Do we have or will we have any more info on the Prestige rework soon?
I still don't really know if it's worth it to rush characters prestige 1 or if it's better to just not prestige characters at this point and let the system do its work later.
At the moment I'm still keeping my strategy (I empty characters before prestiging, unles they haven't unlocked BBQ/WGLF because I always play those to maximise BP farming, then I empty only 100% BP offerings)
But I wish I could soon know if I need to change my strategy or not.

We know that you get a distinct reward for any character on P3 (lvl is irrelevant)
if you have characters that are lower prestige but have high level/perks unlocked there will some translation happen to the new prestige system probably higher prestige without losing anything on the chars but to unlock their teachables on the other characters) - though you will not get the distinct reward this way.
the reward hasn’t been announced, though Mandy confirmed it’s not gonna be a charm or cosmetic piece(s). Also she said it’s not gonna be paid currency (auric cells). [Edited to correct to Mandy’s statement below]
we also don’t know with which update the new system will come, I guess the earliest could be next midchapter - but nothing confirmed as of yet!
new infos might come shortly before the associated PTB, everything else is just speculation..

Just to correct something there, I said it would not be Auric Cells - that was in a response to a user who was sure it was going to be Auric Cells because I did not want a rumour to start that AC's would be the reward.
With regards to further information - I'm afraid I do not have anything else to share at this stage. We will give our more information closer to the time of release.

I really hope it's not just some currency. I actually Prestiged 3 two of my mains (I never prestiged prior) as I had thought I read somewhere it wouldn't be a charm or currency. Currency can always just be earned, so nothing special there, and charms just give your position away, so running them is a disadvantage (unless you're a killer, at least...but no one pays attention to hook charms anyway).

Charms are an additional moving part essentially on the body, and the coloring usually clashes with the outfit making it more noticeable. It makes it harder to blend in with the environment. As a killer, it's fairly often that I visually lock onto charms moving around than the survivors themselves. They are just really, really easy to notice. It's also ruined several bush hider's days.

I hope the reward is not just blood points or iridescent shards as bp is about to lose its value with the grind/prestige changes and no amount of iridescent shards they can give would be enough, as most of the good cosmetics are over 18000 shards and I doubt they will give us that much per prestige character as players will just use the shards on future characters making company lose out on money.
I have all my favourite characters prestige 3 lvl 50 with all perks and all others are prestige 2 lvl 50 waiting to be prestige just in case something like this would happen and to find out that its possible that all my time put into the game is about to become a worthless waist of effort with nothing to show for it is really deflating.
I would settle for the bloody cosmetics to becoming exclusive. I know they say they won't make anymore exclusives but all I have to say to that is "twitch prime" not everyone can splash the cash on it and even if you get it now there are cosmetics that are not available anymore and unlike rift cosmetics they have not said they will be added to the store as far as I am aware.
I just want something that can be shown for my effort not something that can be earnt with minimum effort by just playing the game like currency.

why keep it a secret?? all you stand to do is disappoint people. just let us know so we can plan for it pleeeaseee.
i need to make decisions during this event and i'm already losing old event items that i don't know if we'll ever get again and i don't even know if i'm doing it for anything. it feels so bad to play not knowing if i'm just destroying my past thousands of hours of progress for no reason.
please please if you know, tell us so we can make decisions that need to happen well before the update is released ((preferably During this event plz plz plz)

I wish reward to not be something that we gonna regret for NOT prestiging characters before update, definitely not an unique reward, and certainly not an exclusive.

i will most definitely feel robbed if its not a unique reward. they promised a DISTINCT reward. it's NOT DISTINCT if it's the same for all characters. it CAN'T be currency. i'm throwing away progress for a promised reward. if the reward is less than i put into it, then it's NOT a reward. it BETTER be unique and exclusive because they promised it be DISTINCT and i'm literally making choices based on the given information.

I thought "distinct" as in at least you will get something, I definitely feel robbed if it's a unique reward that we can not get later on.
And if we have to grind through this mess because of FOMO for something we don't even know what that is, it gonna entirely defeat the purpose of grind reducing update tbh.

Currency would NOT be distinct for each character. the rewards HAVE TO be different for each character. that is what DISTINCT means. else they were LYING.

Character Portrait sparkles ARE NOT DISTINCT. it's the same EXACT thing applied to each character. you PROMISED us DISTINCT. make right on your promise 😤
