Suggestion for boon totem nerf

When the survivor who placed a boon totem gets hooked that boon totem returns to being a dull totem, Same consequences as Aftercare but making more sense as being hooked loses the survivors focus for maintaining the boon totem.

    Boons Perks are fine, some of them even need buffs

    Unfortunately they aren't fine due to how easy it is to set one up and them having infinite uses, this would allow the killer an alternative to dealing with boon totems instead of wasting one of their four perk slots to deal with them or wasting 40-60 seconds a match trying to find and snuff the boons. Would also cause boon users to play more passively with the threat that their boon totem can get put out easier. Only boon perk that would need a buff would be the recent one with a slight number increase to the speed bonus by maybe 1-2%.

    Boons have already been nerfed four times. Leave them alone.

    Especially Circle of Healing. Legion + 2 Anti-heal perks already got buffed. PLUS hemorrhage as an effect. ALL things that go towards SCREWING healing.

    and do you know how long you have to sit there to cast a boon? That's time off of a generator. Be glad.

    They're spending probably 30 seconds to get healed . . . probably longer if you have anti-heal . . . and that is pretty much half a gen.

    BE GLAD they're not making progress.

    14 seconds. 28 if they happen to cleanse a hex in the process.

    Ok. It's about 20 seconds healing, maybe 25 with Mangled. Did I mention it's for the whole team? Resets for all!

    And you're right. Only Coh got nerfed because it's the only issue with boons. (Well I guess except the range nerf from ptb).

    But I agree that this nerf would be too much and that's only because all other boons just suck.

    CoH remains the most Overpowered perk in the entire game because the "nerfs" didn't even start to adress what makes it overpowered.


    Time management is 4 times cheaper as survivor than killer. Working in that area to nerf a perk won't work because 10 more seconds to heal is absolutely nothing, especially if it's done in a safe area where the killer would need to go in order to check if there's a survivor healing.


    The problem is that totems are very fast and easy to boon, makes the killer lose TONS of time to snuff, while survivors can almost instantly boon them again. Basically, count as if it cost the killer one hook stage for one snuff, because that's basically what it costs.


    It's fine for boons with weaker effects, but then making it a boon makes very little sense.

    CoH gives an infinite amount of ressource to survivors and that's absolutely not okay. Self healing isn't supposed to be an easily available mechanic.

    Shattered hope should be baseline (without the aura reading) and/or blessing totems should take MUCH, MUCH longer.

    Blessing a hex totem feels like what it should be to bless a dull totem.
