Any one struggling with The Dredge anti loop ability?

I was hyped for this new chapter and the killer seemed like an S tier killer it might be on the hands of better players but I'm getting gen rushed easily when playing him his locker teleport is slow and depends on the map you're playing and locker spawns so it's not practical always.

Now to the main ability I thought it was cool the anti loop hold but it's not that great since in many loops you can't see where the survivor is and you can mind game yourself easily plus they can disable it if they walk through it. What makes it terrible for me personally is that when ever I teleport to it I get my camera view in another direction where I can't stop the survivor I'm trying to catch so it gives them more distance or more loops, might be because I'm not used to it yet but it's frustrating to use even with killer instinct which helps to continue the chase.

New map garden of joy is causing me a lot of lag constant fps drops and too much fog which makes it difficult to stop survivors and mainly the bad performance that makes chases more difficult and it looks like a mix of Badham and coldwind farm somehow it's meh for me personally and I'm already bored of playing the dredge he isn't that viable tbh.

I do place good remnants but teleporting back confuses me and gives the survivor enough time to vault or get away

And this is why I like this ability. Dredge is not braindead with its anti-loop and you can quickly see if the player has an idea or is just as confused as you are after porting. Good design in my opinion, I hope it stays like this.

Either that or you can try to run into it. I think holding W is a double edge sword. Sure you could escape but then again Dredge could just port to the locker in front of you. If you just hold W while breaking line of sight it gets quit interesting for both sides.

    I enjoy this a lot.

Seems like you fail to zone properly. You shouldnt use the ability the second you reach the loop, you have to use the ability where you idealy want your remnant, you can use your remnant as a bait for an easy hit for example place it abit further away from the loop so if the survivor walks through it which is fine in that case he had to take a wide angle and can not make it to the pallet afterwards.

You also need to watch how and where you place the rement, facing at which side of the map, I see MANY MANY ppl still to this day zoning themselves to the edge of the map and break a pallet like that, you want that survivors are at the outside of the map while you are inside, like this they cannot run back into the map and reach other tiles that quickly.

I find it quiete weird that dredge was put as an "medium difficulty" killer, he is imo hard. There are many mistakes you can do with this killer and it requires alot of planning, muscle memory and timing. Thats why i love my new baby <3

I know that I should do that but in a chase I'm not used to it yet you to plan a lot especially in jungle gyms where you can't see properly

I haven't played him in live (I kinda dont bother with killer anymore, lots of entitlement and toxicity with imbalances)

But my biggest issue is trying to hit a certain locker for the tp, so often I'll slightly miss it and go zooming miles away 😂 I'm great with his shadow revenant though.

Like most things it takes time to adjust and learn new things so I'm sure you'll pick it up and start doing some cool mindgame/nice hits

The antiloop is decent but it has certain counterplays to minimize or even negate it, for example how you enter a loop or being able to tell how much you can commit to it, didnt play against Dredge that much as I dont play much Survivor lately but what Ive seen and experienced I dont dislike it and I dont find it unfair (unlike Artist antiloop).

That being said, lets see how it behaves in a month when people learn to play it much better.

I know the disorienting feeling if you switch the direction you're facing when you teleport, but placing it somewhere that allows the survivor to use a pallet is not ideal unless you've got dissolution of and you're trying to get them to use a pallet.

just leave the loop when he charges easy counter

When you first place the remnant face the direction you plan on coming out of it in. I’ve noticed that L and T tiles are great for it. Also helps if you place it out of immediate sight of it so the survivor doesn’t know it’s there. (Like near walls)

I actually don't mind its anti-loop ability. I just do what I do with the Artist and run to the next loop/window/pallet as soon as I see the slowdown from placing a remnant.

I find I'm struggling far more with the Night power. I'm finding it virtually impossible to loop whilst it's active as the darkness of the map makes it so hard to navigate, and it's a sensory overload with all the noises.

It's a bit confusing on console since I have to use a controller but I'm sure I'll eventually get used to it. Just a lot of buttons to press/hold and I eventually end up teleporting by accident. Definitely a huge learning curve to him.

The default controller setting for Dredge are garbage. I had the same issues last night so I think I will use my elite controller and remap to the finger triggers.

Yeah, I gotta' remap my elite controller as well. I have 2 of the levers not mapped right now and I just haven't thought of it.
