Show the killer in the lobby

Please let the survivors see the killer in the lobby. Assassins have this privilege and can evade a group of friends with a Discord. Why don't survivors have this opportunity? I don't want to play against broken killers like Drage and Nurse! Let those who say that they are in order and balanced play against these unfair and unbalanced killers, it will be fair!

I was about to say this. I know everyone or most people would dodge nurses and bubbas

If the developers refuse to balance the broken killers, then the survivors should have the choice to give up playing against them!

... If lobby-dodging became such an issue ... then... that would kinda say more about an at-the-moment invisible problem that ought to be addressed rather than kept from being made visible.

Personally, I kinda would like to know which killer it is gonna be - mostly because getting the same killer over and over again eventually gets really, really old. Then again; not knowing who it is at the beginning of the match is part of the fun.

Given that there are people who have valid issues with some mechanics some killers come with (heard about doctor's strobe lights quite often now, but also the Dredge nightfall screams being triggers with serious consequences) and 'ez - you know you may encounter it in the game and if you can't deal just don't play the game altogether ¯\_(ツ)_/¯' are not valid arguments in my opinion, I would prefer a blacklist of sorts. You get to blacklist, dunno, maybe three killers that you just won't be matched with. Be that because they are triggering a condition you have or because you can't see them anymore without being so annoyed you may just as well close the game again.

You don’t want that either. It will take forever to start matches because everyone is dodging.

Also it would male certain stealth killers early game that much harder.

Myers can already be a pain, if your first stalking victim sees you and runs away, but if they knew from the start the survivors could deny Myers his Tier 2 for far too long. Same with Ghostface, that opening take down would lose much of its teeth.

Back during the MLGA block list drama years ago, if you played, Billy, Freddy, Bubba etc you were quickly added to the shared block lists and it made the que times even longer so devs had to address it and had drama with the creator of MLGA for allowing players to not play vs killers they did not like.

You can't address the atm invisible problem of sore losers, sadly.

What are those broken killers? Please don´t tell me, you are one of those players that refuse to play against certain killers and afk/suicide against them.

I'd rather play against 10 basement Bubbas in a row than against sweaty Nurses and Drags with 4 deceleration perks. It's fun to play against Bubba and he has a counter game! But if the players don't like Bubba, they should have the choice to abandon the match!

I can't see that ever happening as people would basically killer shop, and everyone would avoid poor Bubba. Queue times would take so much longer too.

Part of horror survival is the unknown.

You’re not meant to know which killer it is that’s part of the fun.

Also your reason for wanting this is so you can just lobby dodge killers you don’t want to face.

A change that basically undermines the horror theme by ruining the surprise of which killer it is and permits endless lobby dodging is a really bad idea.

Everyone that explained logically, why it is a bad idea is right and because so many arguments were already explained I'm gonna add a subjective one: it would kill part of the horror the game has left.

You start with four people, but have no idea what awaits you. Then suddenly, you hear a glimps of something that might be a melody, until the first scream interrups your thoughts and as you rush to your unknown teammate, full of hope to be able to safe him, you see her. The Huntress, ready to tear you apart, singing you to your last sleep.

Ok, I exxagerated a bit, but maybe you get the point. Like @pseudechis said, didn't saw your comment there. :)

I agree, I already even think they should not show survivors to the killer because of the lobby dodging it creates. If survivors could see the killer as well I can only imagine how much more it would happen.

That and the username I would be fine with. Or hiding all usernames until after the match is over.

And let's not forget nor forget. Every killer would be doged. Every killer has someone who doesn't like playing against them. While some would obviously be dodged more than others the bottom line is no killer is safe from the issue

I don't want to know which killer I am going against. It just ruins the surprise factor. And also, cause problems others mentioned.

But we probably know it is another nurse anyway. :D

Hiding usernames would be best imo, seeing the killers name means if you see the guy pop up if he regularly plays a killer you already know who you will be facing.

I agree. I know people that don’t even like demogorgon and they would dodge him. It’s just a bad idea

MMmm. I think its best to leave it the way it is. And some killers rely on stealth and if you immediately know who the killer is and know to really pay attention to your surroundings then that leaves them with a major disadvantage. As well as lobby dodging, like imagine just trying to play trickster or something, but people just dodge and dodge and the killer can never get into a lobby.

Like if I saw trickster or nurse I would dodge too. So it's best just not to show the killer so people aren't constantly leaving, leaving the killer unable to play. Sometimes you just gotta play against a killer you don't like. Though nurse just needs a nerf, but that's a discussion for another time.

I agree, the Nurse needs a Nerf or a complete makeover. A nurse from a long time ago, when there were a lot of unbalanced things in the game, a lot of these things are gone, especially on the survivors' side and I don't understand why a Nurse is still allowed to remain in such a broken state.😒

They won't do this because of people like you, that think killers that are actually strong are "broken" to then just dodge the killers. Potentially trying to only get killers that are weak so you don't have to put nearly as much effort into winning a match.

Though to be fair, it's hard to argue with Nurse, she is rather overpowered, but Dredge not so much.
