Making perks unusable to change the meta Is bad game design! We still have the same meta but worse!
Instead of getting the same perks every chapter that do slightly different things why not be creative and offer variety so we have more play styles. If you guys need help open It up to the community ask them to give you Ideas for perks. We still have the same meta just slightly different now you nerfed DS and gave us OTR same outcome but less fun. Same with killer more of the same slowdowns just slower. It Is becoming very repetitive DBD needs new life In It please do better!

DS is gonna be absolutely useless against the best killers, endurance no longer stacks, its going to unfortunately be a tunnel meta

Same meta? Dead Hard is getting nerfed to actually have counterplay, so it'll seldom be used. BT won't be a necessity for risky hook saves now. WGLF and BBQ will be used for their actual perk effects rather than the bloodpoints, so they'll see less use. Pop got hit and Pain Res is no longer a "do everything" perk, and other more otherwise useless perks like Overcharge and OTR will see play. You can say that the meta will still be second chance for survivor and slowdown/delay/regression for killer, but what else would it be?

Making the current meta dramatically less attractive is a necessary step in shaking up the meta, it's very very far away from bad design. People won't swap to new options if their old options are still good.

That's why we have the forum though. And the meta has changed, hopefully DH isn't still in it. I much prefer OTR over BT anyway.
You might have to name specifics to clarify. Pain res and dead man's is gone, DH is gone, BT is probably gone? The only thing I see replacing it but stronger is OTR. If you mean gen kicking, I'm not about to spend 10 minutes kicking gens, I'll run other fun perks.

The point of my discussion Is we need more creative perks that offer new playstyles; not the same perks with a different name.

I just want the devs to offer fun creative perks like blast mine for the people blood warden getting the same perks every year is so boring we do not need meta just variety so people have stuff to play around with

Isn't that for the chapter release though? Mid chapter is for balance, not for new content. I completely agree having new fun perks to run in builds for new synergy is great, keeps the game fresh. Turn this into a perk ideas thread rather than a rant. We need more threads like that. I saw a thread earlier today that had a killer fully designed in it, and it was well thought out too, damn I was impressed.

How is that gonna be a "tunnel meta" if you still need 3 hits to down an unhooked survivor, but now he has endurance and haste?
DS is still useless against best killer, even with 5 seconds. (I do think DS should be 5 seconds stun tho)
BT is gonna be must have for sure, but coz of haste, it's gonna be much harder to tunnel. Am I missing something?

Endurance may be not stackable anymore but otr is still better than DS if you manage not to get hit for 5s after the unhook and it works 2 times, and lasts for 20s longer.
You can still use it with DS, and hitting DS get's rid of deep wound, so it should be viable

I never used DS and I wont use OTR getting camped or tunneled Is situational and yeah it does happen often but id rather run perks for fun or beneficial to everyone they need to focus on fun and altruistic perks

BT: Guardian ->more speed boost (114.5%, almost as fast as the killer) for some seconds.
DS: OTR
DH: why do you even cry? I won't miss that perk and I am a Survivor Main.

I wanted to get away from DS, but soloq pretty much requires this, since many just farm you and the killer tunnels...

It probably won't take you more than 2 games to realize that your chases will be incredibly shorter and easier for the killer for the sole reason that DH doesn't exist anymore and now the killer can lunge from maximum distance without worrying about dead hard.

Well... Play safe, don't be greedy and you will be fine. I stopped using DH since servers were implemented and I won't miss it

You will miss it. You don't realize that you were, in fact, using dead hard, because it's one of those perks that force killers to play safe.
Now, I don't anymore, killers have their lunge attack back and it can be used from far away with absolutely zero risk.
It's not whether you'll be fine or not, it's that some complexity of the Dead By Daylight gameplay went away and it's a net loss for absolutely everyone.

Spine Chill, DS, Iron Will and Kindred.
SC will be exchanged by something else like Premonition (I hate ghost face) or something completely different. And DS will be changed to OTR
