Prestige levels should be hidden in the tally screen
Unless the new teaser screenshots were just to show off the new prestige icons, they suggest that they will be visible to all players in the tally screen. I seriously hope you reconsider doing this or all the pointless discussion of "why am I constantly getting matched with high/low-prestiged players?!?" will happen again.
You can tell us a thousand times over that ranks/grades/prestige does not influence matchmaking or does not represent skill, many players will never understand that. The decision to hide grades for this very reason was a great one and should remain with prestige.

Yup completely agree, I too made a post about this today. Its really bad cause it influences the perception of the matchmaking.
How can it be fairly matched when they have all these things and I don't and they still beat me? etc.

I completely agree. Removing grades from the end screen was an excellent change that cut down on a lot of unnecessary rudeness in post-game chat and misinformed discussion about the game's matchmaking. Associating any kind of number with a player's account where higher = better will naturally lead to people making unhelpful assumptions and getting mad at the matchmaking again.
If prestige icons are supposed to be a fancy reward we can show off then they should work like charms; optional cosmetics we can pick and choose between that don't necessarily have a big number attached.

Agreed. It should only show on your screen, not anyone else's.
But at the same time, I prefer for it to show in the end screen than in the lobby for sure, otherwise people will just skip lobbies. But there are people who don't prestige by choice, and people who'll prestige any chance they get.

People who care about it should be able to show off their prestige levels. Personally I'm never going to prestige and think the comments will be funny.

So you won't go past level 50 for any character? That really limits perks and add-ons.

Seriously, especially with the upcoming perk progression changes.. Yes you need to get to p3, but then the perks are unlocked on everyone else at level 3, greatly reduces the grind on everyone if you do it for everyone. (or at least for everyone whose perks you care for)

I was under the impression the teachable system would be intact but the prestige stuff would be there as well?

Replace it with the character portraits instead :p

Yeah, the teachables will be there as well afaik. I just never get a very good perk loadout within 50 levels, and not going past 50 would mean once any offerings are used up you can't get more. It seems pretty limiting.
