about nurse and an idea for her base kit

I know what some of you will say "nurse is fine because she has a high skill ceiling" and that is fine, that I agree with but while her skill ceiling has remained largely unchanged the same cannot be said about her skill floor with all the recent bug fixes, her addon rework and all the new perks it has never been easier to pick up and learn nurse.

I'm a console player and even I have found decent success with her with all the addons and perks to cover for my lack of skill and controller limitations and nurse dose not need addons or perks to succeed if they have the skill and time to dedicate to learning her sadly most nurses these days run 4 slowdown perks with good addons even though they obviously have the skills to not require them.

with the upcoming rework to a lot of meta perks especially killer slowdown perks and survivor second chance perks my suggestion may not be necessary depending on the level of the meta shift but just in case it doesn't do much I will leave my idea here.

they're 3 quality's to a killer.

their ability to find survivors, their map pressure and their chase strength the nurse is a 5/5 in both map pressure and chase but with addons and perks she can easily become 6/5 in both those categories. only her ability to find survivors remains around 2/5 just higher than a slow m1 killer due to her overwhelming mobility, that's why some survivors say stealth is the nurses only weakness and is the reason most good nurses run information perks.

so my suggestion is not to nerf her maximum potential but to make sure that messing up as nurse hurts a bit more than it dose now, good nurses will only slightly feel this change but bad nurses will definitely feel it.

my idea:

currently with nurse as soon as you enter fatigue which lasts 2 seconds at base plus 0.5 seconds per chain blink you begin to recharge your power at 1 blink every 3 seconds. so if the nurse blinks twice she will be able to double blink again within 3.5 seconds of recovering from her fatigue.

my suggestion is to make it so you only recover your blinks at the start of your fatigue if you successfully hit a survivor that way if you use her power for map movement or make a mistake during a chase you have to wait an additional 2 seconds before you can double blink again this will give survivors just a little more time to hide when the nurse is coming towards them or to break line of sight.

the only difference good nurses will feel is those extra 2 seconds when they are patrolling gens but nurse will still have the best gen patrol in the game regardless so I think its fair.

I would like to hear thoughts from nurse mains and any other suggestions you might have.

thankyou for reading.

she has the best gen patrol along with the best chase in the game this change only adds around 4 seconds on to her total time to travers from one side of the map to the other and dose not effect her chase times if she is good.

the whole point of this change was to rise her skill floor back towards where it was a couple years ago without affecting her skill ceiling your talking as if this change would put her in the dumpster with Freddy

Nurse does not have a high skill ceiling and simply reaching her skill floor is enough to carry even mediocre killer players anyway.
