Lethal Pursuers buff is life 2 perks in one
Lethal pursuers was already semi-frequently used perk before this patch. It was seen often enough to be noticeable.
Not only that, but giving it a buff to the duration of all other auras feels like it's now 2 perks in 1. This kind of effect seems like it should be a separate perk altogether, similarly how the perk "Open Handed" is purely an aura buff, with no other effects.
If Open Handed has the effect of increasing aura ranges of survivors by 16 meters, then it would make sense to make a new, separate perk out of "Extend the duration of a Survivor's Aura being revealed to you by +2 seconds."
The logic behind this, is that a majority of survivor aura perks are effective at a certain range, so Open Handed directly buffs these other perks. For killer perks, a majority of aura reading perks are effective for a certain duration, in which case extending the duration by +2 seconds would fit as a killer equivilent of "open handed", and should be it's own separate perk rather than being put onto lethal pursuer.

This isn't how the game works. Many perks have secondary effects and just because a killer perk is changed doesn't mean a survivor one has to be changed in turn.

Survivors have 16 Perks, the Killer has 4.
Having a Killer Perk with 2 effects isn't the end of the world

I agree changing one doesn't necessarily mean the other also has to be changed. But I also feel like Lethal Pursuer didn't need to be changed at all. It also doesn't change that I feel like an aura enhancing perk like this would fit as it's own perk, as part of a full aura reading build to easily locate survivors.
Lethal Pursuer was already a semi-frequent perk, used often enough to where you watch out for it at the start of matches.
Since the latest patch has done a lot to "change the meta", it seems out of place to buff an already popular perk.

it s not OP
the secondary effect is not OP
it is simply not an issue

And yet Pain Resonance...

It was hardly popular. Niche on killers with mobility and that's about it.
not even in the top twelve. The secondary effect makes it fit into way more builds and make it a more versatile and interesting perk.

There are 97 killer perks in total, so top 12 is only top 12.3%, and doesn't say much since that'll be reserved for the really good meta perks.

Yes, but look at the frequency for those top perks. They vastly outclass the others by usage .More perks should always be viable and open handed already has a secondary effect that most other perks don't: it is global and affects every survivor.

that's not a secondary effect, that's the one and only effect. A secondary effect would be something unrelated to the first one. For example: "increase range of aura abilities of all survivors by 16m" together with "see the aura of xxx...."
There are a lot of things that affect the survivors as a group, since they are a team. The "affects everyone" part of Open Handed will mostly go unused or unnoticed outside of SWF groups doing something very specific. it's not a very common or even useful perk, since most survivor aura reading abilities already have a decent range.

I don't think any other perk affects every survivor globally. Oh yeah, that awful luck one. It is definitively a secondary effect, it could easily only work for the user like bond or anything else. I run windows frequently and always appreciate it when someone on my team has open handed.

Lethal Pursuer only has it's primary effect work for a maximum of 11 seconds (after the buff). It having a secondary effect is perfectly reasonable, since the perk would do its thing, then be an empty slot afterwards. Now at least it has a usage beyond the initial effect. No need to change it.

I think the buff is fine. Old lethal was overrated on most killers imo, with the exception of blight

Feel free to disagree with my opinion on the change to lethal pursuer, but by objective definition Open Handed only has 1 primary perk effect and no secondary perk effect. By your definition, perks like Kindred has secondary effects "because it affects all other survivors". The effect in case of Open Handed is "Aura Range Buff", and "affecting all survivors" isn't another effect, it is simply who the effect applies to.

2ndary effect should not affect The Perk itself.

Got its information nerfed because the devs wanted to create a new meta instead of just nerfing the OP Perks
