People did not use CoB because they had stronger perks. Ruin, Pop was best regression perks and both them nerfed. I think CoB will be seen more in trials.

In the 2 years I've been playing, all I've played is solo q. You can still very easily have a good game despite the rng and potatoes.

Do people honestly believe that it's impossible to enjoy this game as solo q? I don't mean escaping every game and such, I mean just having a good, enjoyable game.

Killer queue will always be instant lol, because survivor will ALWAYS be the more chill and fun experience. Survivors have the biggest advantage in the game, that is map design. Anyways, bye!

It is certainly not good for wasting a perk slot for overcharge.

Ruin + Pop wasn´t a combo though. It was a safety net. Because one perk can´t work, while the other is alive. A build with the mindset of losing Ruin was and still is a terribly inefficient idea.
CoB + Pop was in every aspect superior for gen slowdown. Yet it didn´t turn into meta. Just like CoB + Overcharge won´t make it into meta. At least not for longer than a couple of weeks.
Solo queue isn´t in that bad spot you think it will be with the upcoming patch. Don´t worry to much about it. BT is still strong. OTR still gives a second/third health state as long as the survivor doesn´t touch anything and MoM still combos with it.

I'm not sure about that one.
Overcharge is trash now, way overnerfed and can be countered by tapping the gen (which is dummy easy). It was already a little overrated, now it's just bad. You regress even slower for 12 seconds.
COB wasn't used before, using 2 perk slots for 2 bad perks that both get countered the same way won't make them meta.

Have fun with repairing gens for 4 minutes and getting tunneled out the game within the first 30 seconds!

Base-kit BT... Well it depends on which killer you're against. 5 seconds endur and haste is not a joke you know?=)
Absolutely agree about ds... Tunneling should be punished. 5 second stun was good, idk why they changed it to 3... Even with M1 killers it's fine to have 5 second stun, if they want to tunnel.

They might as well partner with Discord at this point. Solo queue is dead. :( I could switch to Killer, but I think I’ll just play a different game ‘til they sort this out in 6 months.

Umm so the hook only has one way in and out....or did they change you have to run towards the Killer when unhooked

Basement should never be a safe place for survivors. It's your fault for being down there.

The only way to fix camping is to attack it directly. I think a great fix for it would be healthy survivors can't get grabbed when unhooking. It's still a trade but they can get the unhook at least. Or making the hook timer slow down when the killer is within 12 meters of the hooked survivor.
yeah whole facecamping aspect really does suck. maybe they could make a perk where you go intangible when unhooking similar to old dead hard. It would still be hook trade.

No, I would say that BT was generally considered one of the strongest Survivor perks for the entirety of its existence (including before it was nerfed from its initial incarnation and each time it was buffed since then).

Because chase for survivor got severely nerfed? Stuns got nerfed, pallets got nerfed, breakable walls as a slowdown got nerfed.. lol????? Even gens got SEVERELY nerfed for survivors, and considering that hatch only spawns for 1 survivor, why would the meta NOT be gen rush?

I'll remember that next time I get an iron grasp and agitation killer. Its my fault.
Not to mention the times you have no choice but to run to the area where the basement is, like shack, because you have no other looping options. Many maps have dead zones. Like Shelter Woods.

One thing is running the perk because it's good, another is running it because you face campers 9 out of 10 matches. If you knew camping wouldn't be possible, no one would pick BT.

I hope this happens, SWF is a ... (C word) for this game.
If 99% of SWF leaves, that means survivors doesn´t play because they like DBD, just because they like to abuse omega broken perks and now they cant ^^ Glad to see them leaving by tons, I open the door if you need

then for the same logic we should punish also genrushers and bodyblockers... it's too much easy think only about the survivor's fun without considering that the killer is a player like the other who deserve to have fun... i can agree that those tactics are annoying sometimes, but this is how is the game right now: if you want punish those kind of player then you should also punish people who play in a fully SWF with meta perks and rush gens, even in the killer's face without the slightest sign of fear, bodyblock with perks that weren't made to get a free hit but to have a chance to escape from a killer (BT protection hits) and people who abuse certain map loadouts that are unfair to say the least (for example the house in the garden of joy is literally an infinite, just like one house in haddonfield with 3 ######### windows)... if they will ever do those things you can rightfully complain about camping and tunneling and asking changes, but until those problems are still present in the game those tactics can stay imo

