Garden of Joy is the worst map ever created
I hate this map so much on so many levels. I would rather play only on rpd or on the old dbd maps before they got there infinits removed.
Firstly what the hell is that for a mainbuilding? It has the worst window infinit of the whole game mixed with rooms that have 0% light (I don't know if this is a bug)
Other then that has the game the typical Shack plus 2-3 Looping buldings. But then there are gigantic death zones where the pallets are worthless. This mixed with the terrible Design of the map that you don't know where the end of the map is makes Looping a pain in the ass.
Now to totems...every map has ######### Totem spots but the spots on that map are just a bad joke. 90% of all totem spawns I saw until are completely open next to one Bush.
Oh and when we already talk about the bushes...what is wrong with them?! Trough some you can go and others have a Solid hitbox while others have a much bigger hitbox then the Bush itself.
We don't even get new maps with every chapter and when we get one then we get this? Please change the name of the map to Garden of pain. I will wait now for the "get gud" comments.

I expect to see the garden of joy get a nerf to particularly the main building, and possibly some pallets near the shack. Outside of those two it won't be that bad. Some maps have bad totems some have very very hard totem spawns, I don't think Garden of Joy totems are pretty down the middle.

It's so bad from a gameplay perspective. Way too much random clutter. The Haddonfield rework and Gardon of Joy focused too much on aesthetics. We have to play DbD on these maps too. Main building is ridiculous. And like OP said, there are portions of the map where you simply die because of complete dead zones.

I agree its not great, but Id rather play on garden of joy than RPD

I have never played on that map.
And, apparently, dodged a bullet.

No, I would rather Garden than RPD, Bahdam anytime, any day.

I like it

While I agree that Garden of Joy is bad, it’s far from the worst map ever made
that title is still shared between RCPD and Pre-rework Haddonfield

the map is similar to pre-rework infinity crotus asylum 2.0. the map has strong loops but they're somewhat far apart with a game-breaking main building. I don't really understand it because they weakened all strong infinity windows on other maps by putting breakable walls near them. Where is breakable wall on right window of this house?
I don't understand how your dying in deadzones on this map. I don't agree that the loops on this map are too weak. If anything the loops on this map are too strong.

But everyone complains about breakable walls, therefore we don't want them.

funny way of saying the game

I personally don't like it.
It's a very weird map, a lot of random, unnecessary objects that are bestrewed along the realm, unique but odd tiles, and bushes that seem as if I can walk through them. Not only that, but it's not very unique in terms of it's lay out too.

As a surv it's wonky, as killer is downright painful. Most of the map is fine, (though there is some odd geometry you'll discover in unfortunate ways while looping), but the house is pure and adulterated torture if the survs have any idea how to run it.

Any map that is big sucks

It's not that great but it's easier that RPD and some other maps.

I hate this map. It's trash to play on. Every survivor just humps the main building and you can't chase there because it's straight up throwing the game. I've also yet to see a deadzone on there, it seems like strong pallet into strong pallet. Give me RPD over this any day. At least I can cut that map in half.

It's so poorly designed.

I mean the last semi decent map the devs ever made was Midwitch, how many years ago was that?

Racoon City Police Station enters the chat

Its bad but I'd rather play on it as killer than on pallet city aka the Game, or Badham, or Cowshed.

Some one never played on old Swamp

I played slinger for like the first time in a year. Survivors sent me there. The random bits of shrubbery are apparently made of iron because they block bullets

It may be mostly because it's new and I don't have strong feel for it, but give me RPD over GoJ every day. It's that damned house.
RPD is disgustingly huge, but at least it plays fair.

I wouldn't call this map the worst (that title either goes to Badham or Eyrie) but it still sucks.
When i played on this map as Demo i saw side window from main building go and connect to window from another loop. And there was another loop like 5m away from this bs.
And as you said mate, hitboxes are so rough, i played against quite good bubba player and he bumped like 7 times just becouse of hitboxes.
This map is a mess. As survivor this map feels clunky to play on, as killer rng can be very spicy and main building feels like it was pulled right from old haddonfield.
God after 6 years Bhvr still cannot make decent, balanced maps.
Impressive.

*Ahem* RPD exists, you know... So no. Garden of Joy isn't the worst map.

I don't get how dev pumping out bad maps while rather slowly fixing maps, I thought they kinda understood what's problematic about them?

Garden of Joy is bad, but RPD is hands down the worst map in the game, right alongside Midwich and Badham Preschool. Hate those 3 maps.

some more things about the map:
- it is not randomly generated enough, everything is static meaning that both survivor and killer just know where everything is, taking a way some skill
- the jungle gyms next to shack have short walls meaning you cant mindgame as big killers meaning they are 100% safe for good players
- bamboozle does not work on the main building if the survivor plays it smart as they can take a different window and then use the OP one as soon as it runs out
- the train is a ######### window instead of a good loop and that breaks me inside
- the shack has random garbage around it, making you get stuck on it sometimes as both roles
- 1 door nearly always spawns on shack side, making it totally safe to open
- if you are decent at survivor you can connect any loop together to reach the main building to abuse the window
