SoloQ + Survivor is fine
Seeing a lot of complaints on here about survivor being unplayable at the moment and I really don't understand it.
I've been playing SoloQ and have escaped 8 out of 11. Gens are still flying pretty fast because I've been using Prove Thyself and going out of my way to find other survivors working gens. I've also been using Lightweight, Lithe and Windows of Opportunity.
I know every game is different and it depends on killer and survivor skill, but it really isn't as bad as people are making out.

It's too soon to judge it, but I would also say I think people bit overreacting.

People are definitely overreacting as we have with every update (People we’re saying fast track, For the people and soul guard would be OP on the PTB for example)
We just need to see in a couple of days when people figure more stuff out

I think soloq will start to get a bit more difficult when the new tome comes out and everyone is focusing on their challenges rather than gens, but otherwise it shouldn't be too bad.
The only annoying thing is I keep pressing the button to Dead Hard when I don't even use it anymore.

Somebody escaped 8 of 11? I have 4k hours and I would love that escape rate right now tho. My Solo-q games was a bit tuff.
Killers I was playing plague, 16 games since yesterday update, no one team did 5 gens against me. Usually they did 2-3 gens.

5,735 hrs on record here and I don't escape 8 out of 10 matches in solo q either. Kinda weird isnt it?

He shouldn't have called you a liar, but he's not wrong, most of us do not have that kind of escape rate at the moment and we can't all be potatoes.

This arguing and name calling isn't helping anything. I agree with you that the patch went too far towards the killer side, but if someone shares their personal experience there's no reason to attack them for it.

I didn't attack them initially though, I asked them to provide gameplay so we can all become good players like them and he called me salty, so there's that

The biggest problem in SoloQ is not that patch, the biggest problem are the non-existing teammates, hiding in corners, staying stubborn at their gens and let u go into 2nd stage or even dying first hook. Or they just covi directly.
But this is an issue BHVR cant fix with a patch.

Being able to free 2 perk slots to use other perks in solo q would be a big help. I wish I could use something else instead of kindred and bond but they're basically a necessity in solo q so yea.

I know it is an M rated game, but it is probably best that you lower your expectations regarding the level of civility and discourse that you're going to find here.
Mods are usually pretty good at taking care of business if people go too ham, though.

I went 5/11 in my games as Survivor, yesterday.....had a few blowouts due to first down DCs/yeets on hook, but I still performed well.
As Killer
I had a 4 escape as Freddy (meme build of Fire Up/BS/Bamboozle/STBFL)....lots of crazy/good OTR/BT plays by those guys, especially a couple of insane ones using the speed boost from BT to swoop in and tank hits at the last second. Could probably have camped/tunneled a kill or two, but I tried to play 'fair' in my games to see how it played out. Although it was a 4E it was still a 10/10 game for me.
Second game, I got a kill and had 2 more on death hook....my Freddy MMR is high, though, so I think this performance post patch with a meme build/with the plays being made was fine.
Switched to Leatherface....also one of my high MMR killers. Ran Corrupt/STBFL/Bamboozle/Deadlock. First game was a normal game. Good loopers, interesting use of SB by someone after a ledge drop, one person burnt a pallet to Lithe as I was catching up, etc - all neat plays. 2k/2e.
Second game, was looped for two gens, got a down, they DCed. Two hooked everyone else and let them escape.
Played one game of Trickster - Speedhacking Feng team.
Tried Nemesis with Deadlock/Plaything/STBFL/Pentimento...
Played against a group that includes a dude I've seen enough to know by name from Quebec. God tier looper without exhaustion perks, dodging tentacle hits like they're nothing (even with wiggle/area drag). His pal was also a god at misdirection, taken advantage of double lockers to force guessing games with Elodie's perk with Head On coming for a wrong guess. Also good at looping/using said perk in chase. Both also used Lightweight...they were great. Quebec guy's pal ended up getting killed at the very end.....after the most insane locker play mid chase that lead to an Inner Healing proc into Head On during EGC. They both said it was one of the best/most fun games they've ever had, and I was honestly very happy to hear that.
New patch seems to be business as usual for me, but my solo mmr will probably suffer because people are just instantly giving up without even trying :(

escaping 8/11 is just a proof how unbalanced game still is, killers should recieve way more buffs.

Soloq will be easy af when the new tome comes out because lots of people cant play nurse or blight, notoriously high skill floor killers.

The only way you can escape 8 out of 11 games is if you hide in a corner and wait for the hatch with a purple key... or that you're matched with SWF... or that you're not really a solo Q survivor.
I have thousands of hours into this game and, yes, I am a bit more lazy now than what I was a couple of years ago so I chill and goof more, but that sort of escape rate wasn't even real before the patch.

You're lying, it's not being salty. You're not escaping 80% of the time. I've played 11 matches, escaped four times. The 33 survivors I've been paired with, have also escaped four times. Total. That's 8 escapes, 36 deaths. 18% escape rate, and my 36% escape rate is absolutely carrying that figure.

Ah yes, 'my survive rate is this, so yours must be wrong argument'. Absolutely hilarious the amount of cynical and judgemental children there are on this forum. I couldn't care less if you believe me or not, I have nothing to prove, I'm simply sharing my own in game experience and am loving the update so far.

The problem isn't about Killer/Teammate skill. Most of the time both maybe avarage.
The problem is the game now fully depant on the "killer mood" if its against solos. If he tunnel with 5 gens nothing can stop them. if he tunneled mid-match nothing can stop them. If he don't want to tunnel and want a chill game he can do it.
With the killing of DS and making gens last longer. Proxy camp/Tunnel never been stronger. Thus why many should only play as SWF or just play Killer.

What is the survival rate of your solo queue teammates? You haven't mentioned that. I mentioned the survival rate of my teammates. It's 12%. If the survival rate of your teammates is 80%, you've been playing baby killers.
The devs made the update to boost kill rates, in their own words. You're escaping 80% of the time. Is that an outlier? Is it sustainable? Are you not telling the truth?
