Hatch and SBMM
It's come to my attention that getting the hatch doesn't effect your MMR and I feel, especially with the upcoming changes, that this should be reconsidered. I also understand there is a weight applied for how long you managed to survive and IMO, managing to survive 3 survivor kills, and the hatch being the absolute last resort to escape (I know you can still get gate escapes, IMO they should count just the same as a hatch escape at this point) that managing to actually escape the trial, the survivors only goal, should count.
Theoretically, a good player is paired up with 3 bad players, and those 3 bad players get themselves killed immediately, this shouldn't reflect badly on the good player, if anything their ability to adapt to the changing conditions should be acknowledged. I understand maybe the win isn't as grand, and maybe it shouldn't be awarded a grand prize, but IMO it still counts for something and should be considered a win.
Even if it was some slimy dude hiding in the corner who manages to get it, his luck will die out and correct itself.

Hatch is a consolation. You haven't won, because you haven't unlocked the exit gates and completed all of your objectives.
You can also get the Hatch by being an absolutely awful survivor and just being the last one to be killed through sheer luck.

You can get out via exit gates by hiding whole game if you are lucky and get good teammates. Sheer luck.
You could be paired with 3 really bad teammates so the killer, who might be just average, wins by sheer luck and you still manage to escape. So did the killer really win or was just bad matchmaking?
I think many aspects of this game are influenced by some kind of luck. For some you get rewared, for some not. I agree that hatch should be considered a win for the last survivor, because often it needs some kind of strategy to scout the map for it, without being found.

hatch remains a wild card issue in this game because either it has to be there to motivate survivors to play or it forces them to concede the match early if their team mates are not pulling their fair share of responsibilities.
From the First iterations of the game. hatch required 2 generators to be completed before the hatch would appear. This meant that the reward was not available if an effort was NOT made. The issue then was the game allowed for a person to stand at the hatch and not go down it , because one the killer was there they could perform the "grab" action and a person had to literally sit there waiting and hoping one or the other side could somehow bluff the action.
The following revision of ECG+ hatch close, awards the killer the match entirely and makes the 4th survivor "free". Either a person has to somehow unlock an exit gate and make it out on a big map or face capture on a small map where the killer somehow can cover that ground in time. Since exit gates have 3 red beacons and a buzzer. So either hide out and wait for ECG or get downed. There is no win.
What I have felt is that the last survivor standing needs to earn their escape and that the killer should earn their capture instead of being given a "free" 4th. That way both sides are having to work still.

I think you can count a hatch escape as a win, when the exit gates are open. Otherwise you need to choose between more bp (hatch) or a win (exit gate).
Bit if you dont get that far, it shouldnt count as a win. There are some ways to cheese a hatch escape almost every time and ruin the fun for your entire team. This shouldnt be a viable strategy for winning.
