Easy way to create new map.
Since Huntress & Plague share Red forest realm, Nurse & Clown share Crotus...
I think there should be a new map in the future for Eyrie realm, Ormond realm...because the obstacle, wall, shack.ect are already created, the only thing left to work on is the main building.
Im excited to hear that Garden of joy will be the main realm for the future maps & story. Though I hope it will not be a realm with 5 maps like Badham, Macmillan, Auto heaven... I hope each realm will have equal number of maps.

Disagree, we have enough maps so i dont think we are in that dire need for new content. I think we would all rather like to see more qualitive content first before expanding the roster even more. Theres no need to have 5 more maps at once, if one of them ends up to feels good to play for both sides, especially if we talk about ormond and eyrie. If they want to work with already existing content then they should redesign the many maps with issues and rearrange them to increase the player experience there before getting ambitioned in this direction.

I didnt say we need 5 maps per chapter. I said they could create a new map from old realm, which will take much less time to do so. Instead of 1 new realm for every new map.
Ormond Dead dawg, Hawkin, Midwich, Racoon, Eyrie, Garden of joy, all these realms have 1 map. Minus license maps, the other realms need more maps, which they can release later with later killers (as they mentioned they would do multiple maps for Garden of joy)

I do agree that realms with less then 3 maps could be expanded, and while i think they are aware of this option we should expect for the new chapters more maps on the withered isle realm. I dont think if thats the plan, that they will go out of their way to create a map for an older realm unless they drop more then one map per chapter, which im against, rather then another map i would like to see these work hours going into reworking old maps currently.

We actually need more maps that are different. Garden of Joy is just another "Main Building + X" map. This is nothing new. The map is in my view one of the worst choices to add visually. There would have been much more choices to pick from than the same old story. Having different form of the same map also isnt really appealing at all. I couldnt care less of another ormond map or whatever existing map.

There are may original realms with a single map (Saloon, Ormond, Eyrie). While also many Killers without their own map (Twin, Trickster and especially Blight). They could simply make a main building, put in one of those realm. Thats it.
I dont like a realm with 5 maps either, but 1 realm 1 map is quite a waste.

Nobody needs even more variants of the same map. Springwood is already the proof for this as a bad idea.

Hmm regarding map design i would even welcome maps which dont feature a human main building but is more designed like a natural areal maybe - while still keeping the same gameplay elements worked in. Do we even have any map without a building on it. Most maps just have the main building slapped in the middle and the shack on one corner with the usual tiles filling the rest of the map. I think different more natural structers on a map where the basement is worked in a more creative way into could be a pretty nice change for once, maybe they could even thematically change generators, windows, pallets visually for the map while technically working the same.
Another interesting point i would like to see in maps would be more gameplay elements to interact with, maybe for chase or to hide. This would also help to make the gameplay less stale but something like that is lightyears away.

Though SW is different from original 3, which has different main buildings. Spring wood has a main building, 2 houses and a shack. 5 maps are just re-layout, I dont like that either
In short, I just want an extra map for Ormond, Eyrie, Saloon. When 3 Killers lack of their own map which perfectly fit. Just like Nurse/Clown on Crotus, Huntress/Plag on Red forest

Map without main buildings are from original 3: Shelter wood, Rotten field, Wrecked yard.
All of them are bad. They're like a reskin of shack, gym, loops obstacles (which is understandable because we needed more map in the early years)

Yea im sure meanwhile they could do better, shelter woods and their likes are devoid of any creativity which is understandable for the time when they came out. Looking at Gyms for example it doesnt really matter if your on mcmillan, red forest, crotus prenn, yamaoka or ormond. Theres very little individualisation in my opinion. They look generic and if you fill the map only with non characteristic stuff, its obvious that the only attraction point on these maps are the mainbuilding and the few individualized loops because they play a bit different. I think dbd in 2022 is advanced and ambitious enough to go for more individualized structures on their maps and please a full outdoor map.
