Ahh I remember the days of Gameshark... trust me, there are a lot of cheaters in this game... many of them subtle. I've noticed that my connection starts going crazy whenever I get near someone cheating. They seem to gain bursts of speed (without the proper perks) and have this common habit of just vanishing after turning a corner... and in places that there isn't anywhere to hide.

Even if you record and they get banned. They'll just create a new account. That's why I hate it when games go free to play.

Correct. I know someone (a friend of a friend) who I swear has been easily cheating over a year.
Had them in multiple random lobbies where they just finished all gens and escaped. So boring and annoying that they never get banned for it (as far as know they haven't been).

The funny part is, if a killer is using wall hacks there is almost a 0% chance you will notice. Because of the amount of aura perks that exist, and the fact that they can just argue they were mind gaming.
People like to point out who easy it is to tell if a survivor is cheating, but if a killer cheats subtlety, you will never know.

Have you thought about emailing a BHVR dev to explain the situation? It's someone you personally know (to a degree), so you should be able to just readily provide evidence whenever you run into them.

Like I've never played with them in a swf but I've had them in random games (literally did 4 gens vs me and escaped within 10 seconds on Thursday).
I shouldn't need to do that. The reporting system should be a lot better that I can report them after the match.
Also I don't know they're details to tell anyone who they are. I'd have to ask my mate and I don't really want to put them in that position.

Haha same. I am on console and couldn't be a..ed to report.
Even if I was on pc I would probably be too lazy to do it. Others can do it instead of me, I believe in you guys.

The report system needs an overhaul.
It's so unnecessary complex that most cheaters get to reign free for way too long just because most people can't report them properly.

Not necessarily. Anyone with half of a brain can take a loss... It becomes an issue when let's say you're playing as Doctor and somehow nobody seems to be affected by his special attack while gens in the next room are popping with no scratch marks. or even better... players (console and PC) who just happen to keep speeding up during a chase. Silly me... I didn't know that speed perks could recharge during a chase. If it looks like cheating and smells like cheating...

I'm on Xbox Series X so at any point I can record my last 30 seconds. With a few button clicks, I could also just start recording and have the entire match to that point recorded.
But I don't because doing a report takes so long that I could play an entire match before I finished my report. I'm not going to use up my free time to police a game that BHVR should be policing themselves. Sorry not sorry *shrug*

just a heads up if they are console they arent cheating. there is a reason that before crossplay there was zero hackers on xbox and just lag switchers, cross play came out and i got hackers and none of them xbox. its just how they make consoles, and if the console gets jailbroken its banned because they notice that crap. so just a little fyi

It's more difficult but not 0% (not much more though). Cheater aren't the sharpest tools in the shed. They can perfectly well phone their wall-hack or be detected by a survivor's. (OoO, Alert, ...)
