Legion feels like a hostage situation
This is worse than Forever Freddy!
Legions stacking dying light, thana, call of brine, overcharge (or some variant) with iridescent regression or mending add ons. By the time you've mended your gen has lost more progress than you can make up by the time they come back to your generator (assuming you AND your teammates hit every single overcharge skillcheck!). This is especially a headache in solo queue because if even ONE player isn't pulling their weight it' s impossible to get gens done at all, and that's assuming your teammates aren't repeatedly going down and feeding the killer multiple pop goes the weasels, jolts or pain resonances.

The solution is you have to suck it up and adapt. Try running mostly useless generator perks that offer little relief and hope for the best? Or play with three other people? Just whatever you do is don't DC or suicide because your enjoyment is secondary to The Legion, who just wants to have fun running four slow-down perks.

It feels more like being stuck in a very crowded train for a very looooong trip. You know it will eventually be over, but man is it unpleasant (there's probably also that one person that unwraps one of those nasty sandwhiches that fills the place with a horrible stench to make everything worse)

It is so bad that now people are giving up as soon as they see Legion regardless of their perks. I had one just now where I had to do 3 and a half gens, but that was all I could do before the survivors were done throwing. And he beat me on hook for some reason. π’

I don't condone giving up or dc'ing but I can't say I blame them! Forever Freddy was 1/10th of the headache this is and people sure disconnected against that build immediately, too!

I understand this pain, while DC/RQing is excessive, I'd see it is a little justified given how easily a legion can get 4 stacks of thana under a minute. Not entirely fair to the survivors who have to put up with killers who want to run slowdown perks, any reason or not. Just move on.

Great sarcasm π

"This is worse than Forever Freddy!" It seem you didnt played back when freddy used to have 35% passive slowdown for free by running just 2 addons , and + Old thana that used to affect healing speeds back them aswell + dying light + old Ruin + POP , almost up to 75% slowdown by just playing freddy ,that was waaay more BROKEN compared to legion , yeah mending is not fun but people keep overeacting for no reason , spread out , 99% your mending , only heal the guy that is gonna go for unhooks simpleπ.
The only thing that need a change is that awful purple addon that increases mending , boring to use and to play against no doubts

Ah yes I will 99% my mending while I simeltaneously work on a generator, surely I will not bleed out!
I am not exaggerating the regression of legion; call of brine, overcharge and fuming mixtape alone will do 400-500% regression on your generator while you mend! (Add ons to prolong mending aswell!) That is *at least* double old ruin speed! This isn't accounting the additional progress you have to compensate if the killer has thana, dying light or pentimento! Also - missing the overcharge skillcheck (which randoms do over and over again) and base 2.5% regression is INSANE!!!!

Also Legion counters BT, Off the Record and Dead Hard. This needs a re-work

Thats... a very pungent and fitting description for the whole Legion blunder.

I am admittedly one of the people that just won't play against a Legion if I see Thana. I'll sit on my gen til I'm pulled off and go to the next because I ahve work tomorrow and I'd rather be able to play 4 rounds in an hour instead of just one miserable one.

I am a survivor main, and sadly I have to agree with you. Legion was very fun to go against after their slight rework and new music. I enjoyed the matches because the gen slowdown wasn't the intentional meta, and most of them would run other builds. This is just my experience, though, and I wouldn't want to discredit anyone who had a different one.
The majority of new matches against Legion since 6.1 have gone pretty much one way if the player chose a gen speed meta build: the matches either take 3 minutes, or 30 minutes. There hasn't been much in between, on my end. I cannot imagine this is the type of experience BHVR wants for its player base. Granted, I recognize a few things:
β’ Not every match will be with a Legion, but when it is, I find myself (and I try to be an upbeat, optimistic person) almost instantly losing all of my excitement for a new match. This isn't a generalized feeling I think the developers want players to experience when going against a killer that is pretty popular
β’ Not every Legion will run slow down meta builds, but when they do......................
β’ I personally don't agree with the "bring counter meta perks" argument. That isn't the point of this topic. The point of this topic is that in many new situations with Legion as the chosen killer, as a whole, is causing fundamentally un-fun gameplay for the survivor's side. An "unhealthy" type of hopelessness instead of a "thrilling" type, if that makes sense.
I'll still play and when those matches occur, I try to change my outlook from "Ok, gotta try and make it out!" to, "Ok, gotta try and get as many blood points as possible before someone DCs or quits!" Lol. The former is much more fun.
