Yeah about that... The 0,5% difference between 80 seconds and 90 seconds is... drumroll a whooping 0,45 second increase.
If all 4 survivors are injured and everyone stays on his own gen then the total increase from the 0,5% buff is: 3,8 seconds.

My last match. 3 spawn at the same location. 2 of us start the gen next to the spawn and the 3rd one was afk. Of course, Huntress came checking where the afk crow notification came from. The moment he was downed he disconnected.

The 50 overall seconds of the 90-second gens. People say, "but you didn't factor in slowdown, so it's actually longer." We didn't factor that in before, so why start now?

But thats not 50 seconds. Its 4 survivors. Not a single one who has to do all 5 gens alone.

115 seconds with 4 stacks of Thana vs 100 pre update is a huge buff. Doesn't matter if it's baked into the base gen speed or Thana. The combination is way stronger than it was before.

That's what I'm saying! People just blanket statement "the gens take WAY too long, bro." They're getting scared by looking at the numbers, and just like they were with pre-nerf Overcharge, they aren't understanding how insignificant those numbers are.

I love your positivity. The forums desperately needs this. Also, been doing good myself in solo Q. MMR is rebalancing and you're moving in the direction intended. Everyone is. Unfortunately, many who needed OP perks as crutches to get to high MMR are now losing a lot and will until they're adjusted, like we're winning a lot to adjust. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one moving up on survivor solo Q. And did I say I love your positivity. 😀

Oh nevermind then. Yeah, people got scared by the Overcharge + CoB numbers of 500% gen regression without realizing that the repair speed of a single survivor is 400%.

The Legion rework was just a couple of months ago and there was much wailing and crying about Legion and Thanatophobia back then, even with 20% Thanatophobia, 80 second generators, and old Dead Hard working with Deep Wound.

MMR is wonky. If you didn't use any of the meta perks, or possibly just DS, prior to the patch then your MMR probably hasn't changed and your games just got better since there are so many options and OTR is so much better than prepatch DS.
Once MMR settles and people adapt more things will improve. Last night, as an example, I had a match where there wasn't enough chase pressure applied, every survivor knew what they were doing and it was a 4E in six minutes. It was super fast.
If people refuse to adapt to the changes, though, that's on them if they won't try out new strategies.

You guys need to stop conveniently forgetting all the basekit buffs killer got.

Cooldown time after a successful hit has been reduced to 2.7 seconds (was 3 seconds)
Time to kick a generator has been reduced to 1.8 seconds (was 2 seconds)
Time to kick a pallet or wall has been reduced to 2.34 seconds (was 2.6 seconds)
Duration of the Survivor speed boost when hit has been reduced to 1.8 seconds (was 2 seconds)
These tiny changes may help an M1 killer catch up to you a second faster after kicking a generator, hitting you once, or breaking a pallet, but they absolutely do not turn the tables on you and completely change the would be outcome of a potential chase.

I haven't but the basekit buffs aren't that bad and Killers needed QoL improvements. The game might be worse for you because you haven't changed your build. Have you considered swapping out Bond or Kindred for Off the Record? It might help.

Maybe accept some people have different experience.
I had a session last night with one of the forum members and we escaped majority of our games. At least 60%. No comms either.
Sometimes I also made huge mistakes but we managed.
I just don't see how surv is dead at all and can't understand how everyone is dying every game. It is either exaggeration or I dunno. I am also rusty by not playing much.
I played ace with iw and no exhaustion majority of the games too. I don't even think exhaustion is needed.
This is why I can't stand this forum currently and don't feel like posting and interacting.
It is either join everyone in their hive mind and don't admit your experience is different or get attacked for it.

I think the devs said BT basekit was to reduce tunneling which it does but only to a small degree. Now if you want to say basekit BT should be strengthened or DS should also be basekit or at least apply on both hooks I'm 100% in agreement but the patch has made it so, when I get tunneled, I last longer than I did pre-patch. That makes my games more enjoyable.

I played by myself too and had similar experience. I mentioned that session because it is more recent and lasted longer. I never played swf until recently btw (and it is 2man). And it is not comms so how is that bad? Unless you want to tell me that it is survs fault for losing? Isn't the killer op now?
You guys also play swf occasionally but still complain and you even use comms.

I don't complain when I swf though.
My complaints are about solo. And fun fact, I actually play solo 99% of the time, actual solo, unlike you and the thread's OP who mention solo experience while playing duo.

Playing duo feels more like soloQ than actual swf with a full squad.
You cant communicate with the other 2 and it makes a big difference.
I agree 3swf feels like playing a full squad if the 4th is not bad.
But duo experince feels more like soloQ.
Anyway I play soloQ too.

How is 2man swf without comms different than solo?
I also play solo most of the time since I started. Like I said I only duo'd recently and this was my third time. Third time in 4 years.
And yeah completely ignore my solo q experience lol which is not that different. It's like 50% escape rate and I am not even good.
And also ignore how you try to say that it's survs who are bad not the state of the game.
If 2man no comms change the game so dramatically compared to solo q, what does that means?

It is quite different,
You know you can rely on your team mates to at least be of a similar skill as you.
They do gens, they dont let you to die on hook, you can coordinate perks etc.
I will ignore your "solo q experience" when it was already stated in this thread that OP lied since they were only playing duo and not solo.

People complained simply, because they were matched only against Legion during a week. That dropped off quickly though.

I want to know where this version of dbd you are playing is. Regression is over? Where? Every killer I run into now essentially has 3 or 4 slowdown or regression perks.

Yeah just 0.5%. How about we ignore the tons of complaints that were already there after legions rework, and the extra added gen time, the faster m1 cooldown, the faster breaking pallets, decreased survivor sprint length, nerfed endurance stacking, nerfed DH (which was a HUGE legion counter).
but yeah.... its just the 0.5% that got people rolling.

ah yes, the killer buffs made the survivors dumber. They were clearly too much.
By your own admission, some survivors just need to stop being idiots. That has nothing to do with the killer changes. You can't fix stupid. They just can't get away with being bad and still wining as much as before.

Hello @Anara Absolutely right, and I enjoy the Solo Q as well. It's a lot of fun. Of course there are a few psychopaths now and then, but that doesn't matter and is part of it and normal. One more thing to all the critics here who complain about Solo Q and spam the forum with it.
You will eventually get used to all the changes, no matter how often you complain or cry.

I think you have never played killer before.
I play since 2018 and yes the game has never been balanced as it is now.
Its not perfect but its the best version of dbd right now.

I'm inclined to agree with this.
I think the latest changes brought DBD back to what it was envisioned to be.
Threatening killer chases scared survivors. Hide and seek get away at all costs. Its a refreshing change both as killer and survivor.
Over the next couple of weeks as all the can't adapt to change DC/complainers get sorted downward it should pan out pretty well.
Were killers a lil over tuned, maybe but not by enough where its game breaking IMO.
I think a lot of players relied on the limited viability of some killers and now that those limitations have been attenuated to some extent, it turns out people aren't as good at the game as they thought they were. Which is fine but ego bruising for a lot of them hence the wave of negativity.
