Ruin needs to not be a Hex anymore

Not only are the announced Meta changes reducubg Ruin's regression by half, it now AUTOMATICALLY snuffs itself out after one survivor dies.

That's got to be some kind of joke for a hex totem that can be snuffed in the first 10 seconds of a match. It's over. It's done. Just make it not a Hex any longer and call it done. There is zero reason why it should be a hex any longer.

Yeah, no reason for it to remain a hex perk anymore. Just make it a tool that benefits players for pressuring generators.

Even if it wasn't a hex, it's a weird design decision with how harshly they nerfed ruin. With all the buffs to kicking gens, ruin most of the time is just worse than kicking the gen normally.

Ruin is gonna be too weak now.... Did the devs forget how often the Ruin totem gets found and cleansed within the first 60 seconds of the game?

I honestly just wish hex perks would remain for a bit after their hex totem is destroyed. Of course that should be dependent on the Hex Perk. Ruin should stay up for like another 45 seconds or so after it's destroyed, for example.

Hexes in general need to be completely overhauled. They basically admitted that snuffing a perk with a single action would be too powerful if killers could do it to survivors (so they made a perk you have to bring to do it). So why is that still how killer hexes work? It's super dumb.

At this point I wonder if it's only a Hex perk because it's a Hag perk

AKSHUALLY undying should apply to all totems and revive the ones broken before the hex itself

Because Hexes and Boons have different types of benefits. Boons have benefits that aren’t in play at the start of the match, they take 14 seconds to place after finding a totem, and their effect is limited to a short range around the totem. Hexes on the other hand start out in effect immediately at the start of the match and their effects are all map-wide. So generally speaking Hex effects are in principle supposed to be more powerful than Boons, but Boons last longer because they can be replaced.

There is zero reason Boons and Hexes need to work the same way. They just need to be individually balanced according to how Boons and Hexes work as a whole.

They could offset Ruin being very weak now by making it re-lightable. We have yet to have a Hex: perk that lets us relight a totem to get that hex back.

Perk is almost dead. With undyng and thrill could stay up until one survivor die or they cleanse all totems. But it Is worth do do an entire fragile build for a kill? Numbers are really low now. I think one nerf is ok, but both numbers and totem kills itself will make this perk disappear. On just make it not an hex.
