers only objective is to kill all of the survivors before the gens are repaired. Tunneling is a quick and efficient way of doing that.
4 -
So killers have problems with survivors not rescuing their teammates? That sounds like an awesome thing if that happened to me, my games would become a 3v1 very fast. Also doing dull totems is useless and accomplishes absolutely nothing so a survivor stopping gens and doing dull totems is not really a choice. Totems aren't even an objective when cleansing them has no effect.

Doing gens fast is fine, it's thr survivors objective.

Yeah, but you also need a game, and you can't have a game if the trial is done in 2 minutes
2 -
Nurse can kill everyone in 2 minutes
1 -
True: I've done it several times. But it requires a major "Everyone stays close to the killer while exposed" level of f-up. It's not exactly representative of anything relevant.
Against decent survivors, bar some major stroke of luck, it takes way more than 5 minutes to kill everybody. This is without taking into account the 3k, 2k, 1k and 0k (because : yes, it happens too)

I can't tell if you're being serious or not, NOED's problem is not how strong it is. It rewards killers for being bad/trolling. Same thing with DH and COH. They need to rework NOED where the killer has to work for it to work, Though they should consider making it a non-hex perk.

Gen rushing is absolutely a thing. Without Lethal Persuer it's nigh a certainty 3-4 gens will be done within the first chase if it takes 47 second for two people to finish one gen. If a chase goes on with God loops, DH etc, all gens can be done before your first hook within 2 mins of starting the map. That's not fun for anyone. Killers call you gen rushers, toxic survivors call killer whiners. This whole problem with the fan base won't change.
3 -
Gen rushing isn't the survivors fault. It's also not the maps.
It's the dramatic difference between the different killers' capacity to pressure the generators. Many of the more traditional chase and hit killers haven't aged well and this will remain a problem until all killers can be used with reasonable expectation to win a match.
2 -
I think there is one scenario which I would call “gen rushing”, namely when survivors intentionally just ignore dying and hooked survivors in favor of finishing gens at all costs. Sacrificing someone to finish a gen probably qualifies in my book as a “gen rush”.
But otherwise, yeah, a lot of people who complain about “gen rush” are essentially upset the survivors are actually playing efficiently.

I don't know why you had to get a slow-as-hell match from years ago to prove your point.
I've played many games with Prove Thyself + Streetwise + Commodious + BNP gen rush chain gangs, they have all the generators finished in less than 160 seconds.
Gen rushing is totally a thing, but it's also a difficult thing to quantify. Are survivors rushing gens... or is it their primary objective?
Gen rushing is when either:
1.) Escaping becomes a secondary priority to completing generators (Mostly a noob problem, but it's still an issue in solo Q)
2.) A great many assets have been taken by survivors and used in concert to cut through gens at blistering speed.
You see a team ignore a hooked friend or place themselves into extreme and unreasonable danger to finish generators - they're rushing.
You see an entire 4 stack bully squad take Prove Thyself, Fast Track, Resilience, and Built To Last ... all taking Toolboxes with Wire-Spool and Brand New Part.
They don't care about winning chases, rescuing teammates, or making flashy plays. They'll pre drop pallets and play safe, because with builds like these, survivors can be opening the exit gates before the killer gets their second down - they're rushing.

Biased as #########,if doing the survivors objective takes no skill (holding m1 for 80 secs) then its fair to say killing should also take no skill (camping/tunneling).
2 -
True gen rushing is when you have an SWF all run BNPs, Prove Thyself and/or Resilience while breaking up to do gens. Killers don't see it too often. Just saying.
