Nurse needs a complete rework tbh. No teleportation, she needs something complete different.

I don’t get it. Bhvr is releasing chapters with new innovative killers like the dredge and all people want to play is nurse because she’s peoples favorite OP toy. She needs to get nerfed into the ground or completely overhauled.

The only “possible” rework that Nurse could get is when she fully clenches her hand to “Blink” she turns completely invisible by going to the spirit world. Survivors hear a TR, but cannot tell exactly how close she is until she is visible. She gets a movement speed buff, and can move freely on any leveled surface. As in through the walls, cars, etc. However, not from one floor, or elevated level, to another. She can’t see any scratch marks, but hears increased sounds in the spirit world. When 1 charge runs out she comes out, is allowed to look around, and turn invisible again but for a shorter time. Basically how cetaceans dive, come up for air, and then dive again. If she misses a blink attack she gets punished like she regularly does.
Rework her add ons for when she’s in the spirit world. Spasmodic Breath gives her the 4.6ms while in the spirit world. Anxious Gasp will make players scream if she moves through them while in the spirit world. Jenner’s Breath is the only power that allows her to “blink” back to where she did the first clench. So if you turned invisible next to a gen, and after looking around you activated the second the second farther away… She can choose to warp back to the original location. Badman makes her completely undetectable while in the spirit world. Kavanaugh is changed to increase how long she can “stay” in the spirit world.

I am glad I am fine if addons are changed like range when dh gets changed since it is strong, but I was a bit pessimistic about what exactly a Nurse nerf would entail. Don't know why people just say random stuff without it being confirmed.

Survivors: God nurses are real and have to be seriously balanced for
Also survivors: Good SWFs are too rare to even consider, we can't touch anything survivor side until solos have a 15% higher escape rate minimum

The answer is obvious: rarely.
The "god-nurses" that many people talk about are probably made up of a few real god-nurses, and other nurses who are good, just good, and who have come across survivors who think they are strong, and who take a beating.
And this forum needs relevant interventions ... although, if it was trolling, it was very well executed, I fell for it, I really thought you were talking seriously!
And if not, people who complain that the ugly nurse is too strong ... we are still waiting for the videos of your games against her, so that we can see how much you are living gods in the art of countering a nurse 😉

Just because some survivors are so "strong" that they would manage to get caught by one of the Nemesis zombies doesn't mean that the Nurse has to fall in line with them.
In the same way: just because one player is VERY OCCASIONALLY a killer, and therefore sucks at killing, doesn't mean that the survivors all have to go 3m/s just to please him.

Watching the first video, there's a very fundamental issue there. Yes, the "counter" is to make distance and to stay out of LoS when she's charging. However, the former is made almost entirely irrelevant by add-ons, and the latter is map-dependent. Both of those are the reason why Midwich is stupidly good for Nurse, for example.
The second video is...strange. The background footage shows a Nurse on Ormond who doesn't appear to be that good. So yes, the counterplay works. Also, he mentions DH as a counter, and... yeah, no.

hhm not super busted... But its still not a killer that requires "skill" took me a day to learn the blinks almost flawlessly and to achieve great results with her she is strong, i like the nerf just like you but bonkers busted is a lil overreacting

but thats the thing she doesnt... I used to main nurse a few months ago... Literally took me 1 day if even that to learn the blinks with almost pinpoint accuracy... Now she isnt super busted but she is fairly strong i lose against some bad nurses as often as i lose against good. (now the 2 most recent nurses were cheaters, and i havent faced some in a long time (they had legacy skins with 200 hours and the steam acocunt was 1 year old this was late 2021) But that she requires some super skills is bullshit pure bullshit. Now sure there are killers who you can jump on and deliver great results with that doesnt need any practice nurse is still one of the harder ones to learn. But its not what youtubers say "blah blah you will have to put down thousands of hours on her"
In reality you need a day to learn the blinks, after a week or so you will be very accurate with the blinks, Then the only thing missing is game sense which you need on most killers anyway. Just knowing the map makes a difference with nurse. I mean if you know the layout you can "teleport" more strategically. Its more of a guessing game yes...

