I think it's the most well thought out perk rework of the whole update. They didn't gut it like they did Ruin even though it was easily the most popular exhaustion and maybe in general survivor perk in the game and honestly OP as hell. The rework still keeps it viable (in fact arguably it is better than before because of the distance you gain from being hit) while ensuring it requires a proper understanding of how the perk works to use it effectively. It's not a mindless 'press E' to extend your chase by a minute. You have to be very precise and strategic in order to get use of it, and it no longer gives you the ability to be super cocky in chases/around loops. It's perfect.
Plus it gives you the power to dab. Seeing Laurie dab is a more than welcome addition to the game for me.

No. It's too inaccessible, unfun, to use. Very boring. The survivor looks like they can't run.
This is a good example of a downgrade.

It's okay for me. I sometimes use it but I really don't like the Deep Wound effect, that's why I tend to avoid it and stick to Lithe. But It's totally a much more balanced perk then it was before.

I've only seen one guy complain about it, and the complaint was that it was stronger against Nurse and Blight.
So yeah, I think it's pretty damn good as-is.
My favorite part about the new Dead Hard is that I get to completely ignore it as Deathslinger.

This thread amounts to one thing, killer mains mostly happy it’s gone…..and the reality is such a small percentage use it now. I’m sure there’s a use for it but if you have any high ping it’s a perk that will never be used.

As a Demo player, it’s still annoying when you land a perfect Shred only for Dead Hard to activate. However it’s much less annoying than the old one and most of the time I still could’ve avoided it if I played a bit better.
As every other killer I only get hit by a well timed one which is fair.
So I think it was a great change.

Mah dude DH is still just as strong as before, just not able to eat a power and gain distance to extend the chase. I have seen players use it with such skill I'm impressed. I hated old DH for what it could do and was glad when the Devs said using DH for distance was not the intended use for it lmao

My main issue with it is latency, when the perk requires such precise timing a killer with a slightly higher ping than normal can give you situations where you pressed E at what should be the perfect time to tank a hit. But because he has 100 ping you go down anyway.
Remember the "exhausted on the ground" memes from when dedicated servers first dropped? its a basekit feature now.

Genuinely speaking, i'd rather have a perk that'd give me the ability to dodge the hit on command or make distance, not really tank it. I don't like the new DH SOLELY because at the end of the day, it's kinda useless. You're bound to go down regardless, the deep wound status just extends the chase longer then usual, and i don't like having a darker screen. (I dont like the deep wound status, it's very annoying.)
At the end of the day, this is made me realize that regardless of what I say, i relied on dead hard to extend my chases and without it, my chases are the same, it just takes proper timing and everything, so i'd say that the Dead hard nerf was kinda deserved, it was an eye-opener to make me better at the game, but I'd still prefer being able to make distance then tanking a hit.

Honestly - yeah, I am.
I use it sometimes on survivor now, and while occasionally I get latencied (it should be 0.75, imho) it's a very solid perk and you can do some really crazy stuff - especially regarding bodyblocking.
On killer, it's still a strong perk - but it's no longer the obnoxiousness it was.

Now you get hit with it, trigger endurance, get the on hit speed boost aaaand make it to a even further away pallet. Its stronger now.

No i am with you on that. Effect is stronger but Dead Hard is hard to use now. Which makes it fair for me.
And DH is not busted like old version. I really hated when they used it for distance, there was no counter.
