Welcome to Dead by Daylight: Tunneling and Camping edition
I'm not sure why BHVR devs are promoting death by tunnel and camp. It sure is the strategy 99% of killers are using after 6.1.0 update and they are rewarded for it handsomely. However, player experience and fun = 5%. Console players probably 1%.
Tip to devs -- chapter releases and blood rush events don't make up for it. Try thinking of player experience instead of death by data.

I'm going to post an update from my original stance when kicking off this thread. I think the problem is very much MMR and everything else is a distraction. I'm gaining empathy with killers who only can tunnel and camp to be successful -- even as much as I hate it as survivor.
I play killer once every other week and with the update, I've played killer 13x. My experience is the exact same - always with the flashlight clicky experienced high-end players who screw with new killers like me. BHVR has just handicapped the entire survivor base to address their data obsession and so now I get more points as killer, but don't have any more fun and even less fun now as a survivor.
If BHVR spend all of their time on effective matchmaking they wouldn't need to give killers like me a handicap, which still isn't working!!! High-end players have already worked around it and lower and mid tier players are all suffering more for it. Recipe for disaster. I guarantee you a lot of lower end employees know this at BHVR and are not able to convince their leaders of this fools errand.
Reverse the update and then take away a perk slot for players with 6000+ hours (or whatever) and we'll see a better experience for everyone if BHVR doesn't know how to fix MMR.
