Current state of the game
After 5k hours i can finally say i dont enjoy playing the game anymore, and i dont threaten to quit or anything. i just want to voice my opinion and let people know what i think. I usually play survivor, but i play lots of killer too. Since the update, every survivor game i've played, every person hooked gets tunneled out of the game. Doesnt matter if they have ds, Of the record or any other perk. They get hard tunneled. Even if people try taking hits, the killer just ignores them and tunnels. It has gone to the point where playing surviivor is just boring and unfun.
And i'll be honest, ofc i miss dead hard. But i also completly agree that it needed to be changed. And because i knew it was getting changed, i played without it to get used to other perk builds. And it was fun. I dont care about bullying killers, or playing trash to make someone else mad. What i like about survivor is being able to last long in chase and maybe win the chase. Then work on some gens and get myself a chest to get that sweet brown medkit. And then get chased again and see if i can last as long again on a different area of the map. But that way of playing is no longer possible. Because once you are hooked, You get camped. A survivor then suicide saves you, but the killer leave them on the ground and still just go for you and tunnel you to death.
Also with the update there was alot of changes made that noone asked for. Self care got nerfed again. i never used it, but it was already a bad perk. So why change it? Boon: coh is still a thing, so people will just use that instead, and that even heals faster than old selfcare. and it can be used by multiple people if only one has the perk. And bn now have a penalty when using medkit, why? it was already bad before that nerf. and noone asked for it to change.
And with that said. I have played some killer matches as Huntress and Dredge. And i have not have a single game where the gates have been powered. 1 have escaped through the hatch a couple times, but always 3 or 2 gens left. And i dont complain about it ofc, i love getting them all. But before the update i used to get a 4k maybe 4 out of 10 games. and after the update its been 9/10. And my skills have not improved with the update. I just dont feel like i have anything to worry about when i mess up. Because gen speeds + thana + pentimento + scourge hooks helps me enough.
I personelly dont like the update as i feel survivor is unplayable and unfun. But people are ofc allowed to have other opinions. This is just my take. But hear me out, i believe the game could be fun for both killers and survivors if they just fixed the camping and tunneling issues. Because the current update without camping and tunneling could be a great thing i believe.

I think the same thing as you. I just don't miss noobhard.
The killer buffs were too much while the survivors have gain nothing. And the " buff " to prevent camping made things even worse.
I did 10 games in a row where the first hooked guy was getting camped/tunneled and there was nothing we could've done better. Gen rush was impossible with regression perks. They really should make that if the killer camps ( like the range of kindred for example ? ) The survivors gains 43141854123846184% ( why not ? ) generators repair speed and the hooked time doesn't decrease. Then I would be okay with the new changes.
As you said. Even when I win as survivor I don't feel happy. And I can 4k with my screen off as killer now. Of course not with nurse that would be too easy.
Make campers and tunnelers suffers A LOT and the game is fine as it is.

It seems like some of the killers are letting up a bit today. I’d only played two matches in which the killer tunneled the first two hooks and then eventually slugged me to hunt for the other survivor. Ironically both games involved Oni players (different ones) and both games were not fun. The slugging at the end to achieve a 4k should really be punished somehow and the slugged player should be able to bleed out faster or conceded if there on the ground more than 30 seconds to prevent this behavior. This would give the reminding survivor a chance to hatch out when the killers attempting to block normal gameplay.
The first two days after the patch though, forget about it. I’d given up entirely on SoloQing and switched over to being a killer, trying not to be a jerk in the process (only switching that stance when playing a toxic survivor). That being said, with the exception of one game where I was playing Bubba the first time, every game was a 4k or would’ve been a 4k if I didn’t let the last survivor go. Eventually, either having “no challenge” as the killer or no escapes as the survivor is what’ll out an end to the fun completely.
After taking some time to think about my strategy on the Survivor side, I’ve started running a Gen Jockey build, which seems to be the only counter to the current patch. I’m doing that, I’ve been able to escape more often, even achieving a few 3-4 man escapes, but this is only possibly when the killer isn’t tunneling, face camping and slugging. Unfortunately this kinda sucks as it takes alway a lot of the “build variety” this patch was suppose to offer.
