Middle Finger for Solo Survivors
I am happy for killer buffs first because they were feeling weak against SWFs and good teams.
But now they butchered all survivor meta, killer meta just have small nerf with good basekit buffs. But what about solos? It is really so hard to add more information for solos?
5 seconds BT basekit is nothing btw. You can bodyblock survivor to go next loop. 5 seconds is NOTHING. And plus DS nerfed too. Good buffs for tunnelling. You are clearly adressed all DbD issues.

Yeah solo survivor totally ruined now. holy cow they made some fat nerfs to survivors this time. as if repearing gens isnt boring enough and survivors can't bother with it unless u're in a group of 4. gonna be some fun times ahead

Yea once again solo was not only ignored, but this time butchered.
I vote every solo player on here just makes a group or something and we start playing SWF.

They can enjoy if anyone play survivor now. I was not survivor main, i was only playing 20-30% time. And most times i was solo with painful games. Now it will be worse, i love myself. So i will just stay away from surv after this update.

I can't wait for people in my soloq to run nerfed Selfcare without any other perks or a Medi-Kit and heal with the new reduced healing speed through Sloppy Buther - oh boi lets goooo 👍 /s

Mm. DS not working after the exit gates are powered would have been fine.
Spine Chill also got too hefty a nerf.
The big issue though is that basekit BT isn't going to do all that much to discourage facecamping, as the killers capable of doing this effectively can drill through endurance fairly easily.

DS is now stunning you for 3 seconds. I am not complaining about exit gate part, 3 seconds is also nothing. DS was never stopping tunnel, now it will be worse. Specially against Nurse, Blight and Spirit. Can not wait!

That's so incredibly blatantly false. Having a mini bt basekit is light-years better than expecting most solo players to have bt. Last 15 matches I played as survivor had a total of 2 bt. Most of the changes help solo.
Corrupt now deactivates when a survivor is downed
Ruin is now awful and deactivates when someone is killed
Bt got a pretty hefty buff
Off the record is 80 seconds of endurance after unhook
Tinkerer was gutted
Pain res had it's most annoying aspect removed.
And this isn't even considering the changes the devs might make before it makes it to live servers

Corrupt is still doing same job. It makes survivors search the gen and gives you enough time to catch one survivor. Nothing changed.
Ruin is nerfed, true.
BT buff, joke right? 5 seconds basekit is also joke. Like i said, you can bodyblock survivor for 5 seconds. It is not hard.
Tinkerer is still doing it's job. And plus generators are taking longer time to finish.
Pain Res is still strong regression perk.
Pop lost 5% regression only, another joke.
NOED stays same while Dead Hard butchered.
Yeah killer meta butchered, for sure.

Yeah... I'm liking the killer buffs that came around with this patch, but for solo queue, I'm very concerned. All of these changes make the game more oppressive when it was already fairly well balanced for solo (mechanically, at least), and the DS changes make tunneling even more attractive than it was before.
Killers definitely got more than survivors did out of this meta shakeup.
I'd feel better if that had a date. As it stands, there's going to be a long time with these mechanics and no solo queue buffs.

I'll only respond to the bt part because you didn't read anything I wrote, considering you responded to things I never even said.
Bt was absolutely buffed. It gives you 15 seconds of endurance and 15 seconds of 7% haste. In what world is that not buffed?

So killers got basekit buffs which help them on chases and gen defend. But survivors still need to use BT for anti-camp. Even we have base-kit, we will still need to use same perk! Because 5 seconds is joke.

I think the change to noed and some of the hex stuff (ie ruin) and the tinkerer change is good for us solo survivors. Basekit bt is gonna help with any camping killer except bubba, at the very least.
90 seconds for gens is a huge buff for camping bubbas - which is already hell for solo survivor, and survivors who are on the same page are exceedingly rare and just feed bubba more kills, and just split and do gens (the hard counter to camping, especially bubbas) won't work anymore. I thought DS was perfect as is now - on both sides - but the stun nerf is going to hurt solo players so much - and I rarely even run that perk. At the very least, it should activate twice now with that.
I see myself playing survivor even less now, though (for reference, I usually play 50/50) until I have a 2 man (which is rare because I don't have friends who play much anymore). Oh well.
edit: but on the plus side off the record is 100% gonna be in my solo builds now :)

The combo Pain Resonance - Dead Mans Switch is dead now. A sad day for me as Freddy-Main! I think BBQ is now the better way to go than Tinkerer.

5 seconds is enough to make it to a pallet or window especially with the haste.

Yes, if you're on of those survivors who stands in front of the killer to try to take a hit with bt, then yeah they will wait it out, but that's entirely on you playing stupidly

Solo Queue might not be the best, but it is not as bad as you depict it here. I don't think the Solo Q will be butchered with Basekit BT and Perks that speed up gen repairing. Not to mention the Nerf on Killer Gen regression perks. Overall I think the changes will be healthy for the game. Pretty Good Job so far Bhvr (no kappa)!

You locked into drop from carry 1sec, which you have 2sec to run, its 8m. Its 0.6sec of Nurse charge...
Anti tunneling perks (especially BT & DS) dont prevent tunneling at all. Its really needed that Killer have to go for another survivor, not just encouraged

Agreed. We're not playing a survival horror game once we have 50 hrs or so. We're playing a multiplayer PVP game. It's ridiculous that we have to play blind or nerf ourselves when other players have 3rd party voice chat. Why not let us see survivor auras when someone is on the hook?