Not true at all. Nurse powers and swf are completely different topics it’s just irrelevant what-about-ism.
Players fail to outplay nurse because she can circumvent a number of the tools players use to outplay other killers. That doesn’t make her uncounterable though.
She’s only OP to the crowd who think there is one way to play the game and just can’t or won’t switch it up.
For anyone who struggles to play against a certain killer they should try playing that killer.

Honestly, unless it's a small tweak to some of her more batty addons, any nerfs to her kit would make her literally unplayable at lower MMRs. She already has the lowest gross kill rate.
What the Nurse needs is a complete, floor to ceiling redesign. She's...almost the worst of both worlds - crazy OP and crazy one dimensional/boring.
Eh...you can't talk about the balance of a killer without talking about SWF. This is why adding SWF to the game and having no systems to account for this matchmaking wise was a bad idea - because you can't balance around solos without making SWFs immortal, and balancing around SWFs makes it overly hard on solos.

Give her back her old short swing when she blinks. That's why she was difficult. Giving her a normal lunge when she can go through walls was a stupid idea and should have never been a thing. Giving her add-ons to reduce her fatigue was also stupid since the whole reason she was forced to wait on her blinks to recover was to give time for a survivor to try and get distance. Both should be changed.

Only reason why she's so broken is that she's the only character in the game that ignores all the rules and mechanics of the game. Pallets, windows, rare stun means nothing to her since she just blinks through every thing.
Really can't think of any sort of nerf that doesn't end up destroying her kit or a complete rework on her power.

Nurse was design is littered with flaws and her power is also littered with bugs. Her power tends to cause alot of balance problems within the game that even I can say that her power is designed back when dbd didn’t have this many perks, a single killer shouldn’t cause a power problem in perks to the point where some people don’t want Dead Hard nerfed because of Nurse, a killers power should NEVER influence a perk to not be changed

I don't understand why people are comparing SWF with Nurse. Is SWF a killer with a power? Can survivors teleport between walls too and ignore in-game mechanics?
I don't think every killer is suitable (not capable because there is evidence that they can) to face every single swf scenario. However, it depends on many things, like are they running meta perks? Is your hex in a ######### spawn location? The majority of the things that SWF survivors can do, a solo team CAN also. The difference is the reliability factor because you are playing with strangers vs friends who aren't as willing to make specific decisions that are detrimental, like taking hits, bringing perks like BT to semi-counter Camping and Tunneling, not healing while they could be doing a gen... etc etc

Ok how is nurse skilled? i have 4000 hours and 1000 hours on this account... ive played some nurse back in 2017 and 2021 takes 3 games to learn in the blinks... Map knowledge takes you really far she is fairly hard to master but not to pickup and be decent with that just takes map knowledge and knowing her blink timing... yes the addons are are a part of the mastering for an example omega blink took some skills to pinpoint close-midrange

Show me a video of you playing against a nurse, please.
Players who don't want DH nerfed because of the nurse are players who don't know how to do anything other than DH when playing against the nurse.
Whereas players who don't have DH in their set are completely capable of giving a nurse a hard time.
This way, players will only have to quietly hold down the "forward" key to put distance permanently and make the nurse go around the whole map.
Note, maybe that's what they want... to be able to bully the nurse like any other killer they are so happy to feel so strong against...

Nurse is fine, if they just tuned down some perks on both sides that buy massive amounts of time to make the game more skill based rather than a perks arms race and worked on the gap between swf and solo nurse would be worse off anyway and on top of that it would let them buff the weaker killers and put the game in a better state

Im good against nurse don’t get me wrong. It’s just the majority of people that struggle against her because she’s op. Makes my survivor games miserable.

The official DBD discord has multiple voice channel literally called "SWF" where you can join to talk with the people you're playing with, just saying

That´s still different than in-game voice chat. Also Steam has a voice comms system embedded you don´t even need Discord.
