My game experience is ruined and not by killers...

To be clear, I play solo. Almost exclusively, in fact. Yes, the solo queue experience sucks, will continue to suck, and has always sucked.

For the most part, my games are the same. Yeah, terrible, but the same sort of solo queue. But there is ONE glaring issue that is driving me mad.

It's the constant disconnects! People are just DC-ing at the slightest inconvenience.

I had a game 3 minutes ago. A Blight downed a Kate at 4 gens, and he has 2 hooks... and she immediately DCs.

I played killer and had a Claudette WALK in front of me with OtR. Not in the "I give up" way, but the "haha, you can't touch me" way. Buuuut, I was playing Bubba. She and her friend immediately DC-ed when I reminded her that Bubba is a multi-hit killer.

Yes, gens are 10 seconds faster. There's no more Ruin, no more Pop, and plenty of healing options to counter Thana. I'm genuinely annoyed because everyone is just being a baby and disconnecting.

The DCs are the hardest part of playing solo for me, like I'm still escaping almost half the time by being selfish at endgame but when a match starts and someone DCs almost immediately or the first person downed immediately starts giving up on first hook it makes it really tough to do stick with it, especially when the killer wants to actually play the game too and it becomes a 3min match with one halfways decent chase.

Yep. DCers are the worst part of playing survivor... always has been.

Whenever people push for removing the DC penalty, I just remember all the times in recent memory where it's been shut off and shudder.

This has been my experience as well. Games are great until someone throws a fit and DC.

I have also seen instant DC with Legion as the killer.

Maybe they should make the first penalty longer than 5 minutes. I consider it a freebie

Every Solo Q player experiences the D/C at first down I think. When it happens in my games, I just try to get the most BPs I can out of the match.

Tbh, the d/c's don't bother me quite as much depending on the situation because I think Solo's are just super frustrated. When you load into the fourth match vs Legion or Plague running Thano it's just.... jfc lol. I get TEMPTED to d/c, but I try to stick around for my team mates. I get the most tempted on my third or fourth camper/tunneler knowing I won't get to really play the game, and now with the changes, no one will be able to finish gens. The feeling that I just can't take this crap anymore and I don't want to entertain the scumbag for even a second.

I also have empathy for Killers who D/C sometimes. I think we've all experienced that unique DBD frustration. Sure, we should resist it, and I usually do, but we're human after all and everyone succumbs sometimes.
