Survivors Crouching Underneath Hook Exploit

This game is not real life...but would somebody crouching underneath a hook keep a killer from putting them on it? Of course not, so why is it still being allowed? The publishers could care less...they just want our money.

I saw how you necrobumped that other topic and then went and made this one. Do you have any... examples of hook exploit returning?

Or do you think someone crouching under hook while carrying a survivor (but still being perfectly hittable) is an exploit? You're supposed to look down if you want to hit them.

They are most definitely talking about carrying a survivor and being blocked at the hook, the hook tech hasn't returned and has been dead for years. If it returned surely everyone would be up in arms in the forums wouldn't they, because there would be a million videos showcasing the return of the hook tech and somehow compilations already of it being abused lol.

Oh yeah? Thanks captain obvious. Looking down and hitting isn't a problem...if they move. Survivors don't always go down in two hits...those people stand still. It gives an unfair advantage...especially when the entire team is the same. Hence...it's an exploit that should not exist. While trying to hit someone who will not move multiple times...with others to also possibly replace them...do you really think that creates a fair atmosphere? Idrgaf what you think at all...but I've made my point.

Thanks for the advice but would have to purchase The Legion to do that thought right? Definitely don't have that perk. Either way, the capacity to keep killers from hooking survivors, creating the need to figure out how to work around that issue with teams that take advantage of that exploit is ridiculous. You may feel differently...but it feels like a slap in the face from the publishers to allow this simple issue to exist.

Just in case you didn't know, when you hit a survivor you lose collision for a bit so after the first hit you can hook them, you don't need to hit the crouching person twice.

I'll try it...but all previous experience has shown the hook option doesn't appear unless they move out of the way. Leaving me no choice but to hit them...wait for that pause...and if they still don't move by then the survivor I'm carrying has already escaped. Most teams aren't good enough to do this extremely effectively (mostly just annoying)...but every once in a while it just becomes a waste of time playing against some players using this exploit repeatedly cuz they won't go down after two hits. I'll see how it goes tho.

    1. Hit any survivors that is under hook

    2. You now have no collision and can phase through survivors

    3. Stand in the exact spot which you can get the prompt to hook

    4. Balance your movement very careful to stay in that exact spot as still as possible

    5. Boom, you hooked a survivor and one of them lost a health state. If there's multiple survivors then they essentially wasted time by not doing gens.

For a second, I thought there was a new bug that allowed a survivor to stay inside the hooked survivor and not get damaged due to the hook. Nothing but a killer that got mad over a respectable team effort.

Nah its a fair tactic. You can just hit them and they lose their solid hitbox and then you can just hook even if they're still crouching there, if there is multiple people it's unfortunate for you but it just means its a decent team with good cooperation. I rarely run into survivors crouching under hooks being a problem, I just hit then hook and it's no problem.
