Survivors are rushing gens too fast...
Resilience + Prove Thyself + Overzealous are making games insanely fast... As a killer main is being too hard to defend gens against this perks in SWFs.

Yeah gen speeds are pretty fast and camping and tunneling is happening too much. Unfortunately it doesn't seem like they're doing anything about it any time soon.

Yeah its happening too much lately. Before anyone says i dont defend gens i do defend gens as fast as my huntress legs takes me to them.
I use corrupt, pop and call of brine but still brine alone shows me how i kick the gen and 2 seconds later survivor is already on it. I go back and another gen gets done. So yeah i do defend gens but i have to chase people too to get few hooks at least.

Gen speeds have always been a problem

Considering they're reworking 39 different perks and making basekit changes to account for them in a few weeks time, I have to wonder why you think it 'seems like' that.

Itās worth mentioning that killers that have no ability to traverse the map quickly should be utilizing perks that passively effect generator speeds such as pain resonance, dead manās, ruin etc over perks that require you to travel to the generator. Huntress specifically only has map presence by keeping chases short. You donāt want to spend time out of chase.

If survivors just do gens, realistically most killers don't stand a chance. I had a match yesterday in which I died but it was all over in 5 minutes. Everyone was solo from what I can tell, the Killer was a Deathslinger. I spawned near the killer and had barely touched a gen when he found me. I then spent the rest of the game in chase/being tunnelled. The killer did OK in 1v1 - that's Slinger's strength after all - but I managed to dodge a few shots and at that point there was literally nothing else he could do. Three people out, killer had three hooks on one person. And no, it's not like I could be mad, three gens had popped when he had his first hook, he wanted to secure at least that one kill, I totally get it.
It's more OK for other killers but what is a Deathslinger supposed to do? And not everyone has DMS + Pain Resonance + Deadlock unlocked on every killer, you need to remember that as well. I have 1000 hours in this game and literally do not have that combo unlocked on anyone yet due to bloodweb RNG!
The only issue is that this is not the usual solo queue experience. When I play survivor, I'm mostly solo and I have to say many, many of my matches last 10-15 minutes and very often not all gens are done by the time everyone is dead. There is literally no explanation for that other than teammates just not doing them. I run Bond and Kindred a lot so unfortunately I can confirm that is the case. I can't rush through the gens myself either as I often take chase or unhook teammates as no one else does it. If they now nerf gen speeds, I might have to stop playing survivor. I don't see how this can be balanced efficiently as it's an issue with playstyles and skill-level. Unfortunately, it's rare to actually get matched with teammates of similar experience level.

I used to use scourge hook / dead man switch but i hate the RNG of the hooks and me personally i find more value over pop + brine
Tried many combos but so far this seems to work the best. Brine helps me also see where the survivors are.

Yesterday I played together with a good friend. I usually play Solo Q, but she's a smart person and I enjoy playing with her. We had a match against Doc. Our two random mates were trash, only doing bones and chests. My friend did 4 1/2 gens on her own (!) while I was the Doc's toy. Both of us and one random mate escaped. The game lasts only 9 minutes.
So yes, gen speed is definitely insane! But ask my friend who was sitting at gens for more than 6 min, if she had fun. I guess not.

Prove Thyself, sure. But resilience and overzealous?
1 -
They stack though. I still don't see Overzealous much beyond Haddie Adepts but one person with PT and two people with Resilience (plus potentially Spine Chill) is still pretty meta.

Multiplicatively or additively?
Overzealous is an actual time sink unless you do like, 3+ gens. I can see Resilience, but at least it comes with some risk.
1 -
That is a good question, I don't know but I do know that if I run Tinkerer, the gen is usually done by the time I've managed to walk myself over there. š
I don't have Haddie yet but Overzealous seems fine if you do totems anyway. I still run Inner Strength though and gen speed + a 9 second heal is pretty good...

That's a good question, I don't actually know but I do know that if I run Tinkerer, the gen is usually done by the time I managed to walk myself over there. š
Overzealous is only an issue if you don't do totems. I still run Inner Strength sometimes... and gen speed + a 9 second heal is actually pretty good. I don't have Haddie yet though so I haven't actually tried the combination yet.

It's because other playstyles are now impossible or too difficult. The only way to win is to rush gens as fast as possible. Chases aren't about skill or mindgames at all anymore, sadly. They often end too quickly, because of questionable, unfair hits over windows or pallets, or killer just spammed his antiloop power to get you and there's absolutely nothing the survivor can do to prevent it. So naturally survivors would have to do generators very fast, most of the time.
2 -
Well yeah, but that's just anything being awesome if it shares a bunk with Inner Strength. Like getting extra fries if you get the combo meal.
Like.. a frontloaded, storable 21 second solo heal? Hell yeah, sign me up!

Overzealous and Resilience are overkill. Everything they need is Prove Thyself to make the game last less than 5 minutes.
Yesterday I had a SWF send me to Ormond and one of them had Prove Thyself and a really good toolbox. They all escaped but I got the same SWF again and made sure to tunnel the Prove Thyself. Good thing since I got 4k that game.
If it helps, I will say that most efficient SWFs have one member who isn't very good at chase but has a build specific to rush them. I would suggest tunneling them out.

If you really think that OverzealousĀ is a problem, I dont think it is the Survivors or Gen Speeds fault that you lose games.
5 -
Same can be said for Prove Thyself. All it does is negate the stacking penalty. You want multiple survivors on a gen, it's when they spread out that you can't pressure them and they end up 'genrushing'.
2 -
I've never seen anyone use Overzealous, it doesn't do much.
Perhaps if killers didn't try to kill so fast, survivors wouldn't feel forced to do that. Most matches is a slug party.
2 -
You didn't mention your build? If you're not using corrupt intervention then yes depending on spawns you can lose your first 3 gens to one 80 second chase.
0 -
Well that's because to get the masks all of our gens have to be done and an exit gate has to be opened we don't get the luxury of just grabbing the invitations.
1 -
Yeah, I know mostly every game I have known has been survivors, just been gen rushing and it's really annoying
0 -
This is correct. Sometimes I think that people dont understand what Prove Thyself actually does, but they see the increased Gen Speed and nothing more.
It is obviously better to go against Survivors with Prove Thyself who sit on one Gen compared to going against Survivors without it who split up and work on two different Gens.
But Overzealous is a straight-up Noobtrap.
2 -
oh no
anyways we aren't nerfing prove thyself even tho its literally THE MOST USED PERK BY SWF which are a general problem in this game
1 -
source: trust me bro
?
2 -
source the perk isn't in the tweet, and literally play killer for more than an hour and watch every SWF have it
0 -
Well to be fair, there isn't much else to do on the survivor side but do gens. Also there are plenty of gen slowdown perks to combat gen speeds.

You wanna know the most annoying thing?
They“re going to nerf Pop, Pain Ressonance, Joult, Corrupt and Ruin... And about Resilience 9% speed or Prove Thyself 5% speed? Not a chance...
