I play killer more then survivor. I really dont see the issue with just making the unhook bt 12 seconds. Tunneling killers are just going to act like people are running it anyways. I do if need to or if that survivor is being a particularly nasty turd.

5 seconds endurance? Nice. In solo survivors might be not enough because many times after you being unhooked yours teamates dont wanna take hit for u, so... And if you are in dead zone then u r just dead tho.

It is a big FU to Solo and I'm not going to play it any longer. I'd rather play Cyberpunk than DBD which somehow has MORE bugs than CB.
BT is supposed to help against tunneling, kinda? How is it ever going to help you against a face-camper, like what?! You'd need to be unhooked first, and we all know most won't go for a save against a boring Bubba being allergic to walking.
Spinechill was an amazing perk for beginners and now it's useless.

Don´t worry. Killers will still be weak.
Assuming that solo queue is the biggest part of the survivor group, the escape rates must have been really high, for them to recognize, that there is an issue.

It's funny because the amount of people who complain on the forums, you'd think SWF is all they go against, so I doubt solo is the majority.

An official statement would be nice in that regard. Because either solos aren´t as weak as people try to convince others on this forum. Or SWF numbers are so high, that they affect the escape rates across the board.

Good luck to them, if they can find enough people to play survivor. They forget about that i think: you need 4 survivors too. Not just one killer.
Yeah this changes will make so much people play killer. But question is that: After changes, will enough people play survivor

It puts an end to the op double down plays that plague and pyramid can make at hook. I know it isn't much but this really is a huge deal.

You know the worst? They believe Calm Spirit GOT BUFFED! I mean, they think cleansing a Hex, the most important and game deciding perk Killers have, more slowly is worth not making any sound, so its like giving yourself an uncleansable 3 stack Thrill of the Hunt for something you almost, universally only do when the Killer is somewhere else.
If you play Survivor enough you know most Hexes get cleansed when the Killer isnt around because they, you know, they can like see you cleansing it and interrupt you, either they dont play many Survivor or play against Killers that... I dont know how to say it, Id like to face those Killers instead of the sweatlords I have to face.
Killer mains are always crying "DEVS DONT PLAY KILLER!!" now, I dont know if they play Killer or not but seeing the perks Im damn sure they dont play Survivor at all, especially not Solo Queue.

I really believe they're trying to kill solo so players will get their friends to play. Get your friends to play so more copies of the game, dlc, cosmetics, etc. are sold.
Why buff Knock Out that really only works v solo q? Only counter to camping Bubba is either really good coordination in swf for the save or focus on gens which has low success rate in solo because players will waste time checking to see if they can save, add in the increased gen times and it's even less likely you'll escape in solo. The nerf to self-care which is popular in solo because you can't rely on randoms to heal you.

I believe they wanna boost kill rates with solo survivors. So they can keep killer players in game. But i wanna see their faces if this changes makes solo survivors leave the game.

I’m done playing solo q after this update, I knew BHVR was gonna mess this up. Switching to killer full time.

I agree that killers needed these kind of buffs to perform well against SWFs, but solo survivor was already difficult beforehand. This will just make it even more miserable.

they only play this game "casually" as in extreme noob mode.. lol they are clueless as i stated many times. they only read the comments on forums and pretend to know what's really going on in higher skill matches

I play casually these days and the changes destroy my casual game style. Killers equip perks and add-ons as if going against a super sweaty SWF group yet not everyone is on a call on Discord having info on the killer every minute of the trial. But well, someone in the thread told me to get friends to play... anyone wants to be friends? :$

Solo Q is already hell right now with all the supposedly OP meta perks and faster gens, even if you're decent and know how to loop it's still an horrible experience. If they release that update live as it is it will ruin the game

After some tests on PTB, i have to say this: If this update drops without changes, i will probably never touch solo survivor again. It was terrible.

What has been happening during your SoloQ survivor games in the PTB with these changes? I'm on console, so I can't test survivor out on there.

Endurance effects are stackable and probably this will be nerfed. So i played DS + basekit BT. And with other buffed perks. Gens took longer but tunnelling was stronger. DS did not give me chance to fight back. 5 seconds BT felt very weak.
So many times 5 gens did not even completed. Games was not fun.

I still don't understand why people think this.
The things that make solo queue more difficult than SWF have absolutely nothing to do with the basekit changes on either side, with the sole and highly arguable exception of increased generator times-- but since that only affects solo queue insofar as bad players already don't touch generators as much as they should, it doesn't count, in my view. Add onto that the fact that solo queue are helped by the basekit changes due to no longer hoping that teammates have BT or being helpless against getting farmed, and we're even further away from solo queue becoming an unbearable nightmare or whatever.
Even expanding into perk changes, solo queue isn't overall harmed. They haven't nerfed any of solo queue's required perks like Kindred, they have buffed perks that'll actively help solo queue like Off the Record, Botany Knowledge, Dark Sense + a few others, and I don't even think any of the new perk changes help SWF unfairly either since I can't remember any off the top of my head that'd require coordination to use effectively.
The only thing that potentially hurts solo queue in the perk changes is Knock Out, and honestly, I don't personally think people are gonna run that even after its buff. Even if it explodes in pickrate, though, that's a single perk, it doesn't counteract the parts that help solo queue and it certainly doesn't make this update a "middle finger to solo survivors".
Genuinely, am I missing something? Is there some reason that solo survivors are getting screwed over that isn't what I've already gone over?

I solo que and won every match last night, even escaped vs a Trapper who was solely concerned with camping his hooks. Solo que is just fine

I know high skill try hard SWF is a big problem for Killers, everyone knows.
53% kill rate. Is only because Solo has only 50% of match played, other 50% are SWF, either 2men, 3men or 4men(15%).
If the game only has Solo, you can image how high kill rate can be. Thats how screwed for Solo in the next patch.
The extra 10% kill rate Devs want will only putting on Solo.

I think it's going to be great at preventing tunneling and a huge pain to play against a SWF with. In solo queue though, if people are going for their 5 stacks of endurance plays it's going to be a pain to play with as a survivor if you aren't apart of the fun. No one will be doing anything useful.

Tunneling isn't quite as good if OTR makes it to live the way it is, assuming everyone brings it every game. Camping is still the same. So I'm only 50% okay with those particular changes. Hopefully if the patch is well received they will get to anti-camping after this year.

I live on solo q because this game is like mario kart wii for horror fans I have never had a fun night playing this with friends lol! The whole MMR based on player level already sucks and I get tunneled through DS already, I can't imagine what playing this in a few months is going to be like when tunneling gets really bad :( I used to love playing this game because it requires strategy but now it just feels like the devs are making this game unbearably difficult to play.

Problem is, friends aren't available all the time. I play solo most of the time. If the SWF decide to leave me until my second hook, I take that as they don't want me to play with them and I suicide on the hook to make it harder for them. shrugs That's the only thing you can really do. Honestly, as a killer if I find out the team does that to someone, I will literally not let a single one live. XD

The game got even more balanced for killers, it was needed, no whine needed, i am a survivor main and when i play killer i feel how hard it is, as surv must of the times the match was lost was because of mediocre plays by me or another survivor

If you're a mediocre survivor that's a you problem. I'm not mediocre and solo q is still garbage :)

It's common on this forum to hear that solo survivors lose because we're all mediocre. When the killer loses, it's 4-man SWF, or Plague being C-Tier at best, or whatever else. It's always skill issue with solo survivors, but never for the plucky underdog killer.
