Regarding Solo Queue
When I started playing back in 2019, I greatly favored playing killer, learning new strats, techniques, and coming up with builds on all the characters that really stuck with me. My role ratios were about 80:20 of killer vs survivor playtime.
Eventually it gravitated to a more balanced 60:40 once I grasped all the killers I wanted to play and cared about cranking out challenges, plus I got to test my skills and knowledge against other players as the opposite side (playing chicken with Wraiths/Legion at pallets, juking Pyramid Head attacks, holding W against Doctor) more often.
After escaping enough games to finally hit the crazy Huntress/Spirit/Blight/Nurse wall I settled back into killer, as I only play solo with survivor, time goes on. Roughly 70:30 around this point.
Then the latest chapter hits, and it's a doozy, every non-competitive killer main's dream, almost everything frustrating about chase extension is basically gone. You recover faster, E is sent to Brazil, general regression is buffed, gens take longer etc.
Except now killer queue times are painful. Oh well, I can still play survivor, right? One can hope, although what I've noticed is an insane drop in teammate quality. Like utterly abysmal, plummeting into a bottomless pit type of drop. These players legitimately function like they don't know how to play the game, brand-spanking-new-baby survivors, or even worse, immersed perma-crouched players that can hardly stomach touching a gen or rescue hooked teammates.
The only way I've even managed to escape now is either a luckily timed gate opening after the hatch is shut, a serendipitous hatch, or the killer being generous enough to just let me go. This is from roughly sixty or so matches across the last three days, I also run Open Handed and Kindred in these for team wide support, so lack of information is not an acceptable answer in my mind.
TL;DR
Is it just my anecdotal experience or has the playerbase for survivor dipped in IQ by about thirty points?

A lot of survivors are upset they got nerfed and throwing games. Some are just upset and ragequit, some are actively trying to inflate the kill rates so that the devs see a reason to revert the changes.
There's a big survivor tantrum going on right now.

I didn't bring up dead hard nor did I say there weren't valid concerns nor did I say it was all survivors.
Don't put words in my mouth ty.

Or, maybe the MMR system sucks. OR maybe they are genuinely frustrated for a good reason and there actually isn't any grand Hive mind conspiracy to inflate anything.

MMR does suck, but that was true before, and there are some valid concerns. That doesn't mean what I said is also not true. I didn't bring up a hive mind nor said it was all survivors.

If you truly believe enough survivors are taking hours out of their day to purposely log into a game and throw match after match, and you believe they are doing it an organized quantity that would actually inflate Kill rates- idk what to tell you. I just can't see it personally. This whole idea was invented here on the forum and is spreading like paranoia with no evidence to back it up (at least none that I know of).
Is there evidence that survivors en masse have organized to inflate Kill rates over random Solo players being genuinely frustrated and just giving up? Maybe I missed it.

I believe a lot of survivors are just entitled and will DC just because they don't like something. Be it they went down first, got a killer they don't like, got a map they don't like, their teammates messed up one time, or in this case, that they got nerfed.
This was true before, its not new.
There's been enough people saying they want to "send the devs a msg" that its concerning, but I believe a much much larger percent of the survivor base are just not used to having the killers actually being a bit of a threat and lost a lot of their tools to get away with being dumb/bad and are upset about it.

DBD forums pretending they know what everyone meant with words that were never included to push their agenda yet again I see.

Tons of survivors were carried by Dead Hard.. Yet, people were screaming „Just wait it out! Bait Dead Hard!“.. Yeah, it wasn't that easy at all, especially while that has resulted in a pallet drop or vaulted window with no other entrances.. At that point, it was a prolonged chase by more than ~20 seconds against average players and even more against SWF premades.
This does show, how much have survivors truly relied on Dead Hard and perks alike.
Other than that.. There's a huge increase of Plagues and Legions.. Sometimes even Nurses, but those are quite rare. You aren't gonna encounter any other killer, unless the killer is a true casual player, who plays for fun and doesn't mind losing a match per a time.. Which is quite rare nowadays, or I'm getting too old already..
You've literally described Solo Queue in a nutshell, to be honest. It was always like this, but not to such a great extent as at the current moment. I guess, ranking up in MMR will grant me serious survivors, who don't DC or suicide on their first hook.. Luckily, hopefully..

Killers don't like that survivors are using pages out of there 2017 quitters play book.

If the Killer is decent, the SoloQ team is just dead. They went overboard with the nerfs and buffs and didn't differentiate between SWF and SoloQ. A well coordinated SWF can still absolutely demolish anything but the sweatiest Nurses and Blights.

No one else wants to say it, so I will. Both sides are full of entitled brats that just want the game given to them, and in my experience generally killers have been sided with far more than survivors and yes I've been playing since the beginning. The reason it seems overwhelming in the echo chambers of the survivor side is because there's more survivors to make echos.
But let's be fair they have every reason to do so. Those that have played from the beginning know they learned from killers doing it.
We also have to remember that when that many people have put a lot of money into the game they feel they have a lot more to lose when they're not being listened to or being screwed over. There's no way they're not going to be heard when money is involved. The devs can check the statistics they love so much and see that money is leaving.
Do you think they're going to listen to your money or you're whining?

Yes, Literally right here. "It's not about winning or loosing, it's about sending a message." https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3084886#Comment_3084886
I've even had this before where Survivors ran at me, I hooked them, they offed themselves on first hook. I asked "What was that about?" and the response I got was "Can't do ######### without the the old perks, so might as well just gives the Killers and the developers what they want. More kills."

Oh speak of the devil. There's the topic of my other post right now. How's the artificial inflation of Kill rates going?

that a lot of survivors are upset they got nerfed and cant get away with making bad decisions as often as before? That's what I said, that's what you quoted.
I'm not saying all survivors are mad only at DH like you're making it out to be.

HAHAHAHA! Sided with the killers my ass. You realize those survivors who "put so much money into the game" did it because they wanted toxic bully simulator right? I've been playing since the beginning myself, and can tell you can thank the old "content creators" for that. You know, OchiDO, Noob3, and the like? The ones who made being "Toxic!" popular?
Game health and good balance meant nothing. It was all about being a Toxic Bully Simulator. Though now the game is actually getting balanced, because BHVR realized DBD doesn't need to cater to that anymore. They don't need to cater to the toxic Survivor players, the ones who only played to in order to be like their "TOXIC!" idol Survivor steamer/youtuber anymore to bring in money.
The entitled brats have always been the "Toxic!" Survivor player base, where the only thing they wanted was a bully simulator, where they and their friends could gang up and make fun of someone.

Your link is to one forumer that surmised "it's about sending a message". The rest, anecdotal.
If there was a thread on Reddit where there was an organized effort to inflate Kills, I'd change my mind. But as it is, there's zero evidence anything on that sort of scale is happening. It's more likely genuine frustration, getting camped/tunneled constantly, some who are just being idiots, and in general, just a lot of upset people not giving a crap anymore.
I'm not saying the latter is good, but it's different than an organized effort by a large portion of the playerbase, yanno?
