Xbox: flashbang perk not working

Step 1 : bought Leon for flashbangstep
2: enter trial
Step 3 : won't bring items in trial or pick any up
Step 4 : do enough gen progress to activate the perk
Step 5 : hide in locker
Step 6 : doesn't give the secondary action prompt
