Triage is a horribly implemented achievement

Member Posts: 2,209

I have been going out of my way to get my duo partner to run to me after being hit, and healing them, over and over - and it gives me credit maybe a fraction of the time. Can it please be looked into so I don't spend as much time on this as I did on that other crappy achievement: Taking one for the Team.

Thanks.

Yeah, I noticed I was slow to gain progress on it as well. I wasn't able to discern what was or wasn't causing it to trigger, but I got the impression that if someone ran 30m to me and I moved 3m to intercept them, it wasn't getting counted.

I literally just got this the other day without knowing it was a thing.

You must play survivor a lot more than me. I've done this achievement condition at least 50 times and have only got credit 7 times. If the healing prompt doesn't come up and I have to move a millimeter it doesn't award it. It's absurd.

Edit: Another issue is that half the achievements update late so you don't know if you did it correctly or on which one until you're out of game.

I’m a killer main actually and just occasionally play survivor with one or two others in the evenings.

But it still didn’t happen until I had over 1.2k hours in the game altogether :)

Achievements are known to be really wacky and not give progress sometimes. It's very easy to get if you just play normally so there's probably some bug on your end.

Honestly, I haven't been going strictly after it. I noticed when I tried that, it was just aggravating and annoying. So I've been focusing on other achievements and challenges and I'll get it eventually. Apparently I only need to do what it says 4 more times.

Yeah, this achievement has really weird conditions that don't feel consistent at times. I wouldn't stress over it too much because you'll get it eventually just by playing. I've learned running Blood Pact in solo que can help this achievement if your duo partner isn't available.

I mean, just play the game and you will get it eventually. It is one of those Achievements, not one where you really should play actively to get it.

    The conditions to get progress:

    - another Survivor must become injured while more than 16m away from you

    - you must heal them while not moving more than 16m away from where you were when they got injured

I don't know how Deep Wound (from Borrowed Time for example) affects this.

As far as I could tell being unhooked counts as being injured, if someone is unhooked then the position of the hook is the spot where they were injured. If they move from the hook to you and the hook was far enough away and you didn't move too much yourself it should count when you heal them. I am not 100% sure about this though and I don't know if this is by design if it works like that.

At least you have a friend to help. I had to do this one solo. 😭