Sucks that it took to page 5 for someone to mention these base buffs to killers. Everyone is just comparing killer and survivor perk changes, when IMO the changes you mentioned are going to be worse. If too many people are getting downed too quickly, solo q is going to turn from getting gens done to who can get hatch. No one likes when the last two survivors hide and don't touch gens, but I predict it's going to happen more often.

It's not like killers are happy either, sure 10seconds on a gen is cool but all the gen defense got nerfed mega hard. That 10second per gen is only 2.5 pops and the gen regression nerfs wont make up for that.
Survivors get base BT, BASE BT with haste... that's nearly a free escape from basement not to mention how long OTR lasts.
Survivors have the better side of this for sure, the changes arent good enough to make me wanna play killer again.
UNTIL IM REWARDED FOR CHASES AND HOOKS, which every survivor seems to want anyway what's the point in playing killer... killers are forced into tunnel and camping because they get 0 reward for hooks by base and gen defense keeps getting nerfed...

I don't know if I'd go that far. You can certainly do well without it. But if the goal is to maximize your chances to win with the best loadout possible, I'd say BT is more often than not going to show up in your build.

Ok what about eruption which will become basically current DMS + PR in one single perk?
And the worst part is that, unlike PR, it's unavoidable because you can't foretell when a team mate will go down. So what's the counter to losing 15% progress + being incapacitated for another 26, while the generator keeps regressing in the meantime, when you have no way to tell when a team mate will actually go down?

Might as well rename solo Q to Deathgarden. Seems to be a much more appropriate name.

You know whats the worst part about Solo?.
If you are a Killer and you are having problems you can always tank your MMR, go easy on a few games and suddenly you are against overall worse Survivors, then you can chill and stay on the same MMR or stomp, get raised, tank, rinse and repeat.
As SWF? same thing your SWF is having trouble? just suicide on first hooks until you get worse Killers then as stated above.
As Solo? if you are getting very tough Killers and you want chill games if you tank your MMR you will get worse Killers true, but you also get worse Survivors which will make your trials a living hell even if the Killer is bad, you can loop a bad Killer for a certain amount of time, eventually theyll catch you but if your teammates do nothing in that time, there is no way to have simpler, less sweaty games as Solo, either the Killers are sweating or the teammates are so bad its impossible for the Killer to not get at least 2K, the game motto is right, there is literally no escape for Solos.

Because it's very easy for people to gloss over the favourable changes to push an agenda that 'so and so' is 'broken'. Reality is, so much endurance was introduced to 'balance' out the fact that almost any incentive to elongate or pressure the killer into a chase has been removed. Decisive has been nerfed, stuns and pallets have been nerfed making looping less effective
In all honesty, the game can feel absolutely terrible as someone who has become quite the solo-queuer. All these changes that target chase, gen time and the MULTIPLE gen regression perks that are STACKABLE... This patch is the most anti-survivor patch yet, I believe. Not to forget all the previous nerfs that survivors have been receiving over the last two years. Hatch, increasing gen time, every single meta perk receiving nerfs (eg. OOO getting nerfed out of the meta), removable of infinites, reduction of pallets/windows in general, map size reductions.. so on
The killers have only gotten stronger and stronger - Not to mention that Killers also have a power addition to their kit. You can run the meta perks and meta killer, that is double the advantage that a survivor may have. The biggest change that survivors received that was truly positive were the boons, but they've created all sorts of complications and clashes with previously established totem perks too.

BT doesn't disable tunneling, or camping. It only prevents an immediate down. The killer can STILL camp, the killer can STILL tunnel that survivor. It simply elongates the chase and gives the survivor a fleeting chance of making it out but considering that chase has been considerably nerfed (for survivors) and buffed for killers... lol
