Survivors have to lose Aura Reading on The Dredge's Nightfall
I mean its dumb and absolutely nonsensical Auras stay up on nightfall. Its supposed to be a timed blindness event effect for Survs yet auras still up and can make a huge difference, extreme case scenario Window of opportunity completely negates the intended purpose of it.

No thanks, aura reading perks not working would only nerf solo q and SWF would stay the same. Why do you want to nerf solo q? this game isnt scary no matter how much you wish it would be, unless you're playing your first 2 hours.

Or maybe if Auras are no go, then instead make all items unavailable to use during Nightime... No toolbox, no meds, no flashlight... That would be interesting

So the problem is not the Killer but the survivor systems? Also its not forever, its a minute youll be fine. And missed hits and screams tells you plenty of info about the killer in Nightfall. I wasn't talking or wish the game to be <<scary claustrophobic "lost in the dark">> as to scream out of terror, I was talking about the inmersion of the concept the designers intended for the Killer and is that one.

No. I think Nightfall is pretty dark and scary allready. Lets not turn this killer from "Fun to VS" to "Annoying to VS". I don't want to see another rise of "Nerf B tier killer pls". Thanks.

How would limiting Aura readings for 1 minute every now and then would make it annoying. Is it really that hard of a crutch Aura reading? Like I don't see how 1 minute of more tense encounters will make the killer "Annoying" rather than more fun.

The players who use Aura Reading-Perks the most are SoloQ-Players. Bond, Kindred, Windows of Opportunity are all Perks which are not really used by SWFs. Especially the first two.
Adding Killer Abilities which make it harder/annoying for Solos to play but affect SWFs less is not really a good thing.

Remove SWF, THEN remove aura reading perks in nightfall . Problem solved :)

So you mean that they need the blindness status effect? I agree with this, and Windows of Opportunity negates completely the Nightfall ability from the Dredge. One change I would suggest it to make it in a way that you will still see auras with Windows of Opportunity but at the same range you can see with nightfall (so not too far, just the closest things to you). Other than this I think that the other aura reading perks should work regardless of Nightfall. The killer is already Undetectable so you can't see killer's aura within Nightfall. In my opinion if you bring perks helping you knowing where your teammates are, you should be able to use them. But this is my opnion, let me know yours!

Yes I am a solo Q-er, Yes I know this, but then the problem is not the Killer but the system of Survs, Why then we say "Plz don't change this Killer or will affect Survs" instead of "Plz balance SWF with Solo Q so we could have more interesting interactions with killers".

The blindess status effect is the one that make you lose Aura reading? If it is yes I mean that. And yup that would be cool shortening aura distance would work too, I do believe losing the ability to look your teamates is what would make Nightfall so much inmersive and interesting, or like you say, limiting the Aura reading, like make all Auras just last 3 seconds every 15 secs of nightime, you still get aura reading and get that lost in the dark feeling since your auras are flickering. Or even a Wild card, let the Auras alone, just you can't use items... No Medkits, No flashlight saves... No Toolbox :) that would be interesting.

Blindness status effect exists. Nightfall does something entiry different. It doesn't need to get bloated.

i agree that Nightfall should inflict Blindness. but devs may feel it's overkill, so try to find other ways to inflict Blindness instead, like Hex: Third Seal.

Absolutely no. Just imagine survivors not being able to see hooked survivors during the entire duration of Nightfall. SWF survivors might be fine, but solo survivors would be screwed hard.

Can we please not make him more annoying? Also all that would do is nerf Solo-que players, and they already have it super rough.

I don't really think Windows of Opportunity compares the same as those other perks. Yeah in a SWF it can be easier to figure out where people are getting chased or where people are, but unless you're at a tournament level or something you're probably not going to know where every single pallet was used or where every dead zone is. I use WoO in most of my builds and I exclusively play in a SWF, I almost never play solo queue. So while yes, WoO isn't really meta or anything.. I also don't consider it a solo queue perk. It's just an incredibly useful perk for information in general
I feel like most SWF don't pay attention to details in their communication so much where WoO loses it's benefits. It's very useful regardless of in solo queue or SWF. But in regard to Dredge? I think he's fine and a strong killer as is. Doesn't need the buffs. Who does need buffs now? Onryo because I don't see any reason to choose her anymore in her current states

As someone who uses Windows of Opportunity, I find it to be worse during Nightfall, especially on the new map since I don't know it well enough. Overall, I've literally ran into walls trying to get to a window or pallet and gotten slugged. So it doesn't really make Nightfall any easier.

When did I say I'm not enjoying it? Don't put words in my mouth. I wouldn't still be playing DbD and hanging around this forum if I didn't like the game.
However, I personally think The Dredge is a pretty meh killer that, depending on the map, can be quite annoying to play against. Not to mention, and not to sound mean, but OP's suggestion is a terrible idea.

I mean, there is an addon for the Dredge which allows him to apply a pseudo Third seal and Sloppy Butcher on Survivors in Nightfall. And Auras already don't work on him due to his Undetectable status effect. And to be fair, blindness isn't that strong a debuff, especially against survivors that know what they are doing.
