I'm hoping that all of the changes are for the better. This game really needs some work at the moment.

DBD has a lot of potential. If the game appeals to enough people I think it can have a good future. Time will tell.

I'm hopeful but remain unhyped till they actually give us some concrete info on ''Base Game Changes''.

For some reason though, i think they wont have the balls to do it right.

This is year 6... We should have been in the "future" already.

After 5 years of unbalance, bugs and so on then:

It's honestly hard to get excited over things for dbd given the previous years, especially the years since covid.

Between the buggy chapters, lackluster balance changes (note: this doesn't mean the devs didn't do any good changes just overall), and old promises like the early game system confirmed to be canned don't help to put much hope the devs will suddenly get the upcoming balance change right.

Also cautiously optimistic. I'm glad they acknowledged previously promising and not delivering things during these streams and put out some rough timeframes.

It’s hard to get excited when I’m still hurting from the Road to 60fps from the Roadmap that never came after years of silence about it.

Console performance is in a progressively worse state every update and honestly none of the great sounding stuff matters until the game is optimised to run to a reasonable standard.

Judging from the past I have no reason to believe that this time will be any different; and that talk of addressing the performance are just empty words to keep me on the hook spending money until I get told it was impossible to achieve and I should just upgrade.

My money is on cross progression being announced in place of fixing the performance and there supposed to be a fanfare about that. Cross progression would be great but it still isn’t good enough after keeping players hanging on with talk of performance and optimisation fixes for years that never come.

I'm pretty excited! I'm really looking forward to seeing that 40+ perk change they talked about for this summer - it's likely to rock the game's foundation, for better or worse.

Just need to hope people can play for a week and get used to new stuff before saying things need nerfs and buffs

Their balance patch has also kill their game.

Do you really believe they are able to balance it for both sides?

    Wary.

    Carefully hopeful.

Excited? No. If they f-up that one, it may be game over.

I mean there are two factors which could give a bit hope, dbd is currently hiring some new people in the section of gameplay balance and secondly the reducing playernumbers and the inability to keep players attracted after the hype seem to have a big enough impact for them to announce and focus on changes.

Means for me they care and plan with the longevity of the game for several years to come and enough to invest money in some health changes in its current state. For any other game this wouldve been good enough but even after reworks and fixing specific issues they keep repeating the same mistakes and are unable to learn and progress in this section. So yes the coming changes are exciting but the impact of these changes are questionable and therefore hopes and doubts are high.
