So I tried the new Pharmacy again
And I hate it. I had to 99% my first heal and then waste time running over to another chest to get my second one. Not to mention I had to equip Plunder which wasted two perk slots for only two self heals. I'm better off bringing my own med-kit and built to last or Circle of Healing than I am this trash.
I know that Pharmacy wasn't great before, but it was a fun perk that granted a nice item for you to escape with and use for other builds. Now it's a waste of time and blatantly inferior to what we had before. Why are the devs ignoring this?

Honestly, I don't get the hate towards the buff. I'm getting more medkits with it a lot of the time, and I get one pretty much every trial I run it.
Sure, it'd be nice if it gave a medkit on the first search AND every search while you were injured but honestly it's not that big of a deal, people really don't search chests that much to use them all up before I'm injured.
You don't need Plunderer's with it either if you know where chests spawn.

I agree, based on the patch notes tho it seemed that a dev changed it for their own personal use as they apparently had matches where a "meg" would steal their medkit somehow from the chest, lol
So thats what really caused the change i assume

I'd love to have your games then. I've run Pharmacy long before the "buff" (rework) and I would regularly come across empty chests. Going an entire round without being able to use my perk was very common.

Here's my purposed revamp to improve the current ver while keeping the perk 'vision' the same:
- Keep the faster chest speed, remove the 'reduced sound radius' part. It's just pointless filler
- The first chest you search will always be a green medkit no matter what
- Any time you are injured after completing the first search, reveal chests to you within X range (Like a mini plunderers)
- Those searches are guaranteed a medkit of any rarity under purple (So brown, yellow or green)
This way, you can get the green medkit instantly for when you need it, but also when you are injured later - you can search chests and always get a medkit of varying rarities. The lower rarity aspect is part of balancing the perk and it fits quite well imo

It would be a lot better, but there's still a chance that your team could beat you to the chests. I'd prefer being able to rummage 1 chest for a guaranteed med-kit.

Something that stops me from using Pharmacy is that it requires chests to not be already opened, and Murphy's Law's a #########. If it allowed to rummage through chests if would be way better.

I also thought about this
You could replace the 2nd part with something like this:
"Any time you go from healthy to injured, Pharmacy recieves a token (Max 1). You can spend a token to perform a rummage action on an already opened chest to recieve a medkit of rare or lower quality"

As long as I can't be screwed out of my perk by my teammates I'm happy. I think the first chest should always be a green one though.

Yeah I agree. So basically the new version would look like this:
- Open chests 80% faster
- First search is always a green medkit
- Gain a single token when injured or all chests are open. You can use this to rummage and get a medkit of green or lower rarity
- The open chests part is a fail safe if all chests are open and the first effect hasn't triggered - you'll gain a token so you can have access to the secondary effect.
I think this would make pharmacy a p decent perk worth using overall
