Would you play against bots?
As Killer or Survivor, would you play against bots?

Maybe we already do and we don't know it.

I would like to see them as an option in the custom match, just for testing stuff out.

Same for me.
Actual matches against bots? No.

It's coming, the bot matches. I don't remember if we already have an idea about when... Maybe end of the year?
But yes, I'll do when I wanna learn a Killer's power. I'm a Survivor main, who plays Survivor for a very long time, so I'm OK facing real players only for this side. I slowly started to learn Killer and it's sometimes hard to keep everything up when I don't understand correctly how to use the power. So I'd like to verse some bots just to get used of the power then training with real players.

They'll be nice for testing weird stuff, warming up, maybe practicing a new killer with a difficult power

If I get BP like in normal match? Yes
4 -
i'd rather have bots than afk teammates

I would be willing to gain even less BP. I mean there are times you get tunneled or camped or genrushed every single match. I think it would be nice being able to change to bot matches to have at least some enjoyable games.

I don't see bots body blocking haha or rushing hooks with suicidal intent but it would be interesting.

Custom matches yes but if we ever get them in public matches, i would finally stop playing.
3 -
only sometimes in custom never in ranked

A lot of people already said it, I'm delighted, that bots are coming for costum game mode. For testing and training it's a good thing and I for one will also play in that mode, so I can relax a bit. ^^ No grudges, toxicity, etc. Sounds nice to me. A bot in an actual match? Oh god no. The disconnects, "It was unfair, the killer did not respect our disadventage", bugs and so on. Would also mess with the MMR of both sides.
But, yeah overall I'm excited when the bots come out, at the end of the year.

This.
It'd make testing out the butter-shredding capabilities of each Map way easier

I feel the same. I'm excited for them in custom matches to learn a Killer's power or testing things. But in a real match? Nah. If one of my teammates DC, it's on them and the Killer doesn't have to get a bot to deal with to replace them...

Sometimes i feel like a already play with/against bots to be honest 🥸
1 -
Just stop using Bond, it's better for your mental health not to knowing what [BOT] Nea and [BOT] Meg are doing (or not doing) on the other side of the map 😭

As long as they are competent, I can't see why bots would be a bad thing for custom games to test perks, killers and so on.
Anyone who's played overwatch against AI will know that they are good to try new things or use someone you don't in a way to test things.
Can't see them in the base game though. I know a lot of people like the idea of bots taking over d/c'd allies, but I can't see that working.

No, but I get consistently matched with them regardless

With you on that one.

I've been playing with bots in Solo Q for years.

As a few others have stated, custom game bots are good, bots in normal matchmaking would likely make me quit playing. I play multiplayer games to...well...play multiplayer. If I wanted to play a single player game, I'd play a different game.
The only caveat I would give is if someone DCs, I would be fine with them being replaced by a basic bot just to try to give those survivors left in the trial a fighting chance to do something since the bot can at least chew up a few seconds getting chased and hooked

sometimes, yea

In custom games 100% yes i'm so excited for that, in live games only if they're here to replace someone who DCed, but not as a replacement for actual players when the queues are long or whatever.

Bots can't come soon enough.
My biggest hope is that they'll actually do a really good job on killer bot AI to the point that we can push all 3 and 4-man SWF teams completely into bot killer games and rid them from the core pool. They get a high difficulty game type to abuse, and everybody else can actually play the game like it was intended.

Why would you stop playing if disconnected players are replaced by bots? I would think you’d rather have a somewhat ok bot playing than nobody at all.
0 -
How would bots replacing disconnected players be any worse than having no player at all any of those respects? Why would survivors complain more about killers playing “unfairly” when a bot replaces a disconnected player versus when the player isn’t replaced? Also why would this “mess with MMR” more than the current system where the player isn’t replaced?

I agree there that bots to replace disconnected players is good, I doubt there are any plans to have full games created from the start with bot players though outside of custom matches.

This. If I can get BP and complete challenges like a normal match I'd totally play v bots.

Nope

Because i play multiplayer games for the multiplayer aspect and if people get replaced by bots, it will just increase the DCs even if they still get a penalty.

People didn't understand what I meant. I thought of it as, when the waiting queue gets too long a bot will just spawn into the lobby. Not when a disconnect happens. So it would probably get treated similiar to a disconnect of a player. Which would lead to disconnects. "Oh no, we have a bot in our game, that s#cks. Well, here comes the penalty for a DC." It would basically mess with the mmr of a killer. Would the kill of a bot count? Are the bots a real match against a killer? The balancing would be difficult. Of course it can be done. But it will be likely to be done poorly, because a human comes with errors.
Also something messing less with something else is not better in it's core and wont bring solutions.

Without a doubt, yes!

Sometimes I just want a hook at 4 gens left to feel good
0 -
Got it. Yeah, I agree that I wouldn’t want lobbies to fill with bots.
1 -
What if that would be a option....but I could see bots being worse than human survivors.....

As a killer I'd only go against bots that way it won't be against some SWF gen rush sweat group with meta perks, comms and all that.
The game would be enjoyable then.
