I'm on ps4 and every time I try logging in so far I get this, ive restarted my game and console so I have no idea what to do please someone help 😭

I'm having same issue on ps4. Also the intro cut scene is the default cut scene with Trapper, not the new one for the chapter.

I've seen several others mention same issue on ps4 in fog whisperer stream chat so atleast we aren't the only ones.

Same issue and cutscene here too. Also on PS4. Multiple restarts on game and console haven't done anything either. Glad to know I'm not the only one though

I'm having this issue too. Running the game on PS4 Pro. Everything is updated, but the game shows the old cut scene and gives an Initialization Error.

Thanks Mandy. The DBD cover on my system changed to the new cover art from the old art. Not sure if that helps at all.

This issue is happening on both Playstation and Xbox per several people on Dowsey twitch stream. I'm on Xbox and haven't downloaded yet but I asked if it's happening on Xbox and other's have said yes.

So I downloaded the latest patch, and now I can’t log in… I restarted my game. It still keeps saying initialization error.
Normally when I reset the game this goes away. So what’s happening here? How can I resolve the issue?

They just tweeted "We’ve received reports from Playstation players who are experiencing issues getting into the game. We have a fix incoming as we speak.

I just wanted to check out the new update with my friend but apparently I can't due to a Game Version Mismatch.
I'm on PS4, and people on twitter are reporting similar issues. I can't join my friend's lobby, and he can't join mine. He's on PS5.
@MandyTalk I know you guys are working on a fix for the initialisation problem, but I don't know if this has been brought to the team's attention yet.

I'm on PS4 and after the update finished installing, I repeatedly tried logging into the game. I keep getting the error message, "Initialization Error." Why is it that each update seems to cause even more problems than before?

I'm so glad to have spent money on the new chapter only to find out I can't play at all. Great job as always.
Anyways, I tried both with and without crossplay, each time getting the timeout error.
