Meme add-on review and reworks | The Trapper - Padded Jaws
Introduction
Survivors escaping while not paying attention without an injury isn't good in any way and only hinders an already weak Killer for some pathetic bloodpoints that don't mean anything, since they're still capped at 8000. I think it could do better than that, so I made it do something completely different with some actuall positives.
Padded Jaws [The Trapper]
- Renamed to Faulty Jaws.
- Survivors cannot escape from a Bear Trap until their second attempt, where they have 100% chance of success.
- For as long as the Survivor remains trapped, you see the Auras of all other Survivors and your movement speed is increased by 20%.
- Grants 100% more Bloodpoints for trapping Survivors, these Bloodpoints are awarded post-trial.
Summary
This change aims to make the add-on more useful even when you're too far away from the Survivor that just got caught.
It gives you some wall hacks for the times you're not in a chase so you can get into one easier. It also increases your movement speed quite drastically for the times you're actually in a chase so you can catch the Survivor you're chasing easier.
However the Survivor that just got caught is probably safe since they free themselves quite quickly from the Bear Trap they got caught in if you're far away.
I also changed how the bloodpoints are granted, now you can actually get more bloodpoints instead of just reaching the cap faster.
What do you think about this change? I'm planning to do more for other Killers aswell in the future, even for Killers that don't have any meme add-ons yet.

I think this would take the 'meme' addon and blow it into the stratosphere as the most useful addon by far.
It could use a bit of a different take, but I love the creativity! Looking forward to your other ideas!

I gotta say, that is a really creative spin on probably the most underused killer add-on. The current meme/point trade off add-ons are a nice idea but really fall short on a lot of killers. I think Clowns is the only one that doesn't hinder his power the usual way the other ones do.
Gotta ask, why did you go with a 20% movement speed increase?

Thank you!
I thought 10% would be too little, then I thought 15% would be alright, but after a while that was too little aswell, since the Survivors can stay in the Trap for 3 seconds by default if the play normally and try to instantly untrap themselves, so 20% sounded just alright for a 3 second duration.

What about the combination of Faulty Jaws with Wax Brick or Fastening Tool (if I'm right that those two are the "increases time taken to escape a trap by X%?) Or the combo of the Faulty Jaws with Honing Stone? Those would give that 20% speed a dangerous amount of value since you're in it for longer. And with Honing Stone you either hinder your team by waiting to be rescued giving Trapper impossibley hard to outrun speed in loops, or hinder your team by going down and having to get picked up anyway. It'd be like the counterplay to Tombstone Myers "Grab and hook me or down/slug me just so I don't insta die." He still gets insane value out of the add-on even if they aren't the exact outcome hoped for when using them.
