new Bloodpoint cap 2 Million
Its long overdue but finally we got a raise. BHVR, are you considering to increase that even more? I think 5 or 10 Million would be much more reasonable

1 million blood point being redundant honestly need addressing more than just raising the cap
1 -
what do you mean exactly?
0 -
It shouldn't exist in general, no cap is the only good "cap".
9 -
That's unrealistic. Variables only go so high before it's seriously not worth the effort.
0 -
I mean 500 Million would be then "no cap" because most people dont even reach so much over years. I have been playing since 2016 and according to BHVR leadboard I earned 700 Million BP total. Noone is going to hoard that much

If there is no shard cap, there can be no bloodpoint cap.
1 -
how do you know there is no shard cap? Could be capped at 1 million, noone reached that much
1 -
I think the cap in general is pretty redundant.
Especially since you can go over it anyway with codes and rewards and such.

Patch notes in 2.0.0.
"The maximum cap for the Shards has been removed"
0 -
ohh, when the shop released. Who knows, maybe there is still a secret cap. And they say "removed" because noone can reach it anyway
0 -
Nah i’m fine with 2 million being the cap.
0 -
why are you fine with it? and why would it bother you if it was higher?
0 -
And what is the highest amount of shards you've ever seen?
0 -
I am sure you were fine with 1 million being the cap too. I think this matters more for people who care.

around 200k by a streamer. I think Angrypug?

exactly. But since he has no benefit he has to destroy if for everyone else even with no downsides for him. Love those people

I dont think a cap is a bad thing. 2 mill seems decent
0 -
Why not just remove the cap, if someone wants to hoard 10m, go ahead and grind.
0 -
why do you think that?

While I agree that there shouldn't be a cap, mainly just on the grounds of why is it even a thing? Lol like it serves no purpose.
Me personally though I've never hit 1 million earned bp. I've always invested it almost immediately. Even when it's just end of the month bonuses. It gets spent immediately lol but that's my own personal thing and everyone is different

"We doubled the cap and cut in half your rate at earning bloodpoints!"
3 -
I'd never spend my BP otherwise

No answer lauraa? Seems like even with over 2k posts in the forum you fail to bring a logical point.

Caps exist because of these things called variables that store your numbers. Those variables have limits to how big of a number or string they can store. My reason for pointing out the highest shards is to point out how you aren't likely to have anywhere near as many shards as you do blood points, so "removing" its cap isn't anywhere near a big deal. Blood points accumulate way faster and are much more likely to hit some kind of stored variable limitation. Consider the fact that the game does need to be able to support console limitations as well and I don't think it is a stretch to say that uncapped bloodpoints is a ridiculous request.

I'm in a position right now where grade reset put me at 2.5 mil (i was capped before the reset happened). I have nothing I'd want to spend bloodpoints on right now so if I play I won't get any BP unless I spend most of it. I'd rather save them for when the new update comes out so I can prestige.
So in my specific situation, I'd say even 2 mil isn't enough. It's a start, but realistically 3-5 mil is probably a better cap to set it at. BHVR is always a bit behind when it comes to catching up with the bloodpoint economy, it took them forever to increase the grade reset rewards to 1 mil per survivor/killer.
There's not much of a reason to have a cap now anyway. When new DLC comes out people will already have most perks on the new characters due to the new prestige system, so all they'll gain is trying to get bloody cosmetics and perk charms.. which isn't that big of a deal. Besides, people take the best routes in their tomes to save bloodpoints for the next dlc, and they save bloodpoints obtained through Twitter codes. Might as well increase the cap even more

My current bloody points are at 1 901 000 and before the raise came in I had 1, 300 000 odd because the endless gifts don't recognise the blood level cap
I have now long levelled up all the survivors whose teachable perks I want and unlocked those for my two mains Felix and Yui. Even the new prestige system feels pointless to me for the same reason.
I've also got countless items for both of them (at last count I had 40+ yellow med packs, 60+ brown med packs and tool boxes etc) and if I rub perks like Plunderers or Appraisal coupled with Built To Last, which is my bread and butter at the moment, I don't even need to take anything in with me.
Those 1,901,000 are going to sit there stagnant until another survivor or killer comes along whose perk Iwant and even then I will likely be able to get it before the count goes below 1 mil.
For long term players bloodpoints become redundant. Especially with how much of a fan BHVR are of throwing them round like confetti every time they make a small mistake.
I'd honestly prefer more rewards linked to shards to be worked on personally. That's the real reward for long term players.

I did, actually. Look harder.

Didn't bp used to not have a cap? Or did i just never reach the cap before they capped bp at 1mil?
0 -
Just... spend the BPs?
0 -
A lot of people are already hoarding BP in old tomes. When I get all perks on all killers with new patch, then I'll have to do the same.

a 32-bit number (thats 4 bytes) can be as large as 2,147,483,647...
that is literally close to unreachable. nobody is gonna get 2 billion bp and even then they could say "the cap is 2 billion" and literally nobody would complain
there is always a cap but this cap is near unreachable

Unsigned int64 max value is 18446744073709551615.
It would take you over 500k years to reach this even if you would get 1 million BPs each second.

I'd rather not keep spending some BP once I hit cap on stuff that I don't want (so I can keep playing & also get points) while waiting for an upcoming chapter because there is a cap.
I'm not sure why you even asked that, there's no downside to having no cap.
0 -
So what, u just spend nothing? Ever again? What's the purpose of BP then
0 -
As I said, I hit cap, spend a little until I hit cap again as I save up for chapters because I have everything in the game currently. It gets annoying, having no cap would solve that. No iri shard cap, so the same should be for BP, no downsides.
0 -
Good but still not enough. You can go very fast from 0 to 2 million with codes, rewards, games. It should be at least 3 million.
0 -
But it's really not hard to grind 1 mill (or 2 mill), so you can spend as much as you want until they announce a new chapter, and start preparing
0 -
Never said it was hard, just saying that it was annoying.
