3 second DS is awful

Presently, the only viable anti tunnel perk you can run is Off the Record, and 1 unfortunate side effect of this is that OTR has a tell. Survivors with it have no grunts of pain. This means killers who can ignore DS like Nurse, Blight, Demo, Clown, Deathslinger, ect. can literally just turbo tunnel anyone off the hook as long as they make grunts of pain because they have no reason to fear DS and know they don't have OTR.

This will create a meta where you HAVE to run OTR because anyone who doesn't become an instant target for the killer.

Hell, even killers that DO care about DS like trapper can do the same because hardly any people actually run DS

Literally just had a match where I had this happen. I was the first to be hooked, but had OTR. Came off the hook and the killer went to follow me for a second but when they heard no grunts they just turned around and went to chase the dude who unhooked me instead. That dude proceeded to get hooked 3 times in a row and die at the 4th hook of the match.

There needs to be a good anti tunnel perk with no tell, it actually improves build variety because survivors don't feel shoehorned into running OTR if the threat of DS is enough to dissuade a tunneling killer.

DS does need its 5 second stun back, but neither DS nor OTR are supposed to stop tunneling, they're supposed to slow it down

Agreed. Or 4 seconds, but removes Nurses, Blights and Spirits charge on their power, begins recharging once stun is over. That would be very balanced I think. But it's not great design to make special rules for certain killers.

But that was the point. We were all tired of the same meta perks, they had to nerf it in this way or people would still use it all the time.

I feel like most of us we're more sick of dead hard more than any other perk.

Exactly. They've shown time and time again that these little slap-on-the-writs nerfs don't stop anyone running the perk. Something major like this was the only thing that was going to be good enough to make people think "maybe it's not a perk I should bring every single match."

The goal of the patch was to shuffle what perks are used commonly, not to have the same perks be used every match but feel a little worse to use.

the 3 sec stun is a joke. if the killer decides to tunnel you, now he can kill you even faster.

the joke is: when i use ds now, I will get tunneled for sure, cause I dont gain any distance after the stun...

before this patch the kilelr often left me after using my ds. Now they go after me in 10 outa 10 cases

    epic DBD...

Its possibly the worst change they made this patch.