If you have brain to bodyblock survivor, no it is not enough.
And if bodyblock is problem, let me make better basekit for both sides.
BT is basekit, 10 seconds. But survivor is losing collision. Killer can not bodyblock them, survivor can not bodyblock them for their teammate. Problem solved for both sides.
5 seconds BT is joke and DS nerf will make game worse for survivors. Both changes are good buffs for tunnelling.

I've been recommending it forever. SWF it up. Play to win and show BHVR more accurate statistics so BHVR can balance more accordingly.

Sorry I think the first part is mostly true now with the haste but ignores basement/dead zones, but don't agree with that last part. If I'm being tunneled (or if I'm tunneling), I/the killer will already wait out bt regardless of a body block or not, in which 5 seconds does absolutely nothing. If a killer is hell bent on tunneling someone out 5 seconds kind of is nothing..

Nah Spine didnt get hefty nerfed, it got demolished if the changes goes through, it only gives you info if the Killer can already see you which in turn means you can see the Killer too, how incredible useful...

What promised to us? They wanted change meta. Right?
So what was killer meta? Anti-gen. They added some stuffs to help killers. And some buffs for chase, so you can finish chases faster and this mean you can catch them faster. Faster chases = you can defend your gens faster.
All of this killer changes pretty good. But killer meta did not nerf so much except Ruin. So people will still use Pop, Corrupt, PR etc.
Survivor meta? Yeah they butchered survivor meta. And they added anti-tunnel/anti-camp power to basekit (jokee).
What they added? BT for 5 seconds. But problem is time is so short. You can bodyblock survivor, so they can not go anywhere safe. 5 seconds is enough time to do that. And then you will take them down. Even they have DS, it is 3 seconds to use. And 1 second is already going before you start to run. So tunnelling will be worse and you will still need to use BT for have at least have chance.
So if you still need to use BT, how meta changed can you tell me please? Even it is so bad now, you will still force to use DS. If this changes looks good to you, you are clearly not playing survivor so much. Or you are SWF player.

I think the changes seem good and you lot are overreacting. the 5 second endurance and haste is far better then what we previously had which was nothing.
I don't think the nerfs to meta perks on either killer or survivor are unreasonable.

You won't see Corrupt much outside of setup killers now, I predict. We're going to move back into a kicky meta, with CoB/Overcharge/Pop. I don't mind that.
DS didn't need the nerf outside of not working endgame (which OTR now does in spades, and will likely be even more frustrating).
I think people are sleeping on the 7% speed boost. That's pretty nice. If you get hooked in the basement...well, don't get hooked in the basement.

The reason it is 5 seconds is because devs are not dumb, they know survs are just gonna bodyblock more and hook farm more. So you get 5 seconds

Ive been playing solo survivor exclusively for a while now without dh, ds, or bt. There are tons of great non meta perks that will actually shine now that tunneling and camping aren't quite as good.

Survivor is losing collision for 10 seconds, no farm, no bodyblock, good base change for survivors.

I don't see how Solo queue has been overly screwed. The basekit BT is a huge buff to solo que survivors as not only are you getting endurance but speed boost aswell. Don't forget that speed boosts tend to stack so if u do get hit off the hook you get the speed boost from being hit + 7% for 5 seconds.
Let's face it 9 times out of 10 BT is used not as an anti tunnel perk but instead as a perk that allows you a free health state to bully the killer with.
The DS nerf was a long time coming regarding it being deactivated after last gen and although the stun being reduced from 5 to 3 sucks this brings it in line with other stuns. Pallet stuns are 2 seconds and Head on stuns are 3 seconds so don't see this being a major issue with DS being brought to 3 seconds. If a killer wants you dead by tunneling there isnt anything you can do about it anyway and those extra 2 seconds arn't going to do much.
Ive seen a lot of people say how none of this helps against face camping bubba and that some killer buffs are helping bubba. Thats fair to say but if you get a game against a face camping bubba just get out of the match and start another game. Queue times (at least for me) arn't overly bad right now so its not much waiting to move to a new game.

DS was originally a 3 second stun but they increased it to 5 seconds due to enduring but when they changed enduring they never corrected ds back to 3 seconds. it was a long time coming tbh.

I play solo q, it's the only thing I do in DBD nowadays... I use spine chill, iron will and BT... Spine Chill helps me with awareness and information that I don't have as a solo player. Iron Will helps me with chases or to do things while hurt when you are a solo player and you don't want to take Self Care with you. BT helps me save other solo people or SWF with an impression of safety. The first two have now been destroyed. I guess it's just quitting for me since my friends got tired of this game long ago...

You can always find new friends on the forum and/or experiment with new perks and playstyles. You know, rather than doomsday prophesying before you even get a chance to test out the update.

Yup honestly, didn't read a single killer nerf that i thought was way too strong, while not reading any survivor buff that i thought would be useful (did calm spirit really need a nerf...like really?). Not to sound dramatic but I'm actually contemplating leaving the game now, obviously i'm going to wait until the update comes out but if it feels as bad as it sounds i'm not going to have the patience to wait an other three years for a solo q buff tbh. maybe ill just become a killer main, but i hate bloodlusting and it got buffed sooo yea, disappointing stuff.

I don´t think so. Off the Record will turn into a more powerful version of DS. Since you can use it twice. Combine it with Lucky Break and your escape rate will be significantly higher than now with DS.
