Overcharge nerf is literally illogical

Why the hell would you run this perk over call of brine?. With call of brine you have 200% regression instantly but with overcharge you need to wait 30 seconds for it xD. Who would use overcharge over cob? only logical reason is to stack them both but perks shouldn't be balanced so they are only worth running with perk combos.

Unbelievably overreacted nerf which is kinda funny.

It’s basically a gamble - you get more value than call of brine if the survivor misses the overcharge skillcheck, or if the gen is regressing for a very long time (since call of brine ends after 60 seconds), but less if the survivor interrupts the regression quickly and doesn’t miss the skillcheck. I think it’s fine now and it was definitely overtuned on the PTB.

Wildly over-nerfed, as killer perks constantly are.

Or, you can just instantly tap the gen and step away before working on it. If the game doesn't have time to actually bring up the skill check, it won't count leaving as a failed skill check, but it WILL deactivate Overcharge 100% of the time.

This was the core problem with the perk to begin with, and rather than fixing that, they added the regression speed. Now that THAT'S nerfed to pointlessness, there's no reason to run it AGAIN.

The Overcharge skillcheck actually appears no matter what even if you immediately let go (so you can do the skillcheck while running) and the gen still explodes if you miss. This isn’t new.

It's a flaw in the perk. The whole point of the original Overcharge was "survivors need to take time to do the skill check so they can't just tap the gen." If you get to do the skill check while running, guess what: the perk isn't doing what it was supposed to.

I know it's not new. That's the problem. That's why nobody used it. That's why it was supposed to get buffed so that there WOULD be a reason to use it.

So they added the regression. Which doesn't solve the reason why the perk was bad in the first place, it just made it into a new perk that has some use somewhere.

    And then it got nerfed.

    And now it's bad again.

And there's no reason to run it.

    So: Mission failed.

Forget Call of Brine... Overcharge is arguably a downgrade over a perkless kick.

Nobody is going to use it.

They should've just reduced the maximum gen regression from 400% to 300%. Less, but still good. What really needs to happen is giving survivors an animation for starting and stopping repairing a generator like .5 to 1.0 seconds to one frame tapping a generator just doesn't work mid chase.
