overcome is being indirectly nerfed by the new change
"Next, we’ve reduced the cooldown for successful basic attacks by 10% (now 2.7 seconds, previously 3 seconds) and reduced the duration of the Survivor’s speed boost upon being hit by 10% (now 1.8 seconds, was 2 seconds). Moving forward, Survivors will gain slightly less distance upon being hit, making it more difficult for them to run long distances to a safe area. "
the point of overcome is to create distance after being hit but with this new change the perk is less useful overall and it's not even a meta perk so I believe overcome may need a slight tweak or secondary feature to make it more appealing to use

another thing they can do is change overcome's speed boost from 2 seconds to 2.5 seconds which will mean this perk will not be impacted by the change

I could see it being given a number increase, add 0.2 seconds to its effect, to better match what it is currently.

it's actually 0.5 seconds if they want to keep it as is since killers also recover faster with the new change

It's appeal comes from the lack of forethought the survivor needs to put into getting exhaustion-level value from an exhaustion perk. It's okay if it gets nerfed indirectly in the same patch that severely nerfs other perks whose value is rooted in its passive nature (Hex: Ruin, Tinkerer)

No? It's the opposite.
As the distance you can get from a killer normally is decreased, anything that increases it again raises in value.

Correct. Overcome is MORE valuable now.

it lost 25% of it's power how does that make it more "valuable" when the perk was never meta to begin with?
if it's more valuable to you now then why don't you use it once the patch is out?

it didn't? base boost changed. unless i missed a change to it somewhere, which is possible.

the perk was developed and balanced around that base but if the base is changed then the overall perk is weaker, why don't you look at this from a different perspective?
do you see yourself using this perk after the changes for more than 1 or 2 matches?

so, if i'm understanding you, what you're actually upset about is the overall nerf to speed boost after hit, and you want the same amount as before. but that's not in the cards. devs want that shorter. so you need to reframe your argument a little.
because if Overcome wasn't changed, but base boost was nerfed, then Overcome is now MORE valuable, because the percentage it is now increasing your boost ability is greater than it was prior, because the base amount is less than it was. this makes choosing to run Overcome NOW, in the new paradigm, more valuable than it was before, because now you get more bang for your buck, as it were.

Overcome was developed and balanced around that base boost we have but if that is changed then overcome needs to change as well because now it's not as useful, so do you see yourself using overcome after these changes?
if the answer is No then this perk has no value to you

Yes I do, overcome is really good with lucky break and lucky break is getting a change as well, so yeah it may be niche, but it fits into a build and a pretty good build at that. The "where did they go build" is quite fun give it a try lol. Just have those perks and healing perks if you want and run off to a hidden part of the map without the killer seeing exactly where you are going by breaking LoS and then heal up fast to conserve lucky break and continue doing that wastes the killer's time a lot as they usually look around the area confused as to where you went. Sure it may not be meta, but it's not bad.

Agreed, I think it's a good way to balance the base game while also encouraging see niche perks. I'll use it
